    worst angles ever

Another one...The Rock/Hogan alliance from last year...you know...where Rock respects Hulk because he's still a Hulkamaniac even though Hogan tried to kill him less than a month earlier. Had they just ignored the ambulance incident, it would've been ALMOST believable, but the next week, during a match between Rock and Nash, Michael Cole says "Rock hasn't forgotten how the Outsiders tried to kill him a month ago". Just stupid.

    worst angles ever

The most pointless angle I've ever seen was the Undertaker/Austin/Sara car accident angle from May 2001. I think it began on the Raw before Judgment Day, where Taker gets a phone call that Sara's been in a car accident and leaves to be with her. It turns out that it was just some kinda prank phone call just to get under Taker's skin, so they devote that week's Smackdown to finding out who made the call. Taker thinks it was Austin, but he denies it at the beginning of the show...and I *think* he said it was HHH's idea (it's been a while since I've actually watched this bullshit, so some of this might be wrong), and they go the entire show passing blame from person to person until the end, where Austin comes up on screen and said he was behind the phone call all along. Just a waste of 2 hours and did absolutely nothing to put heat on the PPV match. Other angles that pissed me off/annoyed me in some way: The "Who ran over Stone Cold?" angle sucked from beginning to end...everything involving the McMahon-Helmsley "Fact-gime"...Katie Vick, obviously...The Edge/Booker SHAMPOO feud...the HHH/Steph/Jericho angle involving Lucy (although they could've saved it if Jericho had put the Walls on the damn dog after it got run over...that woulda been classic )...the "Who threw Shawn through the windshield" angle leading up to Summerslam last year...they already had a good enough reason to fight without going through that bullshit, and you had to love HBK's miraculous healing before SummerSlam...Tazz Vs Jerry Lawler...not necessarily a bad angle, but I hated it because it killed all of Tazz's heat. Probably more.

    Wrestling's biggest FLUCK UPS1

Kane slipping off the ropes at Summerslam had me dying for a minute. The ladder match between Jeff Hardy and RVD at SummerSlam 01 where Jeff is hanging from the belts and RVD tries to kick him off, misses and flies halfway across the ring. Bobby Heenan on an episode of Worldwide in 95: "If he's not careful, Buck is gonna break this ham and legger's eggs" Yamaguchi-san's promo on Val Venis from July/August 98...not the exact words, but it was something like this: "VAL VENIS...VAL VENIS...YOU...ARE NOT...HALF A MAN...YAMAGUCHI-SAN IS!!! And there will be no more...HELLO BABIES...LADIES!...I am gonna...ATTACK YOU!" The promo was horrible but the way he said it and his facial expressions were funny as hell.

    What would be...

I think about this a little too much. Just off the top of my head: "Between Angels and Insects" by Papa Roach (one of the guys from my e-fed got me on that...it would make a DAMN GOOD wrestling song) "The Way You Like It" by Adema "The Rush" by Talib Kweli "If" by Janet Jackson or "All I want is you" by 112 (I could see a female using either song) "H.O.V.A." by Jay-Z (only for the beat) "Black Diamond" by Kiss. I've got a lot more, but I'll leave it at that.

    What is your battle cry?

Sprinting on the tarmac, wielding gilded boxing gloves, cometh Papacita! And he gives a spectacular grunt: "I'm going to punch you until the laws of physics are violated!" Can't go wrong with that.

    Folder Champions

I'd claim the graphics folder if not for this endless streak of laziness/lack of creativity I've been on for the last few months. Anyway... World Wrestling Entertainment: Anglesault or Rudo probably. I'll give Downhome a mention too just for the mustache factor... NWA TNA - Total Non-Stop Action: I NEVER go in there, but BPS is Mr. TNA so... Puroresu: Pass... Misc. Promotions I've been in there maybe 3 times since I've been posting here...I'll just say Rudo for the hell of it. General Wrestling: YNA...maybe. I dunno. Old School: Cawthorn NHB: Banky, CWM, Prince Paul...I hardly check this folder anyway, so I dunno. Current Events: Haven't been there in a minute, but Marney seemed to be holding things down pretty well last I checked. Sports: Eh...Tom? Movies - DVDs - Television: Pass... Videogames & Toys: Hmmm...Lightning Flik. Music: Pass... Comic Books & Literature: Uh...I'll say Zsasz because of his Batman fetish. General Chat: Lately it's been kinda dead, but I'll just say Zack and pray that I get a good discount on some Chyna merchandise. Love, Sex, and Dating: That is an evil, EVIL folder...but I'll say SSD's got that one. And just cuz this is NHB, fuck all y'all bastards!

    Watchin KOTR 95

HEY! Don't dis the blimp! I marked for the damn blimp! Anyway, I went to that KOTR...it was my first WWF PPV and I actually enjoyed the show live. I was a little disappointed that Taker and HBK lost, but besides that, I liked the show. I was a mark for Savio Vega and at the time I bought Mabel as a top heel and legit threat the World Belt, so it was all good. Damn...I miss being a mark.

    Disappointing matches

I didn't know it got a lot of love, but glad it does because I loved the match. Creative use of the ring positioning, excellent psychology, and good flow to it, in my opinion. So I disagree (as inevitably some of us will on these matches). It's not that I thought it was a bad match or anything, but I was seriously caught up in the hype leading up to the show and was expecting a classic and the match itself was nothing special. It just didn't live up to the hype, IMO.

    Unpredictable Main Events...

When was the last time that, based on the booking/storylines leading into the match, you had no clue who would win a WWF/WWE PPV main event? When was the last time you honestly felt that either participant had a good chance of winning the match? I think the last time for me was probably Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart from Survivor Series 97. Just about everything since then has been predictable...for me anyway.

    Disappointing matches

Taker and Austin from SS 98...I never understood the love this match gets from some people. Brock/Angle didn't do much for me either. Damn near any of the Austin/Jericho matches.

    Your First Live Event

Mine was a house show in May 92 at the Spectrum headlined by Ultimate Warrior and Papa Shango. They also had HBK and Bret on the undercard...and I will swear to the day I die that I saw Michaels break that damn Sharpshooter!

    Lance Storm on Raw...

Tonight on Raw, they ran a segment where Goldust sent Lance Storm into the Divas' locker room to hit on one of the women. Now I left the room a couple of times, so I might have missed it, but did anything ever come of that angle...or did they just forget about it???
  22. Papacita

    Lance Storm on Raw...

Yeah, that Linda segment did seem a little long. They could've easily cut out the first part before the commercial and still got the same effect. As for Storm...I had a feeling it was gonna be someone like Mae Young in the room, so it might have been a good thing if they did cut it.

    RVD

I think the Kane/RVD feud will continue in some form after the PPV. I can't see this match at SummerSlam being the blow off...they've been building the thing for way too long. Then again, they generally don't seem to give a damn about Rob, so they'll probably send him at Christian or maybe even Jericho...I dunno.
