I used to have a huge rotation of those shirts we're talking about. They've been phased out over time to only about 20% of their previous wearing. A few had to be retired because the more polyester-based ones' designs or whatever don't stand up well over time when you go dancing a lot in them. I also haven't gone out dancing in a while. Maybe the two are linked, as I was a fiend about going out when my shirt-wearing was at its peak.

Watersports Pig?! The others at least make a mild amount of sense.

Watching Booker in his matches against Rock during the Invasion is pretty nuts. He was badass back then, and could have totally been made into a co-top threat with Austin (or ignored that altogether), but nooooooooo.

It's the year 3,000, man. It's a setting that has no boundaries. I could see all the stuff being erased with a quick matter-of-fact explanation by the professor followed by "now let us never speak of it again," and then it goes into the setup for the episode. That's their style.

There's a collection of Indecision 2004 Daily Show coverage I got the other day. The first and second discs are their coverage of the conventions, and the third disc has the first debate and election night episodes, as well as a collection of segments on various parts of the campaign season from Edwards' running for President being announced on The Daily Show itself onward. Great collection, and they hammer everyone more than equally.

And you should see our new bridge, it's the longest cable-stayed bridge in North America as of today, when it opened to the public. We've also got a beach, man. Like, a beach with warm water. Loads of super cool people too. You can arrive around a PPV time and we can hit my sports bar of the last three years. I rule that place.

I got a Gamecube on Thursday, forsaking my broken X-Box, which will be cashed in for Gamecube games. I got the one that came with Metroid Prime, but I didn't realize it was some platinum edition so I got a black controller to match the other boxes I'd seen (which had Pokemon Stadium or something in them). So I have a platinum and black controller duo now. Anyways, I also got the Sonic Mega Collection, Madden 2005, and Mario Kart Double Dash. I love this system so far. Everything is just deep enough to be cool, but not cumbersome, and I'm loving the controller the more I use it, as well as the look of it. It really feels like a more innovative or visionary system than the X-Box or PS2, which are overbearingly in your face with technology, at the expense of looking far ahead and tailoring everything to the player instead of putting on a gee-whiz show. It also feels good to be back in the Nintendo fold after the X-Box interlude, which never felt natural. I almost missed out on this generation and it'd be the first, but I'm glad I didn't. Games I plan on getting next: Animal Crossing Star Wars Rogue Leader Super Mario Sunshine NCAA 2005/6 (the former if I can't wait) DBZ Budokai Yeah, I'm lame.
