That step back jumper that Durant has is going to be completely unstoppable with his length.

Kid is going to be really really good.

Hawks and Pistons in a really good game right now. Hopefully the Hawks can pull it out.

Pistons just got bailed out by a bitch ass call. And the Pistons win by one.

Bullshit ending, but the Hawks still have nothing to hang their heads about.

i'm not exaclty crying for atlanta considering how they tied the game. Sheed jumped straight up and down while Smith leaped forward into him. reggie miller esque, then again it always pissed me off when he used to do that too. Only when I was rooting against his team

Thats basketball. You get penalized for leaving your feet early. Same way that Rip Hamilton caught Marvin williams the same way. You keep your feet, and if you don't. they are going to make that call.

But Billups just had his shot blocked at the end of the game. But honestly, you have to blame the retardedness of Mike Woodson. On the sideline you have Mario West and in the game you have Acie Law and Josh Childress. All of which could or should have been matched up with Mike Woodson. Instead he has his SF on him.

But hey, its only game two. Still awesome game and I don't think you can watch this team without knowing that this Hawks team can be something special if they had a slightly smart coach.

I had no idea how fast he was. I thought it was just the college game making him look that way. The team plays better with him on the floor too. Of course that means that he should be out the game from the middle of the third on and let Tyronne Lue and his inability to defend ANYONE allow teams back in the game.

A quarter and a half into the game, and every Laker has scored. That's gotta be a record or something.

Wasn't Lue the guy who made a name for himself by guarding Iverson in the NBA Finals? Not saying he's a great defender or anything but just throwing that out there.

Anyways, good start by the Pistons. Looks like their demise was greatly exaggerated.

Tyronne Lue did a better job staying with Iverson almost 8 years ago than the Lakers at the time. He is a walking layup line now and has been for the last couple of years.

You know, if the Lakers can play like this, they and Kobe should kiss and make up. Because as of right now, the team looks great. Adding Fisher in free agency was such a great move.

I still have a bad feeling that once Lamar comes back, the chemistry's going to be ruined. I wish we could dump him.

While I don't like the losses, at least they are keeping it somewhat close against teams that are better than them. There is hope providing they are still around.

Though I should have thought of him before, Acie Law is a perfect example for my debate with you, Rip. Once he gets some of the rawness out of his game, he is going to be one hell of a point guard. I thought early in the game he was passing up open shots, but he showed that he can shoot the ball as well as distribute it. Like Metro, I was hoping that he would fall into the Pistons' lap.

The Hawks, like I said about the Bulls a year or two ago, are a young team that needs to mature and play more of a team game, and it might take them trading off Joe Johnson. The guy does a little too much one-on-one to the detriment of the rest of the guys on the floor.

And there were bad calls both ways during the game. But hold your head up Rip, the Hawks of say two years ago would have gotten ground into dust by the Pistons and would have lost by at least 10-15. They're a young team on the rise, and once they get a couple of good veterans and grow up a litte bit, they're going to be a force in their division.

You know, i was thinking that last night too, that Joe Johnson was doing too much Iso. But you know what. Watch Mike Woodson after it didn't work the first play and you see he did the "run it again" thing where coaches just twirl their fingers. The "Iso Joe on the Wing" "play". Marvin Williams was giving the Pistons hell going to the rim and they just stop calling his number.

I do think that of all the guys on the floor, Joe is the most selfish right now and makes the rest of the team end up standing around and is single handedly killing the uptempo offense they are trying to run. I know there are going to be alot of turnovers if they want to run alot so I accept that but guys like Joe and Lue bring the offense to a screeching hault.

I have to admit though, if Jarvis Hayes stays healthy the Pistons are a little scary(although I do think Tayshawn is eventually going to cool down on his shoting).

But that is a big if with Jarvis. Otherwise, the team looks damn good.

The coach has to learn too. Whether he does or not is the thing.... How long has he been head coach of the Hawks?

This is year 3. There is no got to learn with Mike Woodson. He is simply a horrible head coach.

I can not accept a guy that is in his third year as a coach and still has to use timed substitutions because he has a tendacy to forget to put guys in the game. Or his constant attempts to keep his players humble. Its annoying and he has to go, but its just not going to happen with the front office being such a mess.

Zack Randolph shoots wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much.

This was the first Isiah trade that I didn't kill, but the more I think about it the more I wonder how Randolph and Curry will co-exist on the front line. Neither guy can play defense worth a lick and they both love having the ball in their hands.

Yeah, Curry taking only 8 shots last night wasn't cool, although alot of that has to do with Crawford still being a fucking chucker and will put up 15-20 shots a game. EVERY Knick game should be in the 70's and 80's with them constantly pounding it inside to Curry or Zach. I should be the most boring ass basketball in the history of the world.

But they would win.

They've been good together, and Randolph is a pretty good man to man defender. Curry's been trying to block shots all of a sudden too. Randolph doesn't really play inside. He'll usually start out in the perimeter and just either shoot a J or go iso, look for the double, and then if it doesn't come he'll post a little and try to get inside that way.

That is what he is doing now, and it is going to cause the same problems as it did in Portland(him dominating the ball too much). When he is on the block on the inside he is most effective.

And sorry dude, but he is an Amare level defender. They both are. They might get you a weakside shot block or something but most other times, they are just the worse defender in the building.
