I thought all Little Caesar's used to be square. The last time I ate them or was in one was about 10 or 15 years ago, but I vaguely remember that.

What came first? The Bigfoot, Big Big Cheese, or Dominator?

It's kind of funny locally as "The Dominator" has long since stopped existing but we have a local place doing good business with their "Equalizer", which is the same concept and used to have ads mocking the Dominator. I think there used to be a Terminator from another one too.

Little Ceasers is $5 for a reason. I used to say there's no such thing as a bad pizza, but that was before I had Little Ceasers.

While it's not great, it's far from the worst.

Dollar for dollar, it's only slightly below Dominoes. Caesar's used to be better, too, before they restructured their business model into the $5 thing. Remember their Bigfoot pizza? Not bad. It was a big rectangle, and I liked that it had slices in the middle that were square with no crust.

As far as chains... I'll give the honor of worst to Numero Uno (except CiCi's, but they suck so bad they don't even count).

You know who else is good? Shakey's.

Going off on a bit of a tangent here, but the concept of Show Biz Pizza/Chuck E. Cheese is solid, I think. Pizza, games, entertainment. They just suck at it. Shakey's is like Chuck E. Cheese, but good.

Holy God, CiCi's is bad. That place seriously fucking sucks.

I haven't been to Little Caesars in a long time. I should go back some time.

I actually think the Old Little Caesar's was a hell of a lot better tasting then the revamped "Hot & Ready" Little Caesar's of today. However, as has been said many a time before in this thread, it is $5 for a reason, and while it isn't the best, it is still a good deal, especially when you have to pick up a bunch of pizzas for a large group.

This JN News guy fascinates me, though. In another thread, he listed his favorite restuarants, and they were like McDonald's, Burger King, Pizza Hut, and KFC. Now, he's saying that Pizza Hut has gone downhill?!? I'm beginning to wonder if he tops out at Chili's, quality-wise.

I'm thinking that for a nice night out, he goes to Denny's.

No.

Applebee's.

I've never been to Applebees, TGI Friday's or Chilli's and I plan on continuing that streak.

I was trying to engage in a discussion with a guy from another board from Portland about local restaurants and he said his favorite place to go was Chilli's. We have one of the highest numbers of restaurants per capita in Portland and the guy's favorite place is Chilli's. It was then I realzied there are millions of JN News' across this far nation.

Guys, Chili's is good. The atmosphere sucks, true, but they do have some pretty good stuff. Just get it to go and your problem is solved. They're easily the best of that style of chain restaurant.

That Tuscan Meats bullshit from Papa Johns is wretched. It's cheap sandwich salami on pizza. The tomato slices have the texture of a wet bandage.

I used to love Little Ceasars when I was a kid.

I remember there was a Little Ceasars in the Kmart and it was the best part of Kmart, not including the wrestling toys....

One of my favorites was that they had a football shaped pizza or something. I don't know why but, yeah.

Today, if I want pizza I usually go for Domino's and their 555 deal. And they are mean for making it 3 pizzas for $5.55 now..

And no, I don't eat all 3 pizzas by myself. It's usually ordered during football games. So that means I haven't had it in a while.

I'm making myself want to eat pizza now.

Kmart's Best Part is the new Pizza Hut's Game Face

That has a musical quality to it, that KMart's Best Part.

Why? I don't fault anyone for not wanting to go, but you post enough about how you're always eating fast food. It's not as if your's is a discerning palate.

TGIF has decent appetizers, but that's all I remember about them. I never go to those type places anymore.

I really don't know and I don't have a discerning palate. It's mostly just to say I haven't eaten at those places. I don't have any real bias against them. In fact, I buy those frozen TGI Fridays appetizers occasionally at the grocery store.

And I actually just broke that streak on Thursday when I went to Chili's for lunch. A couple of friends wanted to go. I just got some appetizer sampler and it wasn't very good at all. Even the free chips and salsa wasn't very good.

The thing to order at Chili's is the chicken crispers. I think it's like tempura batter or something, and the dipping sauce is aces.

Those alone are what make me defend Chili's.

You can get them as an appetizer or a meal, in which case you get side dishes. Chili's also has good mashed potatoes. Not unique, they're the same as a lot of places, but good. Has the skins still in it, which I like.

The chicken crispers were in the appetizer sampler I got. They were easily the best part of the sampler but there was something slightly odd about the texture of 'em. The boneless buffalo wings were terrible. How can buffalo wings be so awesome and boneless buffalo wings be so mediocre? And the mozzarella sticks were mozarella sticks. I can't remember having truly great mozarella sticks but I've never gotten any that were worse than "Not bad". These were not bad.
