  1. We come upon Manson sitting in the locker room after SWF Smarkdown, undoing the wrist tape that had been around his hands. Suddenly Ben Hardy walks into the shot, microphone in hand, causing Manson to sigh to himself and stand. "Make it quick, Ben." Ben gulps, "Manson, you and Clark suffered a loss tonight--" "Listen. Things just didn't come together tonight, of course it didn't help that Clark showed up minutes before our match, but there's nothing I can do about that now, and that's that." "O-Okay, well, about Lockdown and Austi--" Hardy begins, only to be cut off again. "Austin doesn't realize what he's gotten himself into. I've stood toe to toe with the best here and never even flinched, and Austin is no different. I tell ya, when Austin hit me with that chair in our match, he signed his death certificate," he says, now turning toward the camera. "Boy, you best not look past me, because you see, I may not have gotten to you tonight, but I will be at From the Fire and you will be mine, you son of a bitch!"
  2. Talking this much about such a mediocre character with such a mediocre career is a bit strange, but here goes. Mafia was chosen because I had a fascination with the whole lifestyle associated with the mafia, but of course, the character never matched the name. Manson, because of the connotations and images it invokes, even if I never did plan to pattern him after Charlie in anything more than name. Aside from a misguided attempt at becoming Jericho-lite with tights and all, I've generally kept the same look. I was a fan of Raven and Crowbar, and that's who I patterned my look after. It should be known that aside from having long blackish hair at times, I look nothing like that, especially being so fucking short... but still a little taller than Janus. Mafia was the way he was because I obviously didn't think things through when I joined. I never did anything "mafia-like" aside from having a penchant for violence. On a whole he was pretty much Raven and Crowbar, with the depression and erratic paranoia. Nothing fit together, and if I were to go back, I'd do things quite differently. It wasn't until I changed my name that my character today took shape. The paranoia of old went on the decline, as violence, bitterness, angst and such came to the forefront. He's obviously that way because all he does to come back from injuries, personal issues, etc. means squat and he remains unfulfilled... although unintentional, my lack of successes character-wise and personally makes the bitterness more believable. Likewise, there are other aspects of the character that are culled from my own personality. Thankfully I salvaged my character from such great ideas like Hate Personified, The New Sound and Tommy Gunn, and forced him to evolve somewhat logically. Like Zed, I don't know if I really want to be remembered for anything.
  3. It was Russ. I thought it was one of the Dupps?

  5. Case Closed is awful. On Wolf's Rain, the premise is that wolves were thought to have died out and are extinct, but this isn't the case and there are some that still exist, but they must adapt and appear as humans so as not to be hunted down. So, yes, wolves that can disguise themselves as humans.
  6. Forget the rest. That little bastard Walt is the biggest asshole of the survivors.
  7. I don't really care about the philosophies in Wolf's Rain. It's just slow and has a lot of dull spots with extremely unlikeable characters which seem like they belong on Gundam due to how one dimensional, whiny and broody they are. Psycho furries latching onto the show is no fault of the creators and it at least had good art, animation and music.
  8. Where's the fun in that.
  9. I'd like my note to be so brief, so long and rambling or just a total non sequitur so that either way doesn't really explain anything. Maybe put them through a fun scavenger hunt in order to lighten the mood, only for it to end up being right there in my desk drawer.
  10. How'd he kill himself? For future reference.
  11. As much as I like him, Andersen shouldn't have been in either year. He has hops but is the epitome of a game dunker who largely makes his living as an off the bench presence in the middle who can block and gather rebounds. I just think the NBA sees some marketability in the fact that he's a white guy with tattoos and wild hair who can make highlight reels.
  12. So, what's the most boneheaded choice: Kelly Clarkson or the Goo Goo Dolls?
  13. Who the fuck is that? Agent of Oblivion.
  14. http://www.rspwf.net/default.cfm The rec.sports.pro.wrestling.fantasy fed directory.
  15. We pay for hosting on the forums and that's basically it. Besides the space we have at swf.thesmartmarks.com, which no longer serves much use being outdated and incompatable with the new site, all we have is the link on their main page. Getting that updated to link to the new site is basically the first priority. Along with that, we just need to get out to other wrestling forums, e-fed toplists, groupings, and whatever else, and post.
  16. I was gonna post a picture of Ash's ex in response to Edwin, but that would've been mean... and I couldn't remember where it was located. Anyway, I have no plans for the PPV, but rest assured I'll pull through with a no-show.
  17. In a word... no. I dislike the idea. There's no reason for another OAOAST, as slightly different as it would be. They and the SWF both have their own unique ideologies and identities, enough to set them apart from each other and the other feds out there. As much as the SWF's roots and lineage would remain intact, one would be all too similar to the other. As you said, we're not in a crisis just yet. Really, the roster hasn't been at 'full strength' in a long, long time, but we always endured and have shown flashes of our old selves at times. As mentioned by someone... somewhere, on chat or the boards, I forget which, we've simply reached a plateau on TSM. We've honestly leeched all the resources and members we can from them, and of course, it doesn't help that we aren't advertised anywhere to my knowledge. The site would help with that, and once we have it, it will be easier to get our name out there. With all that said, there's never been anything that says we can't co-op and determine winners amongst ourselves. It's been done multiple times. We've just become so accustomed to the traditional way, as well as egos being involved, along with a lack of community and communication, that it isn't more widely practiced. There's no reason why something like this can't remain intact, I'd just prefer it not be an official edict, as long as we establish that it can be done if needed.
  18. Because of King, I learned the meaning of true love.
  19. Except he's the food man.
  20. Xbox got Splinter Cell and SC Pandora Tomorrow first, but they eventually found their way to the other consoles a number of months after.
  21. They haven't even made it the past couple of years, but Blitz is shut out as well.
  22. Yeah, I also live in CO. The wrestling scene here is awful. There were a few in business the last I looked around the net, but it honestly seems like none of the feds around here last very long before folding. Fusion Pro Wrestling is probably the best bet to look into. Rocky Mountain Championship Wrestling and NWA Rocky Mountain, I'm not even sure are still around. There are a few others, but I can't even recall their names at the moment.
