Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2007 We've all seen the previews and know what this is about. It should be good. Watch and discuss.
Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2007 Having picked up the "free" DVD rental from Blockbuster, I just finished watching the pilot episode; I have to say, it definitely looks interesting... I'm trying to figure out where I've seen Captain Awesome before... Do any of the other networks do that new shows "sampler" thing? I thought that was actually a really good idea... I mean, I don't know what y'all's TV watching habits are, but I never would have even heard of this show otherwise...
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2007 Having picked up the "free" DVD rental from Blockbuster, I just finished watching the pilot episode; I have to say, it definitely looks interesting... I'm trying to figure out where I've seen Captain Awesome before... Ryan McPartlin. As to where you might have seen him, he's shown up in several TV shows, such as "According to Jim" and "Living With Fran". Mainly been one shot deals though. Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2007 Living With Fran, that was it. Thanks.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2007 It seemed like something I will be watching. Although between this and Bionic Woman, NBC has really dropped the ball on the looks of the leading ladies. Bionic woman chick, while not particularly cute, does have her moments, but the blonde on Chuck...well...HD is not her friend and she is downright unattractive in a lot of shots. But hey...Adam Baldwin. I haven't watched Journeyman or Life yet. But so far, I will probably be watching Chuck, but not so much Bionic Woman. That kinda sucked. Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2007 Life intrigues me; I'll probably give it the initial run, at least. I'm not feeling Journeyman at all. High Definition may not be that broad's friend, but she looks alright enough in standard; and since I have a near pathological refusal to "upgrade" to HD, that's good enough for me. Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted September 23, 2007 I've seen the commercials enough times to be 95% turned off from Chuck. Adam Baldwin is the only thing that interests me about it.
Jonathon 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2007 Saw the "free pilot" thing and was really impressed. Kickass action scene at the beginning, and the humor won me over. This and "journeyman" look like they'll be keepers.

Ginger Snaps 0 Report post Posted September 24, 2007 I've seen the commercials enough times to be 95% turned off from Chuck. Adam Baldwin is the only thing that interests me about it. Adam Baldwin was probably the main person that annoyed me in the pilot, though. It doesn't look like a bad show, so I'll probably give it some time.
mfn 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2007 I DVR'd it so I'm going to watch it today. WAY off topic here, but our original cable box went off, I hooked up the new one today, and now we have Showtime and Cinemax on demand... for free..... how the hell does that work? ** EDIT ** Just watched the first episode, and I was rather entertained. Seems like it's going to be a promising show.
Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 I wasn't let down by this at all. Very enjoyable and fun.
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 I just watched it. I liked it. It's a bit different and the charaters are likeable. I'll be adding it to my illegal download... err... weekly viewing habits
Cartman 0 Report post Posted September 26, 2007 I liked it as well, solid lead in to Heroes
fazzle 0 Report post Posted October 2, 2007 Heh, I liked the shoutout to Lost during the government conspiracy montage. "Oceanic Flight 815 was shot down by..." I didn't catch the rest. Did anyone else hear it?
death_by_burrito 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2007 I heard that line too, but can't remember what he said after that. I'll probably watch it again later tonight cause my brother missed it, so i'll keep an ear out. This is a really good show. Second episode wasn't as funny as the first, but still interesting though. I'll keep watching.
St. Gabe 0 Report post Posted November 18, 2007 The way they are doing the eventual love interest thing is formulaic, sure, but I'll be damned if it isn't entertaining. I'm rooting for this guy. That means somebody (the WRITERS) are doing their job. Give them the money they want so we can see this thing through. This show is almost taking over for Lost as my fave. C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2007 Chuck's a surprisingly good show. It keeps getting better and better, IMO.
Cartman 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2007 Couldn't agree more. My friend and I usually hang out Monday nights so we can watch Heroes and RAW, and this season we decided to give Chuck a few episodes to see if it was as good as the previews seemed. Now it's almost as if we look forward to Chuck more than Heroes even, and that's not saying Heroes has been bad because I am totally loving that too. It's a shame this whole strike buisness had to happen this year because it seems to me there is an abundance of good new shows like Chuck, Heroes, Reaper, FNL, etc. and I hate to know that these seasons are being cut short. Hopefully once things get resolved they will pick right up where they all leave off.

Ripper 0 Report post Posted November 20, 2007 I am still slightly distracted by the unhotness of sarah, but I still like the show. But the Bryce is back thing...there was a certain realism about the show up until now (yes, the show about the guy with all this info in his head) but Bryce being in a chamber healing all this time...ugh. Jaxxson Mayhem 0 Report post Posted December 3, 2007 I am still slightly distracted by the unhotness of sarah, but I still like the show. I'm sorry. I SEE what you typed here, but I don't comprehend it. Me either. Yvonne Strahovski is INSANELY hot. Also, Rachel Bilson's 2 show appearance was amazing also because she too is insanely hot. But, I can't forget the Victoria Secret model, Mini Anden. Can't leave out Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) I'm fairly certain someone from NBC saw what I was dreaming one time and decided to make a show with all of them. Also, someone said it's moving to Saturday(??????????) nights after January when The Sarah Connor Chronicles moves to Monday nights. Whatdafuxupwitdat? And...... From Hollywood Reporter : "Gladiators," hosted by Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali, will replace freshman dramedy "Chuck," which recently was picked up for a full season but only has a few more episodes in the can because of the strike. "Chuck" is scheduled to air original episodes through Dec. 3. No decision has been made when and where the show's remaining couple of new segments will run. Mr. S£im Citrus 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2008 "Okay, we can do this the easy way, or the hard way... The easy way is I shove his foot up your ass." "What's the hard way?" "I use my foot." Come on... surely I'm not the only one still watching?
Cartman 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2008 I love this show, and I hate the strike more and more for ruining this season of TV shows. Oh and Strahovsky got even hotter when she revealed her Austrailian accent during the commercial breaks thursday night.
Jaxxson Mayhem 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2008 This show is still insanely awesome. Are they out of episodes now? Also, fuck this strike. I'm pretty sure I'm against the writers now.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2008 Yeah these were that last two episodes they had in the can before the strike. Most unfortunate.
C Dubya 04 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2008 I thought that they were both pretty good episodes. I'm glad that Chuck got picked up early, as I think that the writers strike will kill some shows that didn't have Chuck's early momentum. Also, I love Yvonne Strahovski oh so much.
