Head's up: Mine's gonna be late-ish. Been marking for a while (plus interruptions), and it's a tough decision tonight. Hopefully will have it done within the hour.

Man, it's too bad I can't blame my lateness on drinking... ...yet...

Sorry to Maddix and Sacred and everyone, for not being around to mark - I was supposed to back home on the 4th, but horrendously horrendous plane delays (amounting to about 28 hours) kept me from getting home until midnight last night. Anywho, I finally have some free time. Will check out the show right about... ... ... ... ... NOW~

SWF TUESDAY NIGHT SLAY RIDE CARD!

Who do marked matches and promos go to? -
Most of the time, I steer clear of these kinds of threads. Not because I don't appreciate the comments or effort, and not because I hate you people... I mean, I do hate you people, but that's not why. It's just that, usually by the time I get to these threads, everything I want to say has already been said, seconded, thirded, voted on, approved, recorded, chiseled into stone tablets, memorized by an order of monks as the absolute truth of the universe, then hidden away in ancient tombs, guarded by snake pits. By the time I get to the thread, really the only thing I could contribute is "Er... ditto to the above." Which is essentially what I'm doing here, but let's just ignore that for now. I noticed that the word "classy" has popped up in this thread a few times - I don't think there's a better word out there for you, Mark (I'm not calling you Chris ). Writing with you was always a blast, and the few times I wrote against you were equally fun (and infinitely more intimidating ), and when talking with you over AIM, be it about fed matters or just any old thing, you were always just the nicest, coolest, here we go again - classiest - guy. Except for the baseball smilies, that is. Those I could live without. Rock on in retirement, Mark. You've earned it. EDIT: Five emoticons in this post. FIVE. This is your fault, Mark. I'm not sure how yet, but I'll figure out how to blame this on you.

Breaking Kayfabe, December 14, 2004!
chirs3 replied to Ace309's topic in Smarks Wrestling Federation
I'm glad someome picked up where Mark left off, and I'm even more glad it was you, Tom. Breaking Kayfabe = -
First half was decent. Second half was a total crapfest. Especially that Julia/Bruce scene that just wouldn't fucking end. Huge disappointment.

Oh heck. I just booked something for Friday last night - I may still be able to mark, I'll have to check the times, but I may need to pull out of this one. Shame, too - it looks like a doozy.

So far, the Single Player campaign disappoints me. It's not bad or anything, it's just the first four levels have shown almost no improvement over Halo, and a few scenes that really should've been "Holy crap! That's fucking awesome!" scenes... well... haven't been. Two that immediately jump to mind are the scene where you jump off the bridge into The Scarab to kill its crew and the level where you take a tank across the Covenant-held bridge. I got the impression from previews that these were OMGWTFWWJD AWESOMEZ!!11!!11! kind of scenes, and they really just felt run of the mill. I say almost no improvement... I really like the new Drone enemies - they make fights so much more hectic (in a good way). I also like the new UNSC weapons, especially the SMG. And the story. Only four missions in, so I don't know too much, but at least I can say it's not predictable. It's not exactly going in the direction I'd hoped it was, but still, it's interesting thus far. I'm sure the multi-player is superiffic, but I can't take my X-Box online at the moment.

Vet's Committee, your checks are in the mail. Honestly, I'm just a teensy bit (whole freakin' lot) surprised that I got as many votes as I did - never did I expect I'd outdo the likes of PDS, Wilson, Frost, Silent, and so on. I suppose I could read this as everyone hating PDS, Wilson, Frost, Silent, and so on... but instead, I'll just take the compliment. But seriously guys, thank you. This means a lot to me.

My birthday falls on a day where I have a really really early morning class, a really really late night class, and the friggin' election. *expects some damn good presents to make up for this*

I didn't even know there was a ban on women in combat. Hell yes, lift the ban.

Year-End Nomination Thread: Most Impressive Career

If Flesher doesn't win this... *prepares for a good fist-shaking* -
To hell with you all. I think it just edges out SH1 as the best in the series. Maybe I'm just an easy mark, but it scared the crap out of me. And maybe I just suck in general, but this game is far from easy on Hard mode. The only thing I can find to complain about is the lack of puzzles - everything else is just super.

Of course, some disappointment in losing, but Team Face wrote a helluva match, and did us proud. And Raynor attempting the Demonstar on Edwin? Awesome. Cheers! Notes on the two matches I marked: The ladder match was ridiculously close between Birdman and Dustin. Ridiculously close. Jenkins' match was going strong too, up until the part where everyone blew up and died (), but regardless, that was one of the closest matches I've marked yet. A super-hurrah to all the participants. And for the tag match, I feel a little guilty after finding out the reason for HB's lateness. When I got home and found their match in my inbox, Z had just barely started posting the show, so it was a little too late. I'm sorry guys. But there's always the rematch clause! More comments to come when I finish reading the rest.
-
Don't worry Birdman, your hideously long match made it into my inbox safe and sound. In fact, it took up the last two spots, so if anyone tried to submit and couldn't but thought they did and ends up noshowing, it's all your fault! ~!
-
ATTENTION My inbox was full. But now it's not. So if you've been trying to send a match to me, it's open now. Gotta split. Good luck to all!

Aw man... I was looking forward to this so much... Did anyone here download those sample songs they had? Their version of the Zeal Island theme is incredibly good.

TNT publicly mocking my lack of super editing powers by pretending that I do not lack them = WORST LOCKDOWN EVAR~

I want the two Beyond Good & Evil sequels. It was supposed to be a trilogy, but the first one sold like crap, so there's currently no plans to continue.
