It might. I think one disadvantage of on call name changes is that names don't have a chance to develop an identity. When you had one name and you were stuck with it, the poster made the name. Like, when I originally registered as IDrinkRatsMilk (I actually thought that some of our newer posters might not even know why Marney was calling me IDRM yesterday), it was pure whim, because the Simpsons episode where the Mafia is supplying Springfield elementary with rats' milk was on. That scene was what happened to be in my ear when the registration form came up, so that's what I was. Now... seven years later... Milky is an icon, a state of being.

That kind of thing isn't going to happen with your name, or any of these quickchange names.

I know exactly what you mean. That's how I was when I first started going that way, and it took me a while to build up to me being the chick. That's sort of what I like about it, though.
