Just a guess, but something tells me that Benoit MIGHT know a bit more about the situation than SK. Granted, SK *IS* a known Benoit stalker, so he might know 90% of it...

Waitress claims Kobe groped her at Shaq's house
teke184 replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in Sports
Pardon me for pre-judging someone but FUCK Kobe Bryant. He and his lawyers have been playing dirty pool recently so something like this is just what the prosecution needs to hold his feet to the fire. No matter what the outcome of this case is, I hope that the woman accusing Bryant of rape sues the Colorado court system for all it's worth considering the massive amount of screw-ups in this case to this point. -
Arkansas blistered the Longhorns midway through the season, winning by about 20+ points.

Take a look at Kuwait and tell me if they could REALLY afford to offend any of their allies. The Saudis and the US are the main reasons why the country isn't Baghdad Heights right now.

As ticked as I am at the perceived slight to LSU, it's still a better position than they opened last year in AND they don't have the bullseye on them that USC has.

Christ, people get on Bush for being on an anti-depressant yet these same people would probably defend any questionable decision Kennedy made while he was high as a kite due to medication for his back and his Chron's Disease. Bush being on an anti-depressant would mean he's much more likely to make well thought-out decisions rather than reactional ones. Considering that a lot of people say he's too reactionary, this would be one way of countering that.

San Fran is notorious for voter fraud and election irregularities, although there may not be a machine in the sense of Boss Tweed of New York or Richard Daley of Chicago. It's not uncommon to find ballot-boxes floating in the Bay, which is why a city elections official was supposed to be fired in the past year but was kept on because her "lifemate" was in the middle of a sex-change procedure. (SF is, BTW, one of the only cities to offer that particular operation as a part of a city medical plan)

Because the point of the electoral college is to make sure rinky-dink states have a voice, too. Republicans in particular are big fans of this, because if you ever lookat the election map there seems to be acres of red, each state an easily-forgotten one that only has a few electoral votes. But, when put together, are a better ace in the pocket than the Democrats winning the states where most of America is gathered. IMHO, the system is good as it is because 90% of the US is pissed off about people in New York and California referring to us as "flyover country", as Alec Baldwin did during the Democratic Convention. Elitist comments like that make me glad that someone can't just campaign in about 10 major cities and win the election. If it were the case, the only places that the Dems would bother campaigning in are places that tend to have long-standing political "machines" in place like New York City, Chicago, and San Francisco.

The 1970s What If series was utter and complete unreadable shit. The 1989 series (or at least the first fifty issues of the 1989 series) was much much much better and much much more readable..... Eh, some of the old issues are decent. I've only read a handful of them, with all of them being based on Spider-man. What If? Volume 1 #7 (What if someone else got bit by the spider?), What If Volume 1, #19 (What if Spider-Man Stopped the Burglar?), and What If? Volume 1, #46 (What if Uncle Ben had Lived - and Aunt May had died?) are all fun reads. I'm a huge Spider-man mark though, so that may have something to do with my enjoyment of these issues. Admittinly, I've only read the later issues of Volume 2, though, and those sucked. I'll try to track down some of the earlier issues, since you guys say they're good. Speaking of Altenate Universe's, how are Earth X, Paradise X and Universe X? My comic shop has them on sale and I'm thinking of picking them up, but I've heard mixed reviews. Try using Bit Torrent. There's an archive of What If issues on one of the sites that has the entire run of the 1989 series.

Samples from Rotten Tomatoes: "Every village needs an idiot -- and M. Night Shyamalan is hoping it's you." -- Staci Layne Wilson, HORROR.COM "[shyamalan] hasn't lost his eye as a director, but the story is a mess, boring at first and then becoming progressively sillier until it loses complete credibility." -- Glenn Whipp, LOS ANGELES DAILY NEWS "The Village pours on creepy atmosphere, but this dud is too intent on delivering its liberal 'message' to actually deliver the kinds of scares it promises in the terrific trailer." -- Lou Lumenick, NEW YORK POST

The 1970s What If series was utter and complete unreadable shit. The 1989 series (or at least the first fifty issues of the 1989 series) was much much much better and much much more readable..... I think the cutoff for readable issues of the 1989 series was the end of the five-part TimeQuest storyline in issue 39, "What If The Watcher Saved The Universe?" That particular set of stories are the last ones I remember being really good, as the series went downhill VERY soon afterwards. The only decent one I remember after that was the "What If War Machine Had Not Destroyed Living Laser?" issue. Of the 89 series, I'd say some of the best issues are "What If the Alien Costume Posessed Spider-Man?", "What If the X-Men Had Stayed in Asgard?", and "What If Wolverine Was Lord of the Vampires?". Some of the two-parters, such as Spider-Man choosing Black Cat instead of Mary Jane, were good as well.

If you piss off a mod, will it get changed to Coal Miner's Glove?

Now if only some animals being "saved" by PETA would kill a few of their members... Yes, it's cruel to say something like that. However, I have NO tolerance for PETA because they've gone miles past true "ethical treatment" for animals into becoming the freakin' political wing for Vegans and Vegitarians. IMHO, "ethical treatment" would involve getting better conditions for circus animals or making sure that pet shops, kennels, and pounds aren't confining animals into too small of an area. Going to public schools in an attempt to indoctrinate children that eating meat is wrong is abhorrent, IMHO, because they're preying on people not old enough to know truth from bullshit and what the possible consequences of a Vegan diet are. (Yes, PETA DID do this in my hometown... dumb bastards went at 3:00 on the last day of school, though, even though classes let out at 12:00 that day.)

Anyone know how to fix corrupted Secure Digital cards? I have an MP3 player and a 512 meg card that are telling me I need to reformat them with a SigmaTel formatter... The problem is that I don't know where to find one and can't find my original software that came with the damned player. Anyone got any suggestions?

What did Kenny Mixon get suspended for? Did his dumb ass do coke AGAIN? He already was suspended for a season at LSU for that shit.

But he's whiter than I. He'd probably stick with "bee-yotches" -=Mike ..."I now replace John Edwards as my VP --- and replace him with Lil'Jon!!!" Theodore Long for Kerry's new campaign manager? Belee dat. playa. -=Mike "I want my face on the dolla-dolla bill, y'all!"

My hope is that they realize that they probably can't do this in only one movie unless the bastard's going to be 3+ hours long. Things that I feel will be cut- 1. References to Night Owl I's "Under The Hood", other than the Comedian - Silk Spectre I attempted rape 2. That goddamn pirate comic book 3. The whole lesbian cab driver deal 4. References to minor members of the Minutemen such as Dollar Bill, Silhouette, and Mothman. Stuff like Doctor Manhattan's origin, Hooded Justice's breakup of the attempted rape and his subsequent mysterious disappearance, the Crimebusters meeting in the 60s, etc. should all be in there because of how crucial it is to the plot.

If this is a situation where she got the sperm from Sperm In A Cup Inc. , then this is bullshit. If she asked the guy to provide a sample she could use and he did, it gets iffier. However, a verbal agreement of "If you do this, I won't expect you to support the kid" SHOULD stand up.

Hey ladies, always wanted a big bosom?

They don't give, you know, the soldiers boob jobs, do they? "Well, Private, we got some bad news. The bullet wound has led to some serious infection. But, on the good side, you have wonderful big breasts." -=Mike "Peter, did you have to get Chris breast implants while we were here?" *Chris walks by, squeezing silicone breast implants in his hands* "Gee, thanks dad!" -

I was listening to a talk-radio show on the way home and there was a call-in section devoted to the best explanation behind why Berger did what he did. My personal favorite mentioned theory was that the "missing" FBI files that ended up in Hillary Clinton's possession were used to blackmail Berger into doing it. The purpose was for him to get caught and sink Kerry's campaign, setting Hillary up for a run in 2008.

I think this may be the only time in history you'll hear any football team say "SHIT... we're playing Kent State this week."

I remember back in the late 80s / early 90s, when the Braves sucked, they had to pass on a must-pick prospect at the #1 slot named Todd Van Poppel because he said he wanted to go to college first. He subsequently signed with the Oakland As, the defending World Series champions. They ended up taking someone who just sounded like a bust. I remember saying to myself "Chipper Jones? What the fuck kind of name is that?" Considering that Jones is a great player and Van Poppel is a Trivial Pursuit answer, I guess we know who got the better end of that one.

I'm still surprised that the Batman / Superman movie contained the following conversation: "Where are Joker and Quinn?" "I don't know. Probably off somewhere making ha-ha."
