kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Looks like Kotz flaked. Funny, considering he crushed me in last year's Whatever-We-Played-In Bowl. At least now I can change the Vol's uniform colors from pink back to orange. Being PSU would have been funny, considering how much I hate that region, but even I have my limits.
HarleyQuinn Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Really need the win this week... come on Arkansas and Miss!
phoenixrising Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Shit...forgot. Week 3 Games to Make Picks For SATURDAY Virginia Florida Michigan Washington Southern Miss Arkansas Mississippi Louisville Georgia Tech Boise State USC Hawaii Florida State Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the USC/Nebraska game? 56 Tiebreak #2: How many passing yards will Tennessee's Erik Ainge have against Florida? 200
Guest Vitamin X Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Playing the #1 team in the BCS.. wonderful. Hoping for the upset. Those are 4 games I'm really unsure about, except I think Arkansas can beat `Bama, and that even Virginny can beat NC.
Bored Posted September 15, 2007 Author Report Posted September 15, 2007 Angel Grace Blue's picks will be used as replacements for Ohio State if Gert T doesn't show up.
Angel_Grace_Blue Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 Angel Grace Blue's picks will be used as replacements for Ohio State if Gert T doesn't show up. Ha, sucks to be him! Oh, wait.
Gert T Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 SATURDAY Virginia at North Carolina - Virginia Tennessee at Florida - Florida Notre Dame at Michigan - Michigan Ohio State at Washington - Ohio State Southern Miss at East Carolina - East Carolina Arkansas at Alabama - Alabama Mississippi at Vanderbilt - Vandy Louisville at Kentucky - Louisville Boston College at Georgia Tech - Georgia Tech Wyoming at Boise State - Boise State USC at Nebraska - USC Hawaii at UNLV - UNLV Florida State at Colorado- Florida State Tiebreak #1: How many total points will be scored in the USC/Nebraska game? 56 Tiebreak #2: How many passing yards will Tennessee's Erik Ainge have against Florida? 200
Danville_Wrestling Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 I'm just sick. Leave it to Alabama to score with 8 seconds left to send me down in defeat for the third straight week.
Vern Gagne Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 I'm with you. I blame the ref for the phantom interference call.
Mecca Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Awesome so Arkansas gets jobbed and Louisville goes stupid and I'm going to lose because of it, fuck it really.
teke184 Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Playing the #1 team in the BCS.. wonderful. Hoping for the upset. Those are 4 games I'm really unsure about, except I think Arkansas can beat `Bama, and that even Virginny can beat NC. Vitamin X, If USC and Nebraska don't score anymore points, you may win. I think we're at the limit of where you win on the tiebreaker.
CanadianChris Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 I'm with you. I blame the ref for the phantom interference call. It was a makeup call for the one that they missed, even though the official was standing three feet away and looking right at it.
teke184 Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 NM, Vitamin X Nebraska scored, so at 59 total points (42+17), I win.
KingPK Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 I have a pretty decent week overall, but of course the three I get wrong are the three that were different from Michigan's. Shi't.
Cuban Linx Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 If Florida State win i'll win outright but even if they don't i'll win by tiebreaker, looks like i'm moving to 3-0.
Cartman Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 WOOT! First win of the season over a ranked team!
Bored Posted September 16, 2007 Author Report Posted September 16, 2007 For the 2nd time in the history of the contest, tiebreak question #2 decides a match-up as AboveAverage484 beats UZI Suicide by coming closer to guessing Erik Ainge's passing yards of 249. Vampiro69 Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Alright! I finally win by tie-breaker! I always seem to lose by the tie-breaker.
Mecca Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 I'd like to thank the SEC officials for my loss......fuckin bitches.
teke184 Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 I'd like to thank the SEC officials for my loss......fuckin bitches. Get in line with Nutt to file your complaint.
Bored Posted September 16, 2007 Author Report Posted September 16, 2007 Things are still going to form with the rankings, there are nine unbeatens left and they represent 1 thru 9 in the rankings. I thought this week we might have a 2-1 team pass a 3-0 team but didn't quite happen but in the next couple of weeks, as things space out more, we should finally get some CONTROVERSY~. It looked like teke184 might lose the top spot with a below average week but he hangs on for now. Very few changes this week with the Top 4 all winning with the only real drama is to see who is the top 2-1 team in the land. Bored Championship Series Rankings thru Week 3 1. LSU - teke184 1.65 2. Oklahoma - Secret Agent 1.9 3. South Carolina - Cuban Linx 2.65 4. Syracuse - CanadianChris 3.05 5. Florida - Urban Warfare 3.7 6. Texas - UTBroward 5.05 7. Hawaii - Fokai 5.05 8. N.C. State - AboveAverage484 7.25 9. Miami of Ohio - Hawk 34 7.45 10. Virginia - Edwin MacPhisto 8.05 Other Receiving Votes: Georgia Tech (iggymcfly), Nebraska (Mecca), Oregon (nogoodnick), Temple (Ortonsault)
Secret Agent Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 If only I hadn't gone with Nebraska to actually succeed with something like, I dunno... beating someone important?
teke184 Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 If only I'd gone with Vandy over Ole Miss or Ohio State over Washington, would we have avoided CONTROVERSY~!? BTW, Secret Agent, you only need to be in the Top 2 to get into the Bored Bowl, though the Conference Game tends to fuck one or more teams over every year. Just ask Canadian Chris about it.
Secret Agent Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 We don't play again this year do we? I think we played when I had A&M.
teke184 Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 We don't play again this year do we? I think we played when I had A&M. Conferences changed this year, though we may play OOC. The Big 12 teams are now in a separate conference from the SEC teams.
teke184 Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 No, you don't play me this year, Secret Agent. Realignment pushed you into the Big 8 (Big Ten / Big 12 teams) conference this year and you don't play me OOC. (I've already played Penn State, Georgia Tech, and Boise State OOC and I still have to play Syracuse (Canadian Chris) and Arizona)
AboveAverage484 Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 Man, I might be higher in the rankings if I would have remembered to pick the Thursday game not once but TWICE!
kkktookmybabyaway Posted September 16, 2007 Report Posted September 16, 2007 So will I be doing this from now on?
Bored Posted September 16, 2007 Author Report Posted September 16, 2007 Unless something changes, yes.
