Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 I didn't expect this thread to blow up like it did, though I originally envisioned it being a dumping ground for everyone's '90s playlists and not a retread of the other '90s-related YouTube thread. Most of the obvious choices have long since been recognized, so here are a few off the top of my head: - Lisa Loeb: I Do - Jimmy Ray: Are You Jimmy Ray - Goo Goo Dolls: Name - Counting Crows: Mr. Jones - Matchbox 20: Push - Better Than Ezra: Good - Orgy: Blue Monday - Beastie Boys: So Whatcha Want? - White Town: Your Woman I think the next phase of this thread should be us putting together some compilations where the songs in each mix have some vague tie. This will ensure that Nirvana and Lisa Loeb don't wind up in the same compilation.

PILLS! PILLS! PILLS! 0 Report post Posted May 19, 2008 Time for me to litter with thread with a string of forgotten urban gems: Doug E. Fresh's best contribution to the nineties: The ghetto jam is about to slam: TLC during their obnoxious clothing era. I'd still hit it. But we are against those thugs: This is for my homey: I want a girl with extensions in her hair. Bamboo earing, at least two pair... But I am still thirsty:

Bruiser Chong 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2008 It's ok, Czech. Best laid plans and all that. I'm glad someone recognized Jimmy Ray, by the way. I was reminded of his existence while going through a box in storage that contained a lot of CD singles, one of them being the aforementioned "Are You Jimmy Ray?" You see, I went through a snap for about three or four years where I would only buy CD singles and not the full albums. Not the most efficient usage of money, but it saved me from owning an entire ALBUM full of Jimmy Ray songs. And now that I mention that box of singles, has anyone mentioned Luscious Jackson's "Naked Eye"?
