All I know is Vince died, but not really, Chris Benoit murdered his entire family because he had to go to ECW, most of the roster was implicated in steroid distribution rings but it's okay because wrestling is just entertainment and there was a 15th anniversary show months before the actual anniversary that featured such illuminaries as the Goon, Knuckleball Schwartz and Skinner, but not the Rock. Even Khali had some decent matches with Cena) Most Improved Wrestler: MVP (He was pretty bad on the indies and then he comes to the WWE and has solid matches every week) Most Underachieving Wrestler: Ken Kennedy Best Tag Team: Cade & Murdoch Worst Tag Team: Duece & Domino Best Heel: Santino or Orton Best Face: Matt or Jeff Hardy Best Diva: Mickie James Worst Diva: Ashley Match of the Year: Cena/Michaels Raw Marathon Match followed by Cena/Umaga Rumble Worst Match of the Year: Well, Fake Donald/Rosie was horrible but since I don't consider it an actual match, I'll pick something else. Either Kelly/Layla from ECW a few weeks ago or Kennedy/Carlito on the Raw before Summerslam that was 15 minutes of the dullest wrestling I've seen in a long time. Quote of the Year: First time Santino said open up a can of da ass a whip Best Comeback: Probably Jericho, but it's still too early. Last year was the year of the great comebacks with Finlay, Sabu, Jeff Hardy, and so on. This year didn't really have any great comebacks. Mark out moment of the year: Punk winning the ECW title was still pretty awesome despite being taped days in advanced. Funniest moment of the year: Maybe the Teddy Long/Krystal wedding on Smackdown. I can't really think of much Best brand: To count the overall year, I'd honestly say Raw. The first 5 months were really good and then they had a dull stretch after the Benoit stuff, and started getting solid again around October. Worst brand: I'll say ECW. The show was pretty brutal until after the draft with the dull McMahon/Lashley feud taking up a lot of the show. The Show from July to October was probably the best constant wrestling show on television, but lately it's kind of dropped off again. Best PPV: Backlash Worst PPV: No Way Out or Vengeance Best Feud: I thought it was Cena/Orton until it got cut short due to Cena's injury. Kristianna 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2007 Wrestler of the year I like Jeff Hardy for this one. The guy's star is on the rise, and he's always entertaining. He gets bigger pops than just about anyone else on the roster, and he absolutely wrecks himself to put the match over. Worst wrestler of the year The Great Khali. I know he's huge and that's limiting. But he's absolutely boring to watch, and he really can't do anything but clothelines, big boots and chops. Most Improved Wrestler MVP. Most definitely. The guy has grown in leaps and bounds. I really think his feud with Benoit helped with that, and it definitely shows. Most Underachieving Wrestler Kennedy. Wow, what the hell happened with this guy? I guess the 'roid scandal is a big weight to carry, for now. Best Tag Team Do tag teams even exist anymore? Its really hard to tell at this point, but I'll go with The Hardys. Worst Tag Team Matt Hardy & MVP. I'm really glad that shit is over, because their "rival team-mates" tandem was even worse than Michaels and Cena. Best Heel Edge. The shit he's pulled at the last two PPVs has solidified that position for the near future. Plus, what greater heel move is there than to subject us to his romance with Vickie Guerrero. I submit, that there is none worse. Best Face Jeff Hardy, for reasons stated above. Best Diva Mickie James, my girl. I hated to see her lose at Armageddon, but its not like I didn't see it coming. She's got great skills, she's beautiful, and her psycho-lesbian alter-ego from years past was awesome. I like her kiss of the death gimmick too, right before delivering the finisher. Worst Diva Kristal, but who cares because she's gone anyway. Match of the Year Hardy Boys vs. WGTT Tag Team Ladder Match at One Night Stand. I know no-one will agree with me. Oh well. Worst Match of the Year Cena's match with Great Khali. KHALI TAPS BAH GAWD!!! I like Cena... hell I might be one of the few people on the board who does. But that match stunk to high-hell. Quote of the Year I was really drunk when I was watching, so I can't quote directly... but Kennedy's "worked-shoot" style promo on HBK a few weeks ago was awesome. Best Comeback Edge. He's made a huge impact, for better or worse, and I'm actually glad to have him around again. I just wish he'd give up on his lame running hug "spear" and go back to using a different finisher. Mark out moment of the year CM Punk's title victory over Morrison. It was satisfying to finally see Punk win after all the attempts. Plus, it meant less screen-time for Johnny "Don't Call Me Nitro" Morrison. That gimmick fucking sucks. I had enough of that shit with all the stoner poets back in college. Funniest moment of the year My personal favorite funny moment was the return of Gillberg, even if it was for only one night. Best brand I guess its RAW honestly. Worst brand I think RAW is also the worst brand at the same time. Best PPV Wrestlemania, of course. Cena vs. Michaels was great, as was Taker vs. Batista. Worst PPV Great American Bash has a history of disappointment. The streak continues. Best Feud Cena & Michaels. Worst Feud ANYONE vs. Hornswoggle. Cut that shit out, Vince. Worst Moment of the Year What are ya fuckin' kidding? Finding out that Chris Benoit, one of my favorite wrestlers of all time was a family annihilating monster douchebag wasn't so hot, lemme tell ya. Has the main event scene been up to par, and has the midcard been entertaining/good? If you don't want to answer, that's fine. It wasn't 2002 bad but it wasn't special. Ultimately, this year will be forgetable other then Benoit and the sterioid busts, with possible exception to the fact this was the year Punk and MVP broke out and down the road might be the start of two future stars for this company. Worst wrestler of the year: They have plenty of weak wrestlers, but I think all the big guys that are bad work their strengths enough to get by. Carlito is probably the one that wastes his talent the most. Most Improved Wrestler: John Cena and Randy Orton both had good years. Most Underachieving Wrestler: Kennedy and Carlito both dropped their stock. Best Tag Team: MVP/Hardy or Hardys Worst Tag Team: Cryme Time Best Heel: Edge or Orton Best Face: HBK Best Diva: Melina Worst Diva: Torrie Wilson Match of the Year: My favorite has been the Punk vs Morrison ECW TV(punk wins title) Worst Match of the Year: Rosie/Trump Quote of the Year: Me want title match Best Comeback: Y2J has had a pretty good comeback, HBK's surprised me the most with its timing. Not to mention he looks younger with his beard. Mark out moment of the year: I've enjoyed quite a few moments. Funniest moment of the year: Santino Marella, Austin at the Anniversary Show and Summerslam with his general goofiness. Best brand: ECW had a good streak of shows their for awhile with the Stevie/Thorne and Punk/Morrison stuff. Worst brand: SD used to be my favorite, now it's the only brand I don't watch atleast semi-regularly Best PPV/Worst PPV: Judgement Day or Vengeance for worst, One Night Stand, No Mercy, Mania for best.
