Red Baron Posted August 22, 2007 Report Posted August 22, 2007 Motley Crue during the Girls Girls Girls tour.
Kristianna Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 Metallica around 1989 Ah, I said the same thing earlier in the thread. Its cool that someone agrees. After watching tapes of them playing live on the Binge & Purge box set, I have no doubts that in 1989, Metallica ruled the metal world. Especially when they opened with Blackened... just gave me chills.
Black Lushus Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 Alice in Chains doing a tour in support of their album "Dirt" in 92.
Nighthawk Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 GG Allin, any stop on his last tour. That's easy.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted August 24, 2007 Report Posted August 24, 2007 Already seen it. Lividity at someone's house, five years ago.

Darthtiki Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 VH 1984-85 The Police 1983, though I did see them this year Michael Jackson 1984 Prince 1984 Garth Brooks 1992 Metallica 1990-91 GNR- 1991 No Doubt/Bush 1996 U2 1985, 87, 92, Don't get me wrong the Elevation tour was great but Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree and ZooTV would kick ass The Who 1973 Zeppelin 1975 Garbage 1998 Social Distortion 1981 Sublime 1995 KROQ Weenie Roast 1996 KROQ Acoustic Christmas 1995-98
JJMc Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 I would love to have seen Nirvana or Alice in Chains' Unplugged shows. Zeppelin in the early 70s would probably be number one. Also, I'm surprised at how many people said Faith No More. I didn't realize they had that big of a following, I know next to nothing about them.
UZI Suicide Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 Guns N' Roses 1998 show at The Ritz. That was pretty much their peak, IMO. http://youtube.com/watch?v=VtyqIRMJLCs
Jaxxson Mayhem Posted August 26, 2007 Report Posted August 26, 2007 Guns N' Roses 1998 show at The Ritz. That was pretty much their peak, IMO. http://youtube.com/watch?v=VtyqIRMJLCs "Anyway, I'm gonna dedicate this song real quick. And I'm not gonna say anything offensive so that we can make it on TV. This is the song that is not dedicated to drinking or drug addiction or any of that kind of stuff. This song is basically about a walk in the park. This is something called 'Nightrain'." Ha.
Corey_Lazarus Posted August 27, 2007 Report Posted August 27, 2007 The Misfits, '83 or so, just before Danzig broke the band up. You've got everything of theirs worth a damn to hear live (outside of the few good Graves tunes), plus the inclusion of their later, more hardcore/thrash-y stuff. Slayer...wait, I've already seen them plenty of times, and each set has been amazing. I got it. S.O.D. during the taping of Live at Budokan. It's a great live album, and it's fucking S.O.D.
King Kamala Posted August 28, 2007 Report Posted August 28, 2007 The Clash 1982 I would have loved to have seen The Who/The Clash tour that year. I know The Who was without Keith Moon but I think The Who have been at the very least a good live band in any of their incarnations.

Darthtiki Posted August 29, 2007 Report Posted August 29, 2007 Rat Pack 1960 at The Sands in Las Vegas to be specific
B. Brian Brunzell Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 The Clash 1982 Absolutely. I really would have loved to have seen them during the two week CBGB stint. Also, Same Cooke in '63.
King Kamala Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 Has Prince been mentioned? I would have loved to see him around the time of Sign O' The Times, 87 or 88ish. Or on one of the tours where The Time opened up. I got a book that has pictures of all of the old posters from the old Fillmore East and Fillmore West from the mid 60s to the early 70s and there are some really cool bills I would have loved to see. Like Jefferson Airplane with B.B. King and The Who opening from 1969. The Kinks with Elton John opening during Elton John's first U.S. tour in 1970. The ultra bizarre bill with Chuck Berry headlining and Jethro Tull opening. The Allman Brothers with The J. Geils Band opening from 71. Otis Redding with a young Grateful Dead opening. All sorts of crazy, wacked out bills like that.
Red Baron Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 AC/DC during the Let There Be Rock tour. My dad said this was the best concert he'd ever seen. Peter Gabriel during the mid 80's. Stevie Ray Vaughn, at any time. The Who during the Quadrophinia tour. At the time, the Korn/Tool tour during 96 would have been awesome to go to.
