  1. I'm the opposite. I don't bother with college football because they're all a bunch of exhibition games, imo. And I can't stand fantasy football because you end up watching a game just for the player or two you may have on your team that's involved in the game. However, many people like this, so more power to them...
  2. I have several: Citi Mastercard, Bank One Visa and Discover. I also have Sears and Kohls cards but I just use those when I get extra discounts by using them. My three "main" ones all have cashback offers, and I use the Citi one for everyday purchases. Discover to buy scoopable litter at Sam's Club (that's about all I use it for) and the Bank One is for emergencies. I don't know what the interest rates are because I pay everything off when it's due. The only exception to this is my Discover which has $900 of my !@#$ wedding bill because the better half couldn't pay her share of the expenses off...
  3. Yeah, I was there 'til 'fn midnight because the better half said we had to stay for the entire !@#$ reception because this couple stayed for ours. Of course, ours ended at 11 p.m. Oh, yeah, deadline has come and gone...
  4. I always had about 5k in the bank but this f'n wedding wiped me out, especially since the better half couldn't pay her half of the reception hall. But hey, she says she'll pay me back (in about 20 years...)
  5. What? No cockshots?...
  6. Sucks...
  7. Never cared for GI Joe -- I always pulled for Cobra...
  8. Maybe my next HP computer will be cheaper now. So it'll be business as normal for you? My old lady had the same thing happen to her in regards to severence. She had to train the person that was going to do her job for about 6-9 months. I guess the best thing to do would be to look for work and if you find another job before your severence is up to leave. It sucks, but it's life. Any idea when your last day will be? Look on the bright side, you'll get to post here more often...
  9. And I mentioned this over at the other place. *Shrug...*
  10. Just heard on the radio that Ron Francis retired. He was still around, too?...
  11. Here is the source for the odds, which were done at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 14. I tweaked the spreads that had a whole number by a half-point. The NYG/NO game had no spread, so I gave the Giants a half-point. Baltimore (4.5) at Tennessee Buffalo at Tampa Bay (2.5) Detroit (1.5) at Chicago Jacksonville at Indianapolis (9.5) Minnesota at Cincinnati (3.5) New England (3.5) at Carolina N.Y. Giants (.5) at New Orleans Pittsburgh (6.5) at Houston San Francisco at Philadelphia (13.5) Atlanta at Seattle (1.5) St. Louis at Arizona (1.5) Cleveland at Green Bay (6.5) Miami at N.Y. Jets (6.5) San Diego at Denver (2.5) Kansas City (1.5) at Oakland Washington at Dallas (5.5) Deadline is Saturday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. However, I will be attending a wedding so if you're going to be late, this is the week to do it. Note: If you have to use your Emergency Picks more than four times, you will lose your ability to re-claim your team first next season... 12. Is this better than that North Korea commercial that was posted here a while back?...

    Shaq

    No Shaq Fu?...
  14. I didn't even notice that. And I'm sure Banky got some sweet measure of revenge for getting bumped out of the playoffs last year by that unlikable poster who didn't even bother to make his postseason selections...

  16. Damn, I forgot he was still around...
  17. Insta-results are up. Winners are in bold-face. If there isn't a poster in bold for a matchup, it's still up for grabs. Please double-check your picks -- you have to check one, maybe two lists of picks. I have to check 64... He sent it, but he had the same pick as you so I didn't bother putting it down. You lost via TB score...
  18. I missed out on the PSX/N64 generation -- was too busy in college to have time for video games. I went from Atari to Sega to PS2...
  19. I was a Genesis kid. And I heard '95 was more realistic and shit, but for me nothing provided more video game enjoyment than '94. Loved the one-timers and the manual goalie controls. In addition, the music was great for its time. It was the only game out there where we had realistic contests: Scores like 4-2 and 2-1 were commonplace for my friends and I, but the games were so fun to play, mostly because when you scored a goal, you had to work for it, not like the easy way to fake out the goalies in the first two NHL games; those contests ended up being 15-13 contests and took away the fun of the game for us. Because I was much better at Madden than anyone of my friends (they were much better at Mortal Kombat than I was, too) this was the only game we could play where anyone had a chance of winning...
  20. Update Fucking assholes. I'd give them the finger, but they'd probably use it to sue another store...
  21. Stand/sit around, do nothing. "Union" is a perfect name for this...
  22. My n*gga. I read somewhere that NHL '06 will have NHL '94 in the game (or it will have this year's rosters look/sound/act like the '94 version). Anyone else hear this? Also, will these new games feature all the new labor agreements, most notably the salary cap?...
  23. Deadline has come and gone. Anyone that didn't submit a pick for Thursday's game will take it as a loss; EP's are for Sunday/Monday games. EDIT: Deadline has come and gone for Sunday's games...
  24. He was also the guy who got drafted by the Colts and Mel Kiper Jr. threw a fit because he thought the Colts should have drafted someone else. Someone from the Colts punked him out and good times were had by all (Did Mel want Indy to draft Dilfer?...)
  25. I was joking around, but if I were you I wouldn't expect an ignorant Yank to know. Oh, and ESPN recently did some hippie report on that dude from your country that tried walking across Canada to fund cancer research. How far did he get?...
