  1. If the odds are THAT stacked against Ken I'd put a little cabbage on him because, if Ken DOES manage to pull it out, you'll clean up.
  2. Hafner's hurt by having too many name 1B/DHs around him (Ortiz and Giambi) so he kind of flies under the radar a lot. But an All-Star team does NOT need three catchers.
  3. He does. He has the Ivan Drago accent a bit, but he does.
  4. Wow, if that's the order of matches then Neer/Burkman is going to be the Trish/Lita/Jazz triple threat of this card in terms of crowd heat. Although I doubt Tito/Ken will go past two rounds, I think the Heavyweight title match could be interesting. I think both guys know full well what the other is capable of and the match will come down to skill and who wants it more.
  5. And he had Cena do the dirty work for him with the FU, so all he had to do was blindside Cena with the belt and have RVD all to himself. A pretty logical finish, if you ask me.
  6. The tag matches had a nice mix of logical short squashes (Hoff and Gilbraltar) and "I don't know who's gonna win" matches (Mel/Wright vs. Tony/Bruce), but it was the battle royal at the end that really took the MOTN honors for me. Last year's was decent, but because everyone was scrambling around writing tag matches it suffered. Not this year. Damn that Longdogger! And am I the only one that found writing for just Cole and Coach 1000x easier than the three man booth?
  7. Guess Will & Grace, Malcolm in the Middle and King of Queens got the annual "It's the last season so let's throw them a bone" nominations (Kevin James for best actor is laughable).

With Carl Crawford, Carl Crawford on third, Jason Johnson decides to pitch from the windup (taking forever to get it to the plate) and Crawford steals home like he was walking. New 5th starter, plz.
  9. That Ronaldo kid REALLY needs a good beating after all that flopping he did. Seriously, they absolutely need to penalize these guys in SOME way for this shit. At least I'll be able to get around town without having half the streets blocked off to traffic because of drunken Portuguese people (Fall River ain't called "Little Portugal" for nothing).
  10. It's from the PWInsider report. You'd know that if you read the post right above it.
  11. Football is too team-centric for there to be any singular "clutch" player. Brady and Ben need his receivers to catch their passes, their o-line to block and their RBs to run for them to be successful (on top of Vinatieri's kicks in Brady's case).
  12. Sean Salisbury called Big Ben "The Derek Jeter of Football" After making TWO playoffs and winning ONE Superbowl. Wha?
  13. Ok, we'll take the week off this week and pick it up on 7/13
  14. After watching the UFC shows on Spike tonight, I'm seriously thinking about plunking down the cash to order this show just to see Ortiz pound Shamrock into the dirt. Ortiz calling Shamrock "A professional wrestler trying to be an Ultimate Fighter" is a pretty decent burn, is it not?
  15. That's not a bad idea.
  16. Looking at the final fan voting totals, Mauer sure made quite a run on catcher in the last week or so, losing out to Pudge by less than 17,000 votes.
  17. That schedule is not very easy. Four games against tough divisional opponents (Indy and Jacksonville), playing the teams of the NFC East; really the only "easy" games I see are the Jets and Buffalo. Young teams are usually inconsistent and they've got some tough games to start off (at Miami, home vs. Dallas, at Indy), so they might be in a bit of a hole by their bye week. If Volek is at his 2004 form that will help immensly, but if not I am one of those not totally sold on Vince Young as an elite NFL QB.

Speaking of the Kazmir trade, he two hits the Sox while the Mets get stomped yet again 11-1 to the Pirates. Yeah, that was a good trade.
  19. Kruk was bitching about Ortiz getting picked even though he's a DH, but he's one of the most popular players in the game right now playing for a team with a huge fanbase. Pudge must have had quite the rally to earn the starting spot.
  20. There hasn't been a true heel commentator on WWE programming in years, so I think JBL's done a pretty good job in the snippets I've caught. His booming voice is going to take time to get used to, though.
  21. If there's a "Second Chance" vote, I'll definitely put as many votes in as Mauer as I can. Varitek really doesn't deserve to make the team let alone be voted as starter. I'm guessing Papelbon and either Schilling or Beckett will round out the Boston representatives.
  22. That's pretty odd and something I've never had happen to me. Perhaps it's some kind of spyware you have on your system or something.
  23. Oh come on. One little PM from me asking him to tone the namecalling down a bit when talking about ECW in the WWE folder is "pushing him into leaving"? I mean, really now.
