WWe.com has a feature called "Superstar Ink" where they basically take pictures of a superstar's tattoes and get the stories behind them and such. Most are superficial fluff, however they profiled MVP most recently and it's actually pretty interesting. I hope he doesn't touch up the Malcolm X prison tat he has on his chest, sure it's pretty bad but it is what it is and tells a better story. We've seen MVP without his shirt on - where are these unphotographed gang tats? Are they just airburshed out of the photos? I don't think gangbangers would ink legs and asses...

Are RAW, SD and ECW going HD anytime soon? I think I heard something about iMPACT going HD some time in 2008, what about the E shows?

Smackdown is going HD on January 8, 2008 on The CW. No word on Raw or ECW, but it's likely they could jump over to HD since USA and Sci-Fi just launched their HD channels.

Any idea if Time Warner Cable is going to be getting those HD channels?

Yup. She even went the Ultimate Warrior path by legally changing her name to Chyna.

Does she not do research before doing dumb shit?

Watch the video that is in that link of her. I don't know whats wrong with her but I think she might have some form of mental retardation...I'm serious. Every time she is on tv, she really does seem like a mentally challenged person. Now I know many of those times she was fucked up on something but 24/7 for the last 8 years?

And her face just looks bizarre. She looked awful when she first came in and had that square jaw but now after all that plastic surgery she almost looks mannequin like

If it wasn't for Road Runner I would have jumped to DirecTV for the HD service a while ago. The sport packages/NFL Network has been temping me for the last year or two.

I really like that Edge promo w/ the chainsaw. I'm a mark for chainsaws and some of my favorite movies features chainsaws - Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Scarface, American Psycho, Spider-man 2, and The Evil Dead. I even bought a fake chainsaw for Halloween last year.

Damage control time. From WWE.com...

Cena: Steroids? "Absolutely not"

In a country in which the news media is highly suspect, and the quality of unbiased reporting has been thrown into the trash can, CNN has stooped to new depths. Notwithstanding the fairness, or lack therein, of CNN’s recent piece entitled “Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling,” perhaps the best example of how CNN misrepresents and unfairly presents their biased, if not illegal, point of view is the comparison of WWE’s unedited video above to CNN’s edited version. CNN’s depiction of John Cena as it relates to steroids is not only professionally and morally wrong, but damaging to his character.

well maybe not so much WWE damage control, from Observer:

The WWE web site today showed the unedited CNN interview with John Cena that was used in Wednesday night's "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling" special.

The result showed an editing process that, by taking a quote out of context, made it appear John Cena was cavalierly admitting steroid use, and teasing that he couldn't be caught, making him come off very bad in the process.

On the contrary, Cena said largely what you would expect him to say. He was well spoken, and whether you believe him or not, issued a complete denial when asked if he had ever used steroids, even in his football and bodybuilding days.

"Absolutely not," was his response.

The quote that they used was part of a long answer regarding society, that whenever an athlete sets a standard or does something impressive, people immediately accuse them of doing performance enhancing drugs. His response was that people are going to believe what they want, and even though he's passed drug tests, people will still believe what they believe. But, he noted, no matter what they believe or what he says, they can't prove it.

Cena overall spoke well in the interview. He was a little contradictory at different points on the steroid issue. At one point, when asked what he thought of others who are using steroids in his profession, he would not say anything negative about them. At another point, he said that athletes who fail tests for drugs that are illegal should be put up on criminal charges and be sent to prison, saying steroids should be treated in a legal sense the same as cocaine.

There is no excuse for the complete manipulation of his words, particularly on such a sensitive issue. It sadly ruins the credibility of what was, for the most part, a well put together piece.

so it sounds like CNN was trying to paint wrestling in a horrible light, guess I should not be shocked since the media likes to make things sound alot worse due to one incident

Guess they couldn't say that Triple H lost the title at Wrestlemania XX, or that Randy Orton won his first world title to some non-entity. They will probably just not mention anything more about it then that, since it looks like Benoit is the only one whose name you cant click on. In fact if you click on Triple H they make no mention on who beat him for the title and on Orton's they briefly mention Benoit but mostly talk about the ensuing feud with Triple H instead.

According to Bret Hart's book, the WM13 match between Hart and Shawn Michaels was originally talked about to be a ladder match with the loser having to shave their head bald.
