Sucked.

- Parade of jobs after being at my prior full time job for close to two years, and part-time at WalMart for four (they took me back without a second thought however).

- The above made it difficult to obtain two of my 2007 goals: get out of debt, and get better at golf.

- A barrage of family problems with my brother and his son that would make Jerry Springer blush.

That's basically it, outside of the Benoit thing, which I'm not losing sleep over, but still am in shock by.

I got completely out of debt (except for my mortgage), went on two terrific vacations and lost about 35 pounds. I'd say it was a pretty good year.

The only real black mark on 2007 was the arrival in November of a bunch of idiot girls in the apartment above ours, who proceeded to blast us out of house and home with their loud stereo, loud arguments and pretty much loud everything at all hours of the day and night. It looks like they're being evicted within days, though.

I feel your pain on that. The apartment I lived in prior to my current place had a couple who argued daily. It was funny the first few days, but every day? It wasn't entertaining after that.

I performed way below my expectations at work. With my pay being 100% commission, that really fucking sucked. At one point this year, I went 16 weeks without a paycheck. I picked it up mid-year and started rolling out some good sales numbers. Hopefully, 2007 will be much better on that front.

I only had sex 5 times and got one hand job. On the plus side, it was with 5 different girls.

Graduated from Uni which was pretty good.

Got a job at the NHS which was alright

Joined a video production team which was awesome.

Got fired from the job at the NHS which was not good.

Got a job at a supermarket on the night shift. Which sucks.

Lost two potential girlfriends in the space of a couple of days and pissed off my best friends fiancee in the process who now has no trust in me anymore.

So with the exception of the film company it's been a particually shit year.

Fucking sucked. I don't really have specific reasons, but it felt bad on the whole. Good movies came out though, that's about all the good I can say for it.

As the clock was ticking down on 2007, I was heard to say "Good riddance.", and was met with much agreement. 2004 was the last year I'd really call a good year. 2008 is actually looking good so far though. Maybe they come every 4 years, like the olympics or elections.

Completely agree (aside from having specific reasons, too many to list here). Except I somehow managed to only catch the good movies on downloads or HBO, and ended up seeing nothing but bull-shit in the theaters. Goddamn Hannibal Rising.

My 2007 was pretty great. I was able to finally move out, had a easy job that I got paid a lot for, and I did a whole hell of a lot pro wrestling wise.

2007 had it lows to though. I had a lot of money troubles and got I got laid off a few days before my birthday, making my money problems even worse.

Other than the money stuff, 2007 was a great year.

it IS a leap year, maybe that's it.

2007 was good in that I worked my first full year as a software developer. I can't think of really anything else though, so call it a wash?

I made some resolutions for 2008 a few hours before the new year.

Find a girlfriend

Break my dry spell

Move out

Some of these have already been taken care of. 2008 looks good.

Decent. My video production biz is kind of on hold for the moment, after some negotiations broke down in the summer but then my girlfriend moved in around September or so, which was pretty nice. Played well in my rookie season in rugby. Drank a lot, made some friends. I don't think I did anything in 2007 that I outright regret or anything, but for the most part, it just felt like any other year.

07 was passable I guess. Im still at the same job, still havent gone back to school, still dont have a drivers liscense, still live at home, so I guess 07 was another holding pattern year.

On the bright side, no relatives died.

Highlight of my year was going to the Six Flags in Jersey and riding El Toro.

Oddly enough, the list of things that beat out would probably be #1 for most people..

THAT was #1 in the first year you had a girlfriend? To each his own, I guess...

I became more social and gained more friends in 2007... and they're all gone. All of the friends I made were people that ended their schooling in April, we hung out a lot, then they went back to school in September and graduated in December and moved away. That sucked.

I got a promotion to one of the top spots at my non-Head Office level at work and ended up on steady days after working afternoons for 17 months... and it sucks. It pays more and very often can result in days where I mull about on the internet while my chronies work their ass off, but it's a management job which means there's a bunch of politics AND causes undue stress I can do without. It was only supposed to be an interim promotion while someone was on maternity leave but I got switched work sites and it became permenant, but since they owe me a favour for even taking the job, I'm beginning to think after a few more months of making more money, I'll gladly walk away from the position and cash in my favour to go back to the closer work site for less pay. I'll probably actively search out a different job at that point too.

I probably got more life experience in 2007 (between new friends and new work assignments) though, so thumbs in the middle.

Oh, and of course I won the "Mediocre / Unknown Poster" bracket of the Poster of the Year tournament in March and people seem to actually know who I am now. I even got called "sneaky funny" be Czech. A banner TSM year for me, at any rate.

Yeah, but that means you'll be in a tougher bracket this year. I'm hoping to be in the Mediocre/Unknown bracket yet again and hopefully be a little higher than 14th seed.

We're not doing that format this year. Just random seeding.

good: marriage, made new friends, did a better job at teaching, put in good work on Kentucky elections (and won), ran second best 5K time ever, got a pretty awesome place to live

bad: working in a job I'm not crazy about

Seems good overall.

2007: Okay I guess.

Positives:

Moved Out

Engaged with my girlfriend.

In A Company with room to grow and good pay.

Improved my putting.

Negatives:

Being three provinces away from home and civilization.

Still in debt.

My short game went down the shitter.

Random all the way, or just not distinguishing one bracket from the next?

Good question. How abooouuuuut we just do four regions again, but with no specific themes. That'll work, sure.
