Guest Vitamin X Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 What the hell is going on this week? Rams, Dolphins and Falcons are all winning, and Cleveland is ahead of Pittsburgh. Cleveland is hardly a surprise. At Pittsburgh, of course it's a surprise. Its a surprise, but not that big of one. The big surprise to me is Ryan Grant running over the Vikings while Peterson isn't doing much of anything. Oh yeah. Green Bay being able to run the ball- Grant with 92 yards in the first half against the league's 2nd ranked run defense- is giving me entirely way too much hope for the season. What this does mean though, is that they do look like a team that is getting much better as the season has gone on. It makes me wonder how much better they would have been (and how much more of a shot they would have at a championship) had they acquired Randy Moss instead of the Patriots. EDIT: 100 yards! First one Minny's allowed all year.
Your Paragon of Virtue Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 I was wondering that too actually. If Brett Favre got his wish this would have been a team with a serious downfield threat that defenses would have had to gameplan around. I still like their chances of going to the Super Bowl though. And at that point, it's one game, anything can happen. I'd really like to see Favre get another ring.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Well, the bet was on Jennings being one of those threats, and I think he's responded well. He's even had one of those Moss-like "jump over two defenders" catches earlier. But actually, I think their biggest offseason blunder was drafting Justin Harrell over Greg Olsen, since Bubba Franks has been pretty useless outside of blocking in the run game. Also, the Browns beating up Pittsburgh today is like Detroit beating up Denver last week. In that, "Okay they look pretty good this year, but THAT good?" sense. Remember that Pittsburgh's only loss this year has come to Arizona.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Oh shit, I didn't even notice that.
fazzle Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Miami 3 Buffalo 2 9:00 left in the third quarter. EXCITING NFL ACTION~!
fazzle Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Bulger just connected with Bruce to put the Rams up 27-7 on the Saints. I think at least one team's quest for 0-16 is over.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Wisconsin, your cows and corpses are safe. 27-0~ Fucking FOX cuts away to a "more competitive matchup" between Philly and Washington. Yuck. Why not just take it to Miami-Buffalo?
bob_barron Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Antonio Pittman just had a 43-yard FU run against New Orleans. It's one of those days
CanadianChris Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Peterson just left the game with a leg injury.
CanadianChris Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Pittsburgh came all the way back and took the lead on Cleveland...then gave up a ridiculous 100-yard kickoff return for a TD. The returner let the ball hit the ground and roll all the way back to the goal line before picking it up and running with it.
JHawk Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Browns-Steelers is living up to the rivalry. What a football game.
Guest Vitamin X Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 I wish I'd got that game instead of Denver-KC. The Chiefs only looked like they had some life towards the end of the 3rd quarter, but it's been all Denver since then. I'm going back to Philly-Washington. Fuck, I hope the second games today are better.
Kahran Ramsus Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Miami does their job to keep the dream alive at least.
Zetterberg is God Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Bufallo's offence played like shit most of the day but stepped up when it counted and got the win. Marshawn Lynch is quickly becoming my favorite Bills player.
fazzle Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 That was an ugly piece of shit game. Buffalo wins, but it sure felt like a loss. Time to get ready for the 30 point loss to the Pats.
Ripper Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Falcons win 2 in a row and are 2 games out of first place in the NFC South. That is pretty fucking bad.
Richard Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Wisconsin, your cows and corpses are safe. 27-0~ Fucking FOX cuts away to a "more competitive matchup" between Philly and Washington. Yuck. Why not just take it to Miami-Buffalo? Because CBS was broadcasting that game.

Guest Vitamin X Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Don't forget Purple Jesus also went down. For your sins, of course.
Guest Pizza Hut's Game Face Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Griese is hurt, so Rex Grossman is back. Fumbles the snap on his first play. Rex's career in a nutshell, right there. "Hey, come in and try not to fail." *fails*
Richard Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Went 3-5 in my morning picks, with only Green Bay winning comfortably. I might not do much better on the current games.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
NoCalMike Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Redskins continue their sloppy-ass second half play, and lose ANOTHER 4th-quarter lead. This team is better across the board then the 2006 squad, but they are showing that they are still not ready to compete with the big boys. A Playoff contender does not do these types of things over and over and over again. At least this is coming in a season where the NFC representative is surely to lose in the Superbowl.
Dobbs 3K Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Yeesh...Chicago/Oakland is tied 3-3 with the 3rd quarter basically done.
Hawk 34 Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Watching this Ravens team play football is quite the arduous task. Edit: Graham looks as if he'll tie/break the FG record that Titans guy set just a few weeks ago. Edit 2: I hate to echo Marvin here, but Baltimore really should pull the plug on McNair now. Just miserable.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 CHICAGO SCORES A TOUCHDOWN HOLY FUCK!
Guest Pizza Hut's Game Face Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Great, now we'll never get rid of him.
