  1. Oh, right. Axel/Crystal is like the Bret/Owen match at WM X right, so Axel doesn't have an advantage of wrestling once? *Smacks forehead* Idiot. Don't know how I totally missed that.
  2. I continue to really enjoy the interplay between Crystal and Axel, so much that I kind of wish that they were going at it at AM instead of Axel being involved with the title. That was a pretty damn quick switch in Josie's office from the whole thing with Axel to that Brock contract signing, I must say OMG CWM swerve~! OMG PART II Caboose returns~! Anglemania looks pretty good right now.
  3. The Boston Beaneaters select OF Dwight Evans

  5. Well, people are kind of doing that already in the thread that's not pinned, so just check that.
  6. The Boston Beaneaters select: SP Andy Pettitte
  7. If this happens, way to endear yourselves EVEN MORE to the Lions faithful there, Matt. Can you say "Raked over the coals?" Well, he is a former Raider, and they don't look for MENSA candidates to play there, so.... (Just getting into form for opening night early, Sass)
  8. He'll go on the PUP list this year and get his usual salary, and if he decides to retire after '05, I wouldn't be surprised if he stays on it in '06 as well, just as a nice gesture by the Pats. Although we've seen how Belichick doesn't get too attached to players and lets them go when they can't help the team effectively anymore. Kraft might give him a front office job or something.
  9. I was going to pick Radatz as kind of a tribute, along with his pretty good bullpen numbers. Would have been fun having him and Eckersley bicker about if Eck deserved the MVP in 1992 only pitching 80 innings. Get Rico Petrocelli in there challenging Eck to come to the studio and talk, and you have radio gold. Frequent WEEI listeners will remember that exchange. A few bits of it: Eck: "Dick, you're not my pal." Dick: "Aw, come on buddy." Eck: "You are beyond your *bleep*ing age." Rico: "Don't talk in the car.....I want you to come over here. We're right outside the ballpark." Eck: "Oh, Riiiico."
  10. Can anyone spare a couple thousand? I blew all my money gambling.
  11. I just signed up as KingPK. Reminds me of that "Gang Warz" game we played a while back, where you could either become a drug runner, a pimp, or a killer and could join gangs and everything.

  15. That's what the picks thread is for. Click Edit, then Find (or hit CTRL+F) to bring up a search box where you can see if a player has been picked already.
  16. Wasn't it a Monday night game when they did it?
  17. When the Head to Head baseball draft is done, I'll unpin that one and pin this one. EDIT: And it is, so I will
  18. I thought you got that payback when the Raiders beat the Pats in Oakland in 2002?
  19. I'm keeping track of that (meaning, my own team, not everyone's) myself. A simple notepad document would do.
  20. The Thursday night season opener and first Monday night game have been announced: The NFC title rematch should be a good game, but the Raiders seems like an odd choice for the Patriots' first opponents. The Colts are coming up here again, but I can understand why the NFL would hold that off for a late-season Monday night game or something. Hell, I'd even go for them opening in Pittsburgh against the Steelers, so both prime-time games would be conference title rematches.
  21. This one is true. Yeah, it was supposed to be the reward for Owen going along with the whole Blue Blazer thing in the first place, I believe.

  23. Fine by me Al. Poor Shoeless Joe would have to stop and rest chasing deep fly balls
  24. Games that are essentially long stories where you play a character and enter commands to interact with the story (i.e. "open door" "take *object*" "talk to *person*"). I've played a few; it depends on the quality of the writing to really enjoy one.
  25. Since Harley STOLE my park (enjoy the 45 minute commute every home game from Pawtucket to Boston), I can't really decide which one to pick, since I remember that Al said Braves Field is out. I'd like to pick the Huntington Avenue Grounds, but the dimensions are a bit wacky, especially center being 635 feet from home plate. EDIT: I want the South End Grounds, the third version. The fences in left and right are a bit close, but you can push them back a bit if you want.
