Xavier Cromartie 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 I'll make my glorious return to deathpoolin', but I'm picking only wrestlers who are younger than 60. I already won with the standard 'on-base percentage' tactic (2006), and so I'm going for all home runs this time, just for fun. 1. Don Muraco, age 58–59 2. Kamala, age 57–58 3. Jake Roberts, age 52–53 4. Leon White (Vader), age 50–51 5. King Kong Bundy, age 50–51 6. Mike Shaw (Bastion Booger), age 50–51 7. Lex Luger, age 49–50 8. Scott Hall, age 49–50 9. George Gray (Akeem the African Dream), age 47–48 10. Del Wilkes (The Patriot), age 46–47 11. Marty Jannetty, age 45–46 12. Scott Steiner, age 45–46 13. The Warlord, age 45–46 14. Tony Halme (Ludvig Borga), age 44–45 — best bet 15. Sabu, age 43–44 16. Konnan, age 43–44 17. Giant González, age 41–42 18. P.N. News, age 38–39 19. Juventud Guerrera, age 33–34 20. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 Id like to take the time now that entries are officially over to note that not one of my 20 was picked by anyone else so I get 25 points for each if they kick the bucket. And my best bet was diagnosed with terminal cancer back in August and given 6 months to live..and he's only 40-something. Thats what..an easy 190 {(10+50+25)x 2} points right there to start off.. Mikey Dread was originally my best bet as hes only 50 and has a really nasty brain tumor. Julia Carson also has terminal cancer but she was too old to be worth much points. CanadianChris 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 I'd like to take the time to note that 14 people were completely shut out last year. Could someone pin this thread and unpin last year's?
spman 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 Now that it's too late for new entries as well, in hindsight after I poster my picks, it occurred to be that Charles Manson as a Best Bet would have been a great choice. Wasn't he supposedly on his death bed with some sort of kidney disease?
tominator89 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 I should have added Arthur C. Clarke to my list. Oh well. EDIT: He didn't die yet, but he probably will shortly.

CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2008 I'd like to take the time to note that 14 people were completely shut out last year. Could someone pin this thread and unpin last year's? Including me. My team is almost the same as last year's. Did I send you a drunken private message about Errie Ball? He's gotta be getting close. Jake Roberts, even though he's wrestling's Keith Richards, just has to die one of these days as well. I know I completely contradicted myself, but come on. MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2008 I doubt anyone has him but we have our first "celebrity" death of 08 George MacDonald Fraser (writer) -- Dead. Cancer. Died January 2, 2008. Among his highlights he wrote the screenplay for the James Bond film Octopussy. Oh, and I wish I had noticed this..the Korean Boxer Yo-Sam Choi, he collapsed during a fight on Christmas Day (after winning the WBC Flyweight Title) but wasn't pronounced legally dead until the 2nd. He was only 35 AND it was "technically" an accident..damn.
