No prob. I had been making the threads on Wednesday, but the Vegas lines were still a bit unstable. Thursday's lines were more in tune with how Vegas wants you to bet on the games. The MNF football game will still be a bit inaccurate when compared to the Vegas line, but that's too f'n bad...

No, I started it Thursday morning, when the Vegas lines would be "accurate" so all the whiners about "unrealistic" point spreads would be appeased. Now the I-have-no-time-to-make-picks brigade is starting to come out of the woodwork. Oh, yeah, Deadline for the Saturday games has come and gone. Like the Turkey Day picks, these games won't be used for people that have to rely on Emergency Picks this week...

My old man was a genius in the sense that when it came time for my whipping, he had this stick with a nail through it. I share Starvenger's thoughts regarding the lack of scoring. Add to that the "slow pace" (players plodding up and down the field -- granted they're running non-stop for 90 minutes, but that doesn't count) and you have something that most Americans wouldn't tune into watch. I'll watch soccer every now and then, but I don't tune into it like I do American football...
