I wish they would have skipped the goofy neighbors. I didn't like any of them and kind of inwardly groaned every time they came on screen. And while the fight with The Russian was pretty good, it was played way to funny and kind of broke me out of the movie. I liked it, but I will probably skip the entire "Dinner with the neighbors" through the Russian on DVD.

Just a few... have to agree with the "Big Red Machine". The Little Machine That Could ('99 Reds) The Nasty Boys (Dibble, Charlton, Myers) The Bash Brothers (McGwire & Canseco) Prime Time (Late 80's Lakers)

Greedo shooting first was a pretty big change. I disagree. In the grand scheme of things, it makes so little difference to the Han character that it is, in my mind, inconsequential. As for the theoretical changes for the DVD... we'll see, I guess. I want to see them before I decide if they were a good idea or not.

The movie ended up just bad... I think having the Yakuza as the bad guys had something to do with that. Just made me think "Oh, they did that to have a ninja in the movie."

Ponch, I'm just working on half-remembered rumors. I would love to have the Clone Wars disc this year. Thus, I'll defer to you on the date...

Ejiro, I am always interested in your opinion... even if I disagree.

TdK, just wanted to let you know that my entire Raw crew was impressed by your reffing a big name like Christopher Daniels. That is awesome and pretty cool that a SWF guy is really working in the business.

Of course, if they hadn't had him on TV last night, everyone would be in here complaining that he wasn't on TV.

The woman Sith's name was Asaaj Ventriss, although it didn't say that anywhere in the series. I liked it, but I didn't like the 5 minute chapters. I would have rather seen a longer chapter and less of them, or maybe just one long "movie". I am looking forward to the DVD release which I believe is sometime next year (around Episode III).

Johnny Bench night - Johnny is being honored as a Red about five games before he retires. Very nice little ceremony before & after the game. But... during the game, Johnny comes up to back and jacks one out. Crowd goes nuts... I'm standing on the couch at home cheering... my mom is crying... Doesn't get better than that for a "moment".

I liked "Hulk" better than "Daredevil", but I enjoyed them both. I thought DD tried to cram too much into one movie. Perhaps it would have been easier to go with a standard "origin - villain fight" formula (see Spider-Man) and save the whole Elektra / Bullseye thing for the sequel. Slightly off topic... I've never understood the love for "The Crow". I guess I never got what was so interesting about an invincible zombie that gets revenge on the bad guys while angsting about his girl. I don't know. I saw it and I thought "Bleh". It was too dark and gothy for my tastes in general and I feel like the whole Brandon Lee thing got it more attention and love than it deserved.

I don't think WWE has anything to do with this flick. I think this is one of the deals that Goldberg worked out on his own pre-WWE.

Just a reminder... Z is the Interim (Storyline) Commissioner only. I am coming back eventually.

Flik... I am sorry to hear that things are not going well in your life. I really, truly am. In that light, I am sorry that my above rant was as harsh as it was. I didn;t want to make anyone feel like it was a "write-or-die" situation. Besides, it takes two people to make a 2x no-show and MVS is as much to blame as you are. Look... don't feel like I want to get rid of anyone. Goodness knows we need everyone that is here to stick around. But I get so damn frustrated sometimes that I can't help but pop off a rant. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, will look down on you becuase you wrote a sub-par match (by their standards or yours) or turned in a three sentence rush job. Nobody does this effortlessly, and that point was driven home to me last weekend when I literally worried myself into insomnia about the small amount of match writing I had to do for my tag with Tom. Believe me when I say I understand the desire to write the best that you can. But if I learned anything from writing matches here, it was that sometimes your best is too good. Sometimes the best thing to do is start writing, write until you are done and worry about misspellings, editing and match flow when you are finished. Because then you have something. I don;t know if I am making any sense here... I guess it all boils down to having fun with this. I think that, in general, the attitude in the Fed has become overly-serious and people are afraid to turn in marginal matches. I'm not sure why this is as big a deal as it is. I hope all of this made sense. Truthfully, I doubt it will make any difference, but I can hope...
-
No. No it isn't. You are telling me that neither guy could spend the four minutes it would have taken to write a two sentence something to show that they give a flying fuck about the show and the Fed in general? This pisses me off and I am tired of being kind about it. In my creer, and I am willing to bet that my schedule was at least as hectic as any of yours, I never had a double no-show. If I no-showed, I made sure my opponent was showing. If he couldn't, I wrote as much as I could so there was something there. Christ! This not only shows a lack of consideration for CC but for the Fed as a whole. I'm not asking for masterworks guys. Just some freaking words...

Allow me to get the Thuggster's back on this one. Overall, Smarks are far too critical of what they are seeing and they try to make you feel like an idiot because you don't agree with them. You want reality? Here are a sampling of things overheard from the people around me on Monday night: "Some guy downstairs told me Razor Ramon was coming back tonight." "I hope The Rock will be here tonight." "I bet the Undertaker shows up to kick Kane's ass." Massive "Shelton! Shelton!" chants. Huge, unbelieveable pops for HBK, Stone Cold, Shelton's win, Jericho and a pretty sizeable pop for Rosey (including a couple of big "Rosey Rosey" chants) Massive heel heat for HHH, Flair, Trish and Orton.
-
Updated to reflect changes in CC and added the schedule through 13th Hour.

I know if they rush the ring, all bets are off because that falls under the wrestlers and assorted personnel defending themselves. However, I think unless they act violetly towards one of the workers they can't do anything if they stay in the crowd short of having them tossed.
-
Consider it lowered further as I have a smaller Babaganoosh sign for everyone going. Including you "Brian Babaganoosh".
-
Now that was a little harsh. I will have a sign. As I am a huge Al Snow mark (no snide comments please) I based my sign on one of his little gimmicks while calling Heat. You see (and I feel the need to explain this since, apparently nobody watches the WWE around here) whenever there is a "jobber" on the show, Al changes their name to something silly. Lately, he has been using the last name "Babaganoosh". Thus, Joey Phoenix last night became "Joey Babaganoosh of the World-Famous Flying Babaganoosh Brothers". Thus mine reads "Chris Babaganoosh of the World-Famous Flying Babaganoosh Brothers" with a big arrow. So now you know...
-
I am guessing that this is no longer a going concern since the league disappeared.
-
Wow.. this certainly got off topic. Nice work... Any chance we could move the drug discussiuon to another thread?
-
Thanks guys... Yeah, I know I'm older than 99% of the guys on the boards, not to mention the Fed, but hanging with you guys keeps me young. So... drink up boys! This is a party!!
-
here's the thing, and this is the last I'll say on this as I think we are both way off track and getting a little cranky... Both of these will work. If the spontaneous stuff didn't, the SWF wouldn;t exost right now. If the planned stuff didn't work, most of the recent angles wouldn't be as good. the only difference I see is that this used to be a far more dynamic place with far more board promos than show promos. I liked that and I'd like to see things go back that way. But, if you don't want to do that... then don't.

PDS is good. PDS is wise.
