  1. I'm not crying conspiracy so much about this, I just want to see fair treatment for all alleged criminals whether they're our soldiers or terrorists.
  2. Blair likes to cut and run, and by resigning has let the terrorists win. We should cut off diplomatic ties with Britain. Really, it'll be sad to see him go. I've always liked the guy, despite going along with the United States on Iraq. One thing's for sure: whoever the next Prime Minister is, they'll have a hard time re-creating the rapport that Blair and Bush seemed to have.
  3. It was early in the thread before you went all goofy, so I didn't know if it was part of that or not. It's cool if it was. Well, it's cool even if it isn't. We're not terribly caring at the secret cabal.
  4. I picked this up today, and guess what. There were two 10" color-coordinated subwoofers in the trunk. I had wondered why the stereo was putting out so much goddamned bass and couldn't figure it out until I opened the trunk to put some groceries in there. I'm selling them as soon as possible because I want trunk space, it's needless weight, and I can probably get a decent bit of coin for them and the box they're mounted in.
  5. Mario's got a fuckin' WANG, yipes.
  6. I'll bet if I just met Leena in a real-world situation, I'd do quite well. This assumes she wouldn't do the "grr ice princess who don't take any shit" crap like she does here. Then I'd just be all "fuck this" and find someone who's sociable.
  7. I love the indie rock line when someone pulls it out. Shows they have no idea what they're talking about. I'd jump on the Pit people for doing the whole other board thing since they bitched and moaned and made a huge scene out of it as they exiled themselves. We just started an idle, rather free form and laid back chit-chat board quietly, invite other like-minded guys and go about our business, never mentioning it all that much here or anything. Do you seriously think it was under the same childish circumstances as when The Pit was created? TSM isn't even mentioned over there. Seriously.
  8. That's happened to me twice on days after a night of hard drinking. Dehydration sucks.
  9. http://www.cnn.com/2006/POLITICS/09/06/bus...eech/index.html But we're all a bunch of dirty liberal liars who just hate the guy, right? Come on, even the most staunch of supporters here have to admit that this is not what America does. Sort of unrelated, but this ties into the theme of the thread, that being "we're flying head first into a disgusting age where the executive will have most or all of the power unless we change some shit." This is not to imply that it's some rampant problem in our military, but why are our offenders going to be protected instead of held to the same laws we're enforcing for detainees, not all of whom may be guilty (much like our own soldiers)?
  10. Like what? They've tried to drill in Alaska, but the liberals are against it. What else can they do? You know, there's stuff that can power our lives that isn't made out of dead dinosaurs. The solution from the right is what's gotten us into this crack addict state with oil, and that solution is "more drilling!" The government could, I dunno, promote alternative energy sources, provide funding for any private enterprises in this field, stuff like that. Something resembling conservation could also be encouraged with more than a few brief "try to be as fastidious and conservative as possible" mentions in different administration speeches over the last year. Why not revise the gas guzzler tax standards for automobiles? There's a good, small first step that I just came up with off the top of my head. More drilling is not the answer. It's just trying to go further down a road on which you've already reached the dead end. The answer is, for now and for the next few years most likely, to try and conserve as much as possible until something more efficient comes along in terms of price, environmental impact, mileage, and performance. The oil companies, the government, and the domestic automobile companies are all complicit in this technological stagnation and have been for decades, so there's no need to point and blame. It's a global problem, let's treat it with as much importance as it deserves instead of bitching.
  11. Cal was overrated, but Tennessee is still no higher than #15 right now until they beat Florida. And it's gonna happen this year. LSU worries me a lot more. It's Tennessee or Georgia out of the East, because Georgia will beat Florida this year also. Those will be Florida's two losses.
  12. There was a Smackdown show in Anderson?! Goddammit! I had no idea. Smackdown is surprisingly pleasing since I've started watching it again ('round the start of the summer).
  13. When I saw him last week with the pipe, I thought "oh shit, and he's got the pipe! Vince means business." It's been established over the last few years that that's his specialty fuckoff foreign object. First time I remember was during the Flair program in late 2001/early 2002. He's used it during matches and angles at least six or seven times since.
  14. When was the last time we even heard what Feinstein was up to?
  15. Wrong. Get back to The Battle of Los Angeles and step away from the keyboard.
  16. Yes you do, you do that crap all the time. As long as I've noticed what you were posting (since the first college football season I was here), you've made something of a big deal out of how well you were or weren't doing. In the Sports folder, you can virtually guarantee that half of all Iggy posts are going to read like some sports gambling expert and the other half are going to be defending whenever such thinking is absurd (most recently that I've seen, GT definitely beating ND this past Saturday). Wait, I'm sorry, say both are 49.5% of your posts and the final 1% is "I lost (dollar amount) on (team/game) but made (dollar amount) off of (other team/game)" or something to that effect. These days they're peppered with news of offsetting losses with gains from your card playing adventures. We get it, Mr. High Roller Wheeler Dealer McInsecurealot.
  17. With what? I don't see how PETA would have anything at all to do with this.
  18. I only posted that picture because getting real answers about rap is difficult.
  19. I'm totally banned within a week.
  20. Anywhere from $2.55 to $2.65 here for 87 octane.
  21. Not what I was thinking, but Crono being gone again is almost as good. EDIT: I'm also happy with the NHB changes.
  22. Man, Michigan's on the spaceturf now. Boo. Grass in all the oldest stadiums! What made Young impressive to me was his size. Vick did what he did while being about as big as a speed-oriented running back, but Young was such a bigger target. It was unbelieveable to see someone miss a tackle on the guy because he was that fleet on his feet. The longer strides also made him look slower than he was.
  23. I thought I'd just made that up based off the gag in Wayne's World 2 where the old roadie is telling tour stories.
