I'm reading the newest issue of Rolling Stone (with "The Hills" girls on the cover - what has this rag come to?), and there's an article about a high-end escort service in L.A. operated by a woman named "Nici" that setup women like Maxim and FHM models, porn stars, and Playboy Playmates with rich clients who would pay up to $25,000 a night. Of course, she was busted by the FBI, and the Rolling Stone article lists the names of several of Nici's escorts, one of whom is WWE Diva Ashley Massaro. It's an interesting article and worth seeking out. Mike Johnson had a chance to check out the issue, and Ashley is indeed mentioned, with a photo, as a WWE star and Playboy cover girl who was amongst a number of Los Angeles based women attached to the escort service. We should point out that there was no implication that she ever had sex for money, just that she was among the celebrity-type women the service took a fee for in return for setting up meetings with their clientele.

Didn't she do it before she was contracted to the WWE? Ashley doing on this on the side despite her WWE contract though, surely WWE are entitled to enquire and possibly fire her over this. I know you can never deny anyone an opportunity to work, but for Ashley to bank her WWE fame to be an escort seems very sleazy, and, I guess, without the WWE's knowledge could lead to her being fired. Especially with WWE wanting to aim at kids again, this isn't going to look good, not that I can see it being made very public. However, what has Ashley got left to offer? What has she ever offered? I mean I know she could potentially appeal to all the skater emo boys out there, but really, I doubt they'd watch WWE just for her.

I don't think Candice ever did porn...I know she did some softcore stuff, but not actual porn. Mickie James did some stuff that was probably closer to porn (those photo shoots everyone has seen on the internet). Really wouldn't mind seeing Ashley fired. She sucks in the ring and looks completely awkward and weird, regardless.

The fed likely knew about Mickie's off-color past and certainly knew about Candice's filmography before hiring the women. Ashley being associated with this "escort" business (if true) could be another matter entirely. We'll see.

While it's possible they could've made a mistake, if they said it's WWE Ashley, odds are it is indeed her. $250,000 sounds like a hell of a lot of money. But keep in mind that the WWE employees pretty much pay all their own expenses. Gotta pay for a hotel room every night. Gotta pay for a rental car every day. Gotta pay a LOT for your own medical insurance. Gotta be peer pressured into going out eating and drinking with your fellow employees after the show. Gotta get raped on income tax because you're in the highest bracket and officially listed as self-employed. Whatever a wrestler's paycheck is, consider their actual take-home money to be half that. Furthermore, some people are just greedy, and will always grab for an extra dollar. Why did the Enron folks lie and steal when they were already millionares?

It is quite likely that the FBI would just use the name Ashley Massaro, and the Rolling Stones author jumped to a conclusion. Two things jump out at me. 1. Wrestling fans are fairly obsessive. Why didn't we hear about this before? 2. Wrestling is a touring gig. It would be very difficult for Ashley to carry a dual career as female wrestler and escort.
