In my experiences, it was usually the teenagers -- many of the adults showed up for work and were bitter about their lot in life.
Although I did have the other kind of teenager -- the one that acually has aspirations and treats the job as a sidenote. They would write on the request-time-off slip the days they are available to work in a month rather than the days they need off. (Example: I've got a National Honors meeting every Tuesday, soccer practice Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but I CAN work Saturday the 21st from 1-5 p.m. and Sunday the 13 from 2-6 p.m...)
