Al Keiper is widely hailed as the king of the Sports Folder (proper noun? yes? no?). Briefly, alfdogg was its prince (more like court jester, haha, alfdogg), handling basketball operations until much like the jeweler whose not-quite-gold crown was exposed by Archimedes, his undoing was related to density.

 

And then there's Maude. And after that, there's Bored. Let's talk to, and about, Bored, on this board. Here's what I know about Bored.

 

- He takes the initiative to start weekly TWIB threads, and draft humorous subtitles relevant to baseball happenings and board jokes.

- He runs a pick 'em tournament for football, in which I do not participate, personally, but nothing against those who do.

- He's a big Oakland A's fan, and also displayed an affinity for the Golden State Warriors when they were good for like one month out of 15 years.

- ...?

 

I don't often see Bored in food, music, NHB, or any other corners of the TSM universe. Maybe I do and don't notice, because he's not a big part of them like he is in sports. So I'd like to know, what is your favorite food, favorite music, and favorite unbarred hold? Are you a skilled badminton player? For whom did you vote? Do you appreciate a good root beer float? Ever hang out at raves?

 

I want to solve the enigma that is Bored. Maybe I just hadn't been trying hard enough BefORE(D).

I'm also a 49ers and when it comes to pro sports I'd rank my passion for my favorite teams in the order of A's, 49ers, and Warriors.

I don't often see Bored in food, music, NHB, or any other corners of the TSM universe. Maybe I do and don't notice, because he's not a big part of them like he is in sports.

I've probably made about 10 posts outside of the Sports folder in the past year so there hasn't been much to notice outside of Sports. Like many long time posters I came to the board because of wrestling but eventually drifted out of that folder. Sports is my niche and the section of the board that I think I make a solid contribution to so I just stick with it.

So I'd like to know, what is your favorite food

Can't say that I have one.

Are you a skilled badminton player?

Nope. I do enjoy playing basketball although my best sport was probably volleyball but I never particularly enjoyed it.

For whom did you vote?

I'm assuming your asking about the 2004 Presidential Election and I chose not to vote. I was once very idealistic and passionate about politics but that ended in recent years.

Do you appreciate a good root beer float?

Never been a root beer fan.

Ever hang out at raves?

Nope.

I prefer being an enigma. And really I'm quite Boring.

Also, taste is subjective. The trouble is that the majority of good posters there are so like-minded with their music, that their only disagreements usually come from about which songs or albums they prefer.

 

But, you always see "special" guys like Mik keep on trying there, what with their Fall Out Boy threads and whatnot. They're reaching for the stars!

IMarkOut4ElDandy would be an interesting subject for a thread such as this one. Whenever I talk to him on the chatroom he seems fairly entertaning, but he very rarely seems to post in the non wrestling sections.

That would have been the original Rantsylvania days with Scott Keith (c. 1999). I honestly have no recollection of what the site looked like in those days or what the status of the message board was (Delphi maybe?).

Not bad. I wish there was more diversity in the folder sometimes, honestly, or at least a kinder, gentler attitude towards those who like top40 and mainstream stuff.

 

I mean, what the fuck, it's just a form of entertainment. I don't shit on anyone here for liking Michael Bay movies.
