  1. All is not lost Czech. You can make your own prick board. Or go to Crono's.
  2. But it's like, me and a couple'a other people. I don't see what makes it such a ginormous problem that everyone's gotta pounce on it when it happens. I'd like to see where creativity (or humor) comes into play when a thread resembles a Yahoo chat room.
  3. Hey, I like the main page's byline. Um, the byline is "The Product Of The First Twenty Years Of The Internet," right?
  4. Yeah, I wouldn't be too upset if Mexico wanted Texas back.
  5. I think he meant to add "in the wild, wacky world of professional wrestling" to the end of his question. Expecting professionalism out of WWE and most other promotions is a quick way to wait for nothing.
  6. Yet another "cultural phenomenon" that doesn't even make a blip on my radar. It's starting to pay more and more to ignore the entertainment industry.
  7. The first couple of seasons had real people and they were all BORING!!! Jon from LA sat on the couch watching tv all day while drinking Kool Aid. Judd from from San Fran whined about how he couldn't get with girls and wished he had the ugly Japanese chick. Real World London was probably the most uneventful season of them all. To say that they glorify drinking is not really true. This season they show that blonde chick getting drunk and she gets all emotional and breaks down. Imagine that, real life is boring! That's why "reality" TV is one of the BIGGEST scams in the history of this planet.
  8. You know, what this place is missing is DerangedHermit.
  9. I have a laugh whenever someone says "their music suits them" and then starts reciting lyrics. Like anyone cares what the words are except for the super iconic themes.
  10. Do they still have drive-thru liquor stores there?
  11. I think it's incredible that we encourage flaming in here, but when someone flames someone else in a way that isn't even prohibited by rule (instead of bigotry or any of that stuff, you tell them they're a miserably bad poster) they're the jerk. Bring all the "I have the sense of humor" righteousness you can muster. That's cool, and it could very well entertain you. It might entertain me also if I had just ingested a zesty mix of pot, booze, and prescription drugs. Since I'm sober 99% of the time, I happen to feel that a lot of these supposedly improved folk who populate this place nowadays are awful. I guess I don't have a sense of humor for not enjoying this folder's brave new crusade to rid the world of stuck-up assholes, which on its own is actually a bizarre sort of mass elitism. In summary, yecch.
  12. Yes, people simply cease being smart west of the Appalachians! That's exactly what it said. Good eye.
  13. I'm starting to think that the idea of talking during a movie hasn't reached Charleston yet. As many threads as we've had about this over the last several years, it still hasn't happened with me yet. Well, not exactly, but the most I ever hear is a couple of whispers over the hour and a half or however long the movie is.
  14. I haven't seen much homocide either.
  15. I like this Rando.
  16. Thank you for saying that, Eric. If you want lesbians, watch porn. Again, this is something we always complain about (the titilating for 12-year-olds sexuality) but now inexplicably encourage mostly, like HHH winning the title again.
  17. Whew, I laughed way too much at that. I should go to bed.
  18. Mama Benjamin is told "okay, go out there and do this stuff." Austin was told "go out there and do your thing." A character scripted to be a one-trick stereotype and one that isn't are very different.
  19. Yeah, arguing the quality and nature of the character is completely missing the point in the first place: Why the fuck was it even created? And about the "what would wrestling do without stereotypes" question, what do other forms of entertainment that don't languish 50 years behind the rest of society do? They, shock of shocks, actually put time and effort into the players in their drama/comedy/whatever. We always bitch about one-dimensional characters in wrestling and wish there was more depth to storylines and their participants, but for some reason this gets a pass?
  20. The wrestlers and their managers are generally lacking in stage training of any kind. What's your point, that they shouldn't be on Raw and Smackdown each week? And using the "just because some guy on the internet says it, it MUST be true!" sarcastic response only comes into play whenever people disagree with it.
  21. Okay, so I shouldn't be shaking my head at all when WWE declined using Shelton's real mother because she was well-spoken and educated. Allrighty then. I really should have noticed who the two people were that thought Mama was an okay character and never responded.
  22. Because these areas that are being democratized are simply not ready for it. Sounds terrible, but it's true.
  23. Islam's a good 600 years behind Christianity, so let's see... what was Christianity up to when it was 1400 years old... hmm... I'm just drawing this huge blank.
  24. You know, when five times as many people respond to the few of us who have a certain approach to this place, it looks like a much bigger problem than it is.
