Youth N Asia Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Links! I loves me some bacon, but I need to be in a bacon mood
King Kamala Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Sausage. Though I imagine this decision had a lot to do with the fact that most bacon I've had in the past few years has been turkey bacon. I love regular bacon and turkey bacon is an acceptable substitute on occasion but damn my dad for finding a way to include it in every meal I have at home.
Nighthawk Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Sausage is one of my favorite foods. Bacon is not. Nothing wrong with it... but it doesn't have that edge.
Maztinho Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Interestingly enough, this was next on my check list. Sausage my friends... saw-sauge.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Fuck you faggots. Bacon is the best food. Smoky cured pig flesh. Oh so good. And the fat so versatile.
Mr. S£im Citrus Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Bacon; you can put bacon on anything.
Maztinho Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 I will say that my vote comes after a long stretch of poorly cooked bacon, and that Bacon Wrapped Turkey at a Brazilian Churrasco is like DIVINE! I just like the versatility that sausage brings me, it can go from spicy to beefy, and you can toss out different meats with the sausages. I have a weird affinity for Turkey Italian Sausage.
Nighthawk Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Bacon; you can put bacon on anything. Instead of chewing gum, chew bacon! But I have long been a proponent of putting bacon on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Learned that from The King.
Dr. Zoidberg Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 But I have long been a proponent of putting bacon on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Learned that from The King. And he died of a heart attack on his toilet. You want that to happen?! Do ya?!
Nighthawk Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Hey, I don't put a pound of it on an entire loaf of French bread like he did.
fazzle Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 The OP says it's a breakfast fight, so with that in mind, I've gotta go sausage. If we're talking all day though? Bacon wins hands down.
CanadianChris Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 Depends on what I'm having it with. With pancakes, sausages win. Pretty much anything else, it's bacon. Sausages with syrup...mmmmmmmmmmmmmfghkjgjklhseghhjksdfkvjdh.
Copper Feel Posted June 15, 2008 Report Posted June 15, 2008 I really don't like bacon, whereas sausage is absolutely divine.
CanadianGuitarist Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Bacon > Sausage patties. I have to be in a mood for breakfast sausage, and even then, it's third. Italian sausage (even turkey, for which I've recently found an affinity as well) is a wrench in the machine of this post, though.
Guest Tzar Lysergic Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 I really don't like bacon. Choke yourself
Spaceman Spiff Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 This is too close to call, so much so that I order sides of both when I go out for breakfast.
Frosty Posted June 16, 2008 Report Posted June 16, 2008 Bacon hands down..... Breakfast fight or not.
Guest Vitamin X Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 I'm a bit weird I guess, but sausages win out for breakfast and bacon wins out for just about any other time. Some good sausage links with eggs is a fantastic breakfast, whereas bacon takes a lot for me to get filled up on. Bacon, however, is great for putting on sandwiches and whatnot later on in the day, and as Agent mentioned, the fat is oh so versatile. I hate those tiny little maple cooked links, though, bacon beats that shit every time. When I'm talking about sausage links, I'm talking a huge delicious fucking thing, the kind you can make later on in the day with onions, bell peppers, and swiss cheese, and that tastes like juicy, greasy heaven. If it's not that kind of sausage, then yeah bacon wins.
MFer Posted June 18, 2008 Report Posted June 18, 2008 Tough call...I've always opted for bacon, but lately I've been going more towards sausage. I'll still roll with bacon though.
