  1. Haha, that was like showing up to a gun fight with a knife and then stabbing yourself in the face.
  2. NO MORE BEN BURTT ON COMMENTARIES PLZ
  3. It's entertaining if you don't live here, sure.
  4. Which parts of his findings were found to be wrong? I only ask because I'm not up on the details of what got Rove pissed off at him in the first place. I know it was at least partially the rebuff of the claim that Iraq had Uranium from Nigeria or something like that.
  5. So to update, the White House has gone totally mum on the subject (despite speaking about it before, both the President himself and the press secretary during daily press conferences in 2003 and 2004), and the new rallying cry for Rove supporters seems to be "you're just pissed off because you don't like the President." There don't seem to be many of those, though. I've only seen a few instances where someone thinks it's not even something he should be fired over. Even if he were axed, he'd still probably give informal advice to the administration. I personally want to see him prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, but whatever.
  6. Possibly three, you know. John Paul Stevens is no spring chicken. Dude's 85 or something.
  7. Likewise. how about we see your version of comedy gold before you start waving off the newbies. Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> (slips on a banana peel)
  8. Let the previous victors name the respective bowls each season.
  9. For such a mighty feat, he had better be in the zone after that. It takes considerable effort to penetrate such a wall of an O-line.
  10. Clinton as Chief Justice would be pretty bitchin', I think. People would also start paying more attention to the oft-neglected third piece to the Republic's puzzle.
  11. Terrorism is humans finally realizing that they can capitalize on the daily reliance most of us have on everything being totally predictable.
  12. Go on a trip down the east coast of the US, climaxing with a landfalling hurricane experience in Florida. That'd be pretty boss.
  13. Sorry, I'm too busy maintaining an artsy aloofness about things. I can't invest myself emotionally in parlor games such as professional wrestling.
  14. It's not a big deal to me, I'm just saying that on behalf of those who get pissed whenever they're spoiled. My reaction is usually the same as if I saw it live, so it doesn't matter to me.
  15. No, because I suggested that for the hell of it, thinking he might have been thinking of nWo Hogan.
  16. It's not that great.
  17. Run for cover, but Bill Clinton of all people was mentioned for a couple of seconds on CNN yesterday during discussion about a Chief Justice replacement, since the Taft thing came up.
  18. During yesterday's daily White House briefing, Scott McClellan was asked if the British memo to partially pull out affected American plans at all. Like with any Karl Rove questions (although not nearly as stonewalling), he just verbally flopped around and said the usual "we're committed to promoting freedom" jazz that doesn't solve any problems or inform anyone.
  19. I like that the headline on CNN.com said "Blair Shocked 'Bombers' Were British."
  20. Yeah man, I've gotten messages on AIM that spoiled shit, even if I had an away message up. It's seriously unavoidable sometimes, especially with big shit.
  21. I finally saw the Invasion PPV for the first time a couple of days ago. That crowd was nuclear, and I actually played the reaction to the Austin heel turn over and over. Kurt Angle was seriously booked to look like Superman at the end of that match. Anything within 10 feet of him got its ass kicked. The commentary was frustrating to listen to, and the whole night was weird to watch thanks to the full disclosure about ECW and WCW in the four years since. I mean, why would Paul Heyman be a complete stooge? It was neat to see him play the role of "evil mind that drives everyone," but yeesh. Totally neutered. And why the fuck would ECW work with WCW? Those were mortal enemies! I liked that even the refs were going at it. Doing this shit now would be so much better, with WCW being the mole company in this case. I would have really enjoyed a three-way promotional war. You could have faces and heels on all sides, and have the staying capacity to draw until Wrestlemania.
  22. A guy I knew kept asking me who the third bald guy in black tights was that wasn't Goldberg or Austin and was apparently also a huge star and was WCW champion possibly. At the time (mid-2000) I tried to remember such a person.
  23. I had a year off and couldn't find a job to save my life. Now I work two jobs and am raking in money, but am usually too tired to really enjoy it. That's good though, because I need to learn how to save and stuff.
  24. I got this the other day, and finally started playing it yesterday and today, and it's hard as balls. I'm constantly trying to keep myself from falling into the red constantly. Anyone got any advice or impressions on the game? I love it, it's deep without being too deep to seem daunting. The different building styles aren't that obvious, seems superfluous. And where's the Japanese option? That was great to see in 3000, the American, European, and Japanese styles.
  25. Christ, New England is a monster on there. The Packer rating is fair.
