Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 EA's annual college football release is coming up on July 17th, so here are some details and links about the game. IGN's Page EA's Page I'm happy to see that recruiting will be much deeper this year, as recruiting on the 360 last year was pretty dull. Also, the addition of campus legend into the next-gen consoles is nice to see. Talk about your dynasties, campus legends, and whatever else here.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted July 2, 2007 Still nothing that makes me want to go out and drop $50-60 on it.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 Last year I think I played through 8 full seasons or so of dynasty with Rutgers. I won 2 National Titles and 4 Heismans. Can't wait for 08, though it seems its coming out real early.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2007 The Campus Legend mode sounds really horrible. Point Pursuit? What the fuck? You don't win games based on the score, but rather on individual accomplishments... yeah that'll go well.
yankovic fan 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2007 According to the EA website it is not available for the Wii. I guess I'll get NCAA for the PS2 and Madden for the Wii. Too bad the files won't be transferable to export draft classes.
Urban Warfare 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 The demo was released today on Xbox Live. I'm downloading it as we speak. This year, it's Michigan and USC playing.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2007 Time to rebuild the Illini to dominance. Four national titles in the nine seasons I played with them until I finished my last season with a 6-6 record losing against Ohio State, Michigan and Purdue, Wisconsin and Northwestern. 3-5 in the division. Broward83 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 So who all has pre-ordered or is planning to pick the game up tomorrow? I did the express shipping from EB so I can get the game on the 17th, since I don't feel like dealing with the Houston heat and taking a bus out to either a small store or the Galleria one in hopes of someone not picking up their copy. Also, I guess this is as good a time as ever for people who haven't posted their gamertags (360 owners) to post them for some good ol' TSM fun.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted July 16, 2007 Eh, since I drive around Houston all day for a living, I imagine I'll find a copy somewhere around town. I'll have to find a Best Buy or Gamestop on the SE/E side of town though. And, now that I've gotten a new(er) cord, I can get back on Live! Give me a bit of time to recruit (say, 4 or 5 seasons unless the recruiting overhaul made it a lot harder) and I'll put my custom cupcake team up against the powerhouses of the world. If I want to go local, I'll go Sam Houston St. At least I've got a family tie to that school. Either them or Rice, which athletically speaking is about the same. SpikeFayeJettEdBebop 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 more teams in the 360 version than in 07?? I love playing as small schools
LaParkaMarka 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 Sorry for the total newbie question, but does this play exactly like Madden? I picked up Madden last year (after several years of 2k) and I didn't care for the gameplay at all. Plus the player progression was just silly.
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 Sorta, but its a lot smoother. The trick plays, options and different formations make this game much more enjoyable.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 Plus there's no salary cap to work around. So it makes playing as FSU and OU more realistic.
USC Wuz Robbed! 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 I just picked up the game. It's really nothing more than an update of last year's game. Not really anything special.
Craig Th 0 Report post Posted July 17, 2007 I kind of wish I got AllPro or whatever the 2KSports game is called instead of NCAA.
Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2007 All-Pro's getting buried in the reviews, though. As for this game, everything that was "left out" seems to be stuff I didn't care about in the first place, and the additions are fun to screw around with. I'd recommend a rental, but not quite enough for an outright purchase.
MrRant 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2007 The only downsides I've seen reviewed is lack of dynasty and mini games. Game play is supposed to be very good.

Mecca 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2007 I have this game........I'll be starting a dynasty when the rosters get put up for download.....seeing as I like playing with the real players names.
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2007 I bought NCAA and i like it. Def a big improvement over 07 on the 360 in my oppinion. glad i bought it.
Broward83 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2007 First impressions: The video highlights you can save from a game to show in your shrine is a nice touch. Campus legend is a bit tedious, not being able to choose what "event" I want to do at night is a bit of a downer. Along the same lines, practice is annoying..especially as a HB when your line decides to not block for you and you can't gain points to move up the depth chart. Gameplay seems pretty smooth, hot routing took me just a little bit to get used to, with the whole hot route, then select receiver then select route "tree" you have to go thru. Haven't done dynasty yet, so anyone that's been playing that aspect of the game, how is it?
MrRant 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2007 The only downsides I've seen reviewed is lack of dynasty and mini games. Game play is supposed to be very good. ? They're both in. I was referring to All Pro.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2007 Man, I miss being able to play as a DE on defense and kill the tackle on every play. The suction on blocking is awful. Plus, the trigger on jumping the snap varies between ultrasensitive (when you guess wrong, the slightest touch will cause an offsides) and nonexistant (when you do time it right, half the time it doesn't work). Lack of create a school makes me a sad panda. Actually, it makes me an angry panda. Lack of 1AA schools is a bummer too. Create a Legend isn't too bad so far. Made a pass rushing DE and starting for Cal right off the bat. The aforementioned blocking is pissing me off though. Might just go back and make a RB, QB, or MLB. Mike wanna be 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2007 I'm just starting to understand recruiting. I'm still no good at it, but I signed 3 recruits out of 35 during the actual season. It's a start...now I just have to learn to win a game. 3-9 the first time I played/simmed, I got fired. Started over, simmed every game, went 8-4. I suck. I wanted to upgrade Hawaii Tech, and now that can't happen.
