  1. Better luck next time...
  2. ... What's a weaverlock?
  3. Dragon clutch! No? Well, fuck you! It's the only sumbitchin I know!
  4. /me loves the hard sell...
  5. Pfft! Lazy-ass civilians... I work 60-70 hours a week, and have mandated PT four times a week. When I first joined the fed, I had a schedule that gave me more time to write, but then I fucked up and got myself promoted... I count my blessings that I still have the weekends, but that's pretty much it.
  6. You know, I'm usually good to write most shows, as long as I have at least one day out of the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) to write. Storm is the show that kills me; the card is usually posted on Monday, and the show is usually posted on Friday, and getting a chance to write between Monday and Friday is next to impossible for me.
  7. I wish I was still twenty, and had all kinds of free time to write, too...
  8. Was I imagining things, or did Jamal Crawford take a Vertebreaker in the T'Wolves game? @ my Kings blowing a 24-pt lead. Blazers played their asses off, though.
  9. Feh; I suppose your lack of speed and mobility might not as noticeable against hosses, but against me? :: decides on angle of approach for match ::
  10. Hey Ejiro, how is it that you've gained almost twenty-five pounds in two months, without an appreciable decrease in speed? EDIT- And why is the board's time about eleven minutes faster than real time? x2
  11. Oh, if only I weren't at work right now...
  12. ... Oh yeah, basketball. Sorry.
  13. Well, that's just great... You fuckers are going to cause me to have a nervous breakdown. I hope you're satisfied... Taamo, when my portion of the match stinks, blame them for making me crazy...
  14. My best friend came to me about a week ago, asking if we were going to do a fantasy league this year. Needless to say, I had to make a mad scramble to get everything together. I've got the league set up, but I need more people to join; right now, we have 6 players, and I was hoping to get at least ten, and maybe as many as 16-20. If anyone else missed the boat in getting in on the fantasy league here, or if you just feel like joining one more league couldn't hurt, please PM me for more information. Slim
  15. :: loves the tig ol' bitties, real or otherwise :: And, having said that, Molly is still my favorite.
  16. No takers? I had to push the draft back to this Saturday. Let me know if you're interested.
  17. So do I, but I still hope she doesn't win... :: smells a conspiracy ::
  18. :: goes off in search of black mist ::
  19. Yes, Johnny; we've decided to each write a match, and we will choose the best one.
  20. ... Thoth... you have a very... skewed sense of humor...
  21. Two Returning Stars... One Title Shot... Annie "Ichiban" Onita versus Janus Hardcore Gamers #1 Contender - No DQ - Janus must win. Why? Because I can beat Janus, that's why. Please win, Janus... :: pleads :: The Master Of Sickness... The Master Of Sin... Dace "F'n" Night versus "The Sinner" John Duran ICTV #1 contenders - Duran's hit a bad patch, and Dace is on fire. A Man Possesed... A Man Betrayed... "Deathwish" Danny Williams versus Va'aiga No Disqualification - I can't imagine that Danny would beat Va'aiga on Storm just to put him over on PPV, but I've been wrong before... A Friendship Offered... A Freindship Destroyed... Bastion versus Xstasy Fall Count Anywhere - But with DQ's - I'm not really sure how motivated either of these guys are to win this match, so I'll go with the champion to retain. Friends And Rivals... Enemies and Turncoats... Technicians and Monsters... The Main Event To End All Main Events... TOM FLESHER, THE BOSTON STRANGLER, WILDCHILD, AND JOHNNY DANGEROUS VS EREK TAYLOR, MICHAEL CRAVEN, "JUDGE MENTAL" WILLIAM HEARFORD, AND EJIRO FASAKI! Eight Man Elimination Tag - No pick
  22. Ah... Now I see. You brought Annie back as part of a conspiracy to take the Hardcore Title away from me. This makes the baby Jeebus cry...
  23. That's it; I'm getting a "We. Control. The. Gnomes" t-shirt made. Uhh... who's Curry, and why was he announcing in the X/Bastion match?
  24. SWF Smarkdown HOLT report November 10, 2003 Tokyo, Japan at Budokan Hall Report by Jason Boggs of Sasebo, Japan (via San Diego, CA), Smartmarks.com reader I’m in the Marine Corps stationed over here in Sasebo. I took the train all the way from Nagasaki to see this show, and believe me, it was worth the trip! Dark Matches: - Thoth beat “Shining Black” TokyoX in about 25 seconds. Before the match got started, TokyoX got on the microphone and started badmouthing Japan and the city of Tokyo. He said that they weren’t worthy to bear *his* namesake. I guess Thoth had enough, though, because he finally snapped and went off on this guy. He ended up winning with Riot of the Blood. - Leon Sharpe came down to the ring in wrestling attire, and said on the microphone that he was asked to come here because the SWF was going to give him a special birthday present. Sharpe went on to say that he was sure that his present was that he was finally going to get bumped to the SWF. Unfortunately for him, I don’t think that’s what his present was, as “Du Haste” brought out none other than Jamie Drazon. Jay Dawg just went absolutely nuts on poor Leon; he just beat on him constantly for about five minutes before mercifully ending the match with JD’s Revenge. Leon had to be assisted to the back by EMT’s after the match. - Dominic Korgath upset Stryke in 3:44. I think that Stryke was completely unprepared, because this match was almost entirely dominated by Korgath. Stryke started to make a late comeback, but Korgath countered a Frogsplash Crossbody with a Fallaway Slam, and went on to win with the Torture Rack. Smarkdown: - Japanese recording artist Hikaru Utada performed both the American and Japanese National Anthems. She really has a beautiful singing voice, and she’s pretty easy on the eyes, too. - Annie stayed in the ring for a few more minutes after the show went to commercial. Before she left, she vowed that she would return to Japan as the SWF World Champion. - After the Handicap match, there was an intermission. Funyon announced that there was a special guest in attendance tonight, then directed our attention to the skybox, where Frost was seen sitting with the Memphis Eel. Frost stood up to accept the crowd’s applause, and we gave him a three-minute standing ovation. They then held a contest to give away some Frost-brand™ merchandise, and the guy sitting in front of me won a year’s supply of Frost-brand™ potato chips. - After the last promo, and the show went off the air, Justice and Rule came down to the ring, demanding reparations for the sneak attack by Wildchild and Johnny Dangerous on SJL Wrath. Wildchild and Johnny started to come back out to the ring to confront the tag champs, but Erek Taylor and Michael Craven came up from behind and jumped them. They beat them all the way down to the ring, where Justice and Rule joined them in the assault, but Strangler and Flesher came back down to the ring to make the save, chasing the four attackers out of the ring. “I am the Man” came back on as Flesher and Strangler helped Wildchild and Johnny back to their feet. - After they finally left the ring, Funyon thanked all of us for coming out. Best Pops. 1) Frost 2) Annie 3) Flesher 4) TBS 5) Xstasy Loudest Boos 1) Erek Taylor 2) Va’aiga 3) Ejiro Fasaki 4) TokyoX 5) Jay Dawg
  25. It's probably a safe assumption at this stage that the show's not going up tonight, but it still would have been nice if you would have said something; some of us have been waiting up all night to see if you would decide to put the show up. Even a "the show's not going up tonight because I don't feel like it" would have been better than nothing.
