Fuzzy Dunlop Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 It's an absolute travesty someone from the NL Central is going to the playoffs. Jesus Christ, dude, say something new, please! Every post from you in this thread is the same damn thing.
CanadianChris Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 We said the same thing about the Central last year, and the West the year before that. It's nothing new.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 The Orioles got Victor Santos from the Reds. I think their plan is to just bring in every pitcher that they can on the cheap and find a couple that might be worth keeping!

Every post from you in this thread is the same damn thing. I'm sorry, I really should focus more on posting the details of my contacting a BDSM/Fetish escort.
Fartsauce Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 I'm suprised nobody has mentioned it yet, but Troy Glaus was named in that online steroid scandal. Hopefully the Jays rid themselves of his contract, injuries and inconsistency in the offseason.
vivalaultra Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 It was mentioned. Either in this thread or in the super-special "Rick Ankiel + HGH = BFF" thread. It'll probably die down soon, ala the GMJ/HGH story earlier this season.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted September 9, 2007 Author Report Posted September 9, 2007 51 home runs for Alex Rodriguez. It's worth noting that 61 is still the official American League record.
Guest NYankees Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 51 home runs for Alex Rodriguez. It's worth noting that 61 is still the official American League record. 61 is also the Major League highest for an individual not on Steroids.

Guest NYankees Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 No Habla Ingles means that he was on the Juice.
Bruiser Chong Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Since when has that stopped anyone from throwing Sammy under the bus?

It's worth noting that 61 is still the official American League record. 61 is also the Major League highest for an individual not on Steroids. There isn't even a substantiated rumor on Sammy Sosa. Same goes for Maris as well, so Sosa ought to get the benefit of the doubt too.
Guest Soriano's Torn Quad Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I'm willing to believe Sosa was juiced. Hey, Reds. Be less bad.
Mik Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Yeah... you'd think after all these years something would have come out on Sosa. A small unsubstantiated rumor. Something. But there hasn't been. As the years go on, can people just keep blindly assuming?
KingPK Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I think it might be time to give Matsuzaka a lighter load in the final weeks. His last handful of starts (including tonight's) have not been good at all, so you might as well save whatever gas he's got left in the tank for October instead of wasting it. Everyone and their mother wants to see more of Buchholz, so let him get some more experience for next year (including a start against the Yankees).

geniusMoment Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 This clip makes me love Bert Blyleven, watch the whole thing, trust me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjyKHGew0FI
Dobbs 3K Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I always thought the big complaint with Sosa was the corked bat, not the steroids. I'm tired of people ragging on the NL Central (yes, partly because my favorite team is in it). There's always one division that is a little weaker every year. Remember when the AL Central used to be called "Comedy Central?" It's cyclical...there's only so much high end talent to go around MLB. The Astros, Pirates, Reds, and Cards are all entering re-build mode, while the Brewers and Cubs seem to be on the way up. Just part of sports.
Brett Favre Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 51 home runs for Alex Rodriguez. It's worth noting that 61 is still the official American League record. 61 is also the Major League highest for an individual not on Steroids. Who's to say A-Rod qualifies? Eh? So now we suspect anyone who hits HRs?
mike546 Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 A-Rod just hit ANOTHER home run. unreal.
Bruiser Chong Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I can see why Jim Hendry was so eager to trade two youngsters and pull Sean Marshall from the rotation to make room for Steve Trachsel.
Guest Soriano's Torn Quad Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Sean Marshall wasn't very good either, you know.
Boon Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Beckett the first to 18 wins, striking out 8 through 7IP.
Brett Favre Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I'm not sure how close it was, but Wang has also won his 18th game.
Dobbs 3K Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Heh...Brewers became the first road team in MLB history to lead off a game with three consecutive home runs.
Steve J. Rogers Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 51 home runs for Alex Rodriguez. CanadianChris Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 I'll need a little something more than Jose Canseco's word on matters.
