I always say how I "mark out" but NOBODY SAYS ANYTHING. They just nod and go "yeah I know right?" Then again I say "There's a sale on cookies at the School Store today" and they also go "yeah I know right?" so maybe I should test this on people who aren't functional illiterates like the ones I used to go to school with. I've actually made second-degree smark references: TSM references. If somebody totally misses the point of a joke I say "WHOOSH," and if I get caught in a situation where I paint myself into a corner and make myself look bad, I just go "Yeah well I was kidding the whole time anyway!
