Giants (7.5) (3.5) New Orleans @ Carolina Oakland @ Kansas City (5.5) (3.5) Seattle @ St. Louis (1.5) Tennessee @ Cincinnati Washington @ Tampa Bay (3.5) San Francisco @ Arizona (10.5) Baltimore @ San Diego (9.5) Philadelphia @ New England (22.5) Miami @ Pittsburgh (15.5) Steelers - 35 points. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2007 I didn't know whether just to edit the previous post or just finish off my picks here. I will go back if requested and fix up my earlier post. I think it would be best if people just made a new post -- there's a chance I may miss them if they edit in the rest of their picks in the first post. Either way, just do whatever is easiest for you. And for those asking for "mercy," let's take a trip back in the time machine to 12/6/06. In the four years I've been doing this, I don't think I've come across a weekend where there are so many matchups that could go a long way to determining division winners. With that being said, I have a referendum to put to vote. QUESTION: For non-Sunday games where multiple NFL games are being played (Thanksgiving Day, for example), should there be one deadline for all games on that day, or should each game get its own deadline? For example, On Thanksgiving Day, Gert T submitted his Turkey Day picks late (about an hour after the first game of the day begain, if memory serves). With the rules as they are, Gert missed out on all three games for that day. With approval of this proposed rule, Gert would have missed the first game of the day, but because he got his picks before the other two games that day he would have had those two other selections count. This rule would not be applied to Sunday games, but rather instances where multiple games take place on a non-Sunday. This rule will also apply to all postseason match-ups. If someone misses the first wild card game of the weekend, he could still pick on the other three games if he gets them in on time. Vote on whether or not you want to allow this exemption. A "yes" vote means this rule will be adopted for next year. A "no" means the status quo. If you don't vote then I don't count it as a "yes" or "no". If the votes are cast and the result is a tie, the staus quo will remain. If you want to vote, let me know with this week's picks. And if you don't want this rule to apply to the postseason, or if you want this to just apply to the postseason, voice your opinion on this aspect, too, and if there's enough interest one way or another I'll put it to a run-off. VOTE TOTALS: YES: Harley Quinn, Starvenger, Canadian Guitarist, Spaceman Spiff, Always Pissed Off NO: King of the 909, Lightning Flik, Hawk34, Kahran, KingPK, Porter, Danville, Bravesfan, Fazzle, Cena's Writer, Cuban Linx, Smues, Canadian Chris, SFA Jack, Hawk34

Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted November 25, 2007 Usually I try to pick against Green Bay because I'm afraid of being biased for my own team, but this is not the year to do it. I'm doing terrible this year, pretty disappointing. But then again, in this contest, it's all about who can sneak into the playoffs since that's pretty much all a total crapshoot. I remember having either the best or second best record a couple years ago and then lost right away in the playoffs.
CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted November 26, 2007 I said it in the game thread, I'll say it here... Tell Gus Frerotte to fuck Gus Frerotte. In addition to being my buddy's cousin, he did better than my tiebreaker pick (19, when I said 18), so he's got a little of my forgiveness. Too bad it didn't fucking matter. I have to go to work tomorrow (stupid Pro Line), and the wheels continue to come off here. Christ's sake.
