I seriously thought about Walton over Reed but wanted more of a rebounder/defender to compliment Bird, and Kidd would have likely been my next pick if he was still on the board. I said I was going to bed hours ago, but I seriously am now, damned insomnia. If VX makes his next pick I'll try and get mine in tommorow morning/early afternoon.

After much deliberation, mainly consisting of how well my last pick and this one would play together, I've made my decision. I thought, hey, the Showtime Lakers played well with a big man who couldn't run the court very well at the latter stages of his career, so I could get away with picking a guy who wasn't the best at getting up and down the floor. I'm still here McHale is a great pick, I thought about him too, but I didn't want to do the Bird-McHale thing, no fun in that anyway This might be a 'controversial' pick. I'd love to hear some y'alls on it. This guy was one of the 5 best players in the league in his time, incredible all around player, bonafide superstar, hall of fame bound, could do just about anything on the court until injuries cut his career short. There's a lot more conventional picks on the board, bigger names, bigger scorers, including a few of his contemporaries, but for the type of team I'm building he's exactly the player I want. I've got Bird at the 3, so Hill is slotting at the 2 as a point-forward type

KAJ for the inside/post moves, Reggie for the outside/perimeter shots, and Dominique who could take it inside or shoot, hell he was a great 2 guard as well, if a bit big for that role.

I think this is shaping up nicely. Hayes provides a good second scoring option to Wilt, and plays amazing defence.

This was kind of iffy for me at first, but I believe Russell is enough of a team leader that he'd be able to keep Iverson's perceived attitude problems in check, plus having Iverson now gives me an inside-outside scoring threat with Pettit and also gives me one of the top offensive and defensive players (Russell) in league history. Iverson is a competent defender in his own right, so this also gives me a great balance on both ends of the floor. Although his shooting percentage is unremarkable, he does have the advantage of having two of the greatest rebounders in history on his squad, so if he misses there is at least a decent chance someone will get the offensive board. His ability to play both guard positions allows me the opportunity to either keep him at shooting guard, or move him to the point, depending on who is available by the time my next pick comes around. That makes three picks and three MVP's, with eight awards total between the three of them!

Lebron, K-Malone, and Rick Barry are all proven ballhogs/egotrips/famously difficult to get along with. Well maybe not so much `Bron, but the other two definitely. Lots of talent, but as a team together? Yikes. I think I've got a hell of an injury prone team, though, so that's my downfall thus far.

And he was no worse than Michael Jordan who punched teammates in practice. I never saw Karl Malone as being detrimental to his team. Other teams might have hated him cause he threw elbows and played a little dirty, but he was a team player in Utah.
