Updated card....

Anderson Silva vs. James Irvin

Brandon Vera vs. Reese Andy

Frankie Edgar vs. Hermes Franca

Jake O'Brien vs. Cain Velasquez

Kevin Burns vs. Anthony Johnson

Brad Blackburn vs. James Giboo

Nate Loughran vs. Johnny Rees

Shannon Gugherty vs. Dale Hartt

Aside from Silva, Franca/Edgar and Cain hopefully murdering JOB there's absolutely nothing to this card and the more no-name fighters they put on it the more it'll reak of desperation.

Yeah, this card sucks. I was thinking about actually buying Affliction, which would make it the first PPV I've bought since Pride NYE 2004. It's not the greatest card ever, but it blows this one away. With that said, I'll still probably DVR it and watch it later.

I'll be buying the Affliction show for sure, mainly because I can watch the undercard for free on TFN and then head right into the show. Plus, any show with Matt Lindland on it gets my money*.

Add Rory Markham vs Brodie Farber at 170 lbs. to the UFN card.

Yeah, this card sucks. UFN 14: IFL Exodus.

I don't even know if the IFL is where they'd go. From what I understand it's sinking pretty fast. I could probably buy that company right now.

Just saw that some local group is doing MMA in Wilmington next month. I was thinking about going, but then I saw the ticket prices. $25 for bleachers, $50 floor, and $100 ringside. Isn't that, like, REALLY fucking expensive for some no-name MMA action?

Although, on the other hand, there are *17* fucking fights scheduled, so...yeah. That's gonna be one LONG night of fighting. Just out of curiosity, have any of the bigger-MMA fans on here heard of *any* of these guys that are gonna be fighting?

Byron Bloodworth vs. Kyle Grommet

Scott Kingston vs. Chris Cain

Grant Harris vs. Luke Wilson

Tomar Washington vs. Brandon Walker

Jon Cornett vs. Dennis Clifton

Shawn Robertson vs. David Felton

Chris Sutton vs. Adam O'Malley

Eddie McPhatter vs. Justin McKnight

Will Estes vs Eric Martindale

Jesse Collins vs. Chev Lamoya

Mike Marshall vs. Stefan Williams

Michael Velotta vs. Marcus Thomas

Adam Jetton vs. Mike Israel

and in the 4 matches being called the main events:

Justin Ham vs. Will Hagerty

Loyd Baldwin vs Matt Tiara

Jon Owens vs. Greg Lajoye

Jake Whitfield vs. Tim Mannon

Edit: Seriously, that's a lot of fucking fights. This thing is supposed to start at 7:30. When's it gonna end? 2 AM? 3?

No love for Franca/Edgar?

It's probably not going to be 5 five-minute rounds. I went to a kickboxing show last night that had *20* fights at 3 two-minute rounds. Started at about 7:30 and ended at 11ish. Bleacher tickets were *$40*, but I went cause my cousin and his team were fighting. But it was well worth it to see some funny knockouts.

Well, at least this card proves that Dana isn't out to get IFL fighters, but obviously these aren't the top dogs.

We need to see Horodecki and Heiron in the mix but at least it looks like Heiron will be. Roy Nelson = comeback fight for Mark Coleman.

Considering who's fighting in the UFC, Herion belongs... GSP kicked alot of peoples asses, that doesn't mean they should go to the WEC.

But I must say, if they ever have another "Ulimate Fighter: Comeback", I'd like to see Herion involved.

Match canceled tonight due to drug test failure PDF Print E-mail

By Dave Meltzer

Tonight's Tim Credeur vs. Cale Yarbrough match was canceled when Credeur failed a pre-fight drug test for Adderall, a drug banned for usage by fighters by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

How much is the Affliction show on PPV? I don't normally like carrying two PPVs in one month but I am kind of tempted to get the Affliction show if it is not as expensive as a UFC show.

Same as UFC, possibly more.

Ivan Salaverry retired today. I expect we'll see the names "Horn" and "Tanner" on that list before long too. The vets are getting fazed out.

Yeah I totally overlooked the fact that Hooters shows UFC PPVs there and they might even show the Affliction show too, so looks like I will be able to get around the "2 PPV shows in one month" thing......Cool.

The Salaverry news is not unexpected. Goldberg and Rogan actually said that he had a great career after the Palhares fight so I think this was known for a bit.

Affliction is $39.95. $5 cheaper than a UFC. I personally feel that it's worth it, though. And that will be the first PPV for me after my "hiatus".

Speaking of which, I have been rewatching PRIDE DVDs while I eat my meals due to my lack of cable and I just thought I'd throw this out there... Mauro Ranello: worst play-by-play man of all-time?

I'd have said yes for certain until Kenny Rice came along and now I'm not sure. Mauro's only crime is sucking at his job and making horrible puns, but Kenny Rice just oozes slime to me and comes across as a total creep and failure at life. I'm leaning towards Kenny. But Mauro...my god. "Ryo Chonan has a new tattoo signifying the god of thunder but he just got dropped by the lord of the lightning." Lord of the lightning = Dan Henderson. Give me a break.
