BUF @ MIA: Call me crazy but I think Miami might get that first win here. It sounds like I'm trashing the Bills, but I can't see this team above .500. Dolphins by 3. JAC @ TEN: Is Gray or Garrard starting here? Either way I will take the Titans to win it by 6. CLE @ PIT: The Browns are a nice little story, but let's get real here. Steelers by 10. PHI @ WAS: The Eagles look flat out done, but the Redskins haven't been much better of late. I'll go with the Skins by 7. ATL @ CAR: Bleh. Panthers by 6. DEN @ KC: Chiefs are actually pretty decent at home and Denver is all kinds of bad this year. Without Elam they might be winless. Chiefs by 10. MIN @ GB: Vikings looked good stomping the Chargers, but going to Lambeau and winning? I can't see it, regardless of Peterson. Packers by 7. CIN @ BAL: Ravens utterly stunk up the joint on MNF, but they should give the Bengals a bit of payback here. The old men by 4. DET @ ARI: The Lions aren't as good on the road, so I will go with a mild upset here and say the Cardinals by 3. CHI @ OAK: The Bears need a win in the worst way and the Raiders still aren't any good. Bears by 4. DAL @ NYG: Cowboys got the better of the Giants in Dallas, but now it's time for the Giants to step it up. NYG by 3 in what should be a good one. IND @ SD: Chargers have given the Colts trouble in recent years but this is Norv Turner we're talking about here. Indy by 13. SF @ SEA: Whose idea was it to have this on MNF? Carr seems to have no idea how to run an offense and cannot sense pressure coming, which explains why he gets sacked all the time and Steve Smith gets less than 20 yards receiving a game when he starts. Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 6, 2007 Thankfully Green Bay's run defense is better than their pass defense for this week. I'm not looking forward to Purple Jesus, even if it is at Lambeau. The one big difference between San Diego's offense and Green Bay's, and I wouldn't have believed I'd be saying this at this point in the season, is that Green Bay has a much stronger passing offense right now to get ahead in points where Minnesota might be forced to abandon the run.. even if they have more of a chance for a homerun running play than a big pass play at the moment. It's almost as if the Lions and Vikings have switched spots in the past few years now. Cowboys-Giants should be a good test to see where New York really stands right now. Same thing with the Brownies playing at Pittsburgh. I bet Indy/San Diego and SF/Seattle looked like great primetime games in the preseason, but they'll really end up being blowouts. Shame. As for the the Raiders, I hope after this game, Lane Kiffin benches McCown (again!) and starts playing JaMarcus Russell. The season is a wash and its pointless not to play him after this game. The Raiders look a little better than last year, but again its the defense keeping the Silver and Black in games and the offense coming up lame again and again. As far as i'm concerned, Dante Culpepper's time as an NFL starter has sadly run out. Without his mobility, Culpepper has shown questionable descision making and has really shown that his mobilty was more than half of his game. Without it, Culpepper is a below average NFL quaterback. This team as a decent core (mostly defense) but without any decent veteran leadership (which is a Raider calling card) as well as an outdated offense, this team will be a bottom feeder for the forseable future. I really like Lane Kiffin, but its hard to put together a team when the owner still thinks its the 1970s. Its hard to be a Raider fan these days. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The 72-73 Dolphins are tied with 5 other franchises at 18 games in a row. New England really doesn't have anything to prove after this. If they go perfect, and smash through the postseason, I don't know what else they can say they've accomplished. Fuck, if I was Belichick or Brady, I'd be happy to retire with that intact. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted November 6, 2007 The 49ers were kind of a phony 7-9 last year. I took a look and they had a differential of -114 on the season, which is really horrible. They won a bunch of games that were close, and got killed a bunch of other times. The Lions had the worst record in the NFC and even they had a better differential (-93). Once you've been caught cheating, in the court of public opinion, you've probably gotten away with worse; and the burden of proof is on NE to show evidence that they've never cheated at any other point.
