Either or. Just 5-10 ideas that you think could help the business, whether it be from an angle standpoint, or changing the way matches are booked, etc. You're on the creative team, you have input, but you have to get it approved... Dames

Alright...everyone knows that the product is in serious trouble. Ratings are down, house attendance figures are in the toilet these days...and it doesn't seem like things are getting any better. A lot of people on the internet think that they can fix the problems plaguing the promotion and turn it around. The bottom line is, that company is being mismanaged internally and no one will really have an opportunity to take a long term approach to turning things around. So I direct this question to you. Assume the company were to hire YOU on the WWE Creative Team, but on a trial basis up until Wrestlemania 21. Since you're only a member of the team, not the head of it, you have limited input into the actual exectution of most angles and what really goes into the show. Give me 5 to 10 examples of things you would do to turn things around before your trial on the Creative Team is over. Keep in mind that you have to sell your ideas to upper management and the head of the writing staff, so I want detailed explanations as to why this would better the product. You have to make them believe it enough to have them go through with it. This is a BUSINESS, but it's a rather unique one, so play that up. I'd like to see what you guys can come up with. Dames

I thought this would make for an interesting topic. When I first moved up to CT, I was out of the loop on a lot of my favorite TV shows for a couple of months. I borrowed tapes from friends to catch up for most of them. When I got high speed internet installed, I caught up on the rest on my computer. Then, I found a GREAT site for TV Show rips, tvtorrents.net. They have HDTV rips of most shows. At this point, I noticed that I had changed my viewing habits. I realized that I pretty much didn't HAVE to be home or set my VCR to record one or two things that I always watch...I could just download them. Now, I refuse to watch certain shows on TV, since I can get an HDTV rip of if on the net. I HATE Fullscreen. I'd rather watch TV on my TV screen, since it's a much bigger picture, but the computer gives me convenience. Now I'm getting DVR installed in a couple of weeks and I won't even have to download most shows on the net. It's freed up my time in terms of the weekdays, because I know I can watch it later. However, I still think that if there's a GREAT show out there, like 24 or The Sopranos that I'm hooked up, I'll make an attempt to see it live. Has the internet or DVR (Digital Video Recorders)/Tivo changed the way you watch TV? What will happen to the TV industry in the future with DVR's availability growing exponentially in the country? Rando, Happy Birthday. I remember when you first started posting and you made it a point to post in EVERY SINGLE THREAD. I'm glad you smartened up I would have gotten you a pony too, but the delivery was hijacked by a Z. Malibu. Dames

And not one mention of Mike Sanders!? You're all bastards. Dames

Why dont you download it, Mole? Dames

The show was never shot in widescreen.... Dames

Well, I wouldn't say that I'm horrible...I'm just not confident, but that comes from lack of experience. I got my license and since then, I've only driven the damn car 3 times. The car has given me trouble ever since I got it and to be honest with you, the guy who sold it to me is a friend and he's been putting in all of the money to fix it. I still haven't even paid him for the car. I just can't wait to get back on the road. Dames

I've pretty much had every pizzaria and chinese take out place in the area deliver to my apt. In the town over, there's a strip with every single fast food chain, a Denny's and several cultural restaurants. Lots of options. But...I'm a picky eater so I haven't ventured into exotic foods here. Dames

The honest to God truth is that I'm a horrible driver since everyone crashes their first car, I just wanted a beater for about a year or so, while I can save money and gain experience. Dames

It was a Tang Orange and you're right...that was the funniest part of the whole thing, even though Stone Cold Steve Austin trying to piss on Arn Anderson was pretty damn surreal. Dames Actually, it was green because Show had on some white(or off-white) pants and they turned green when Regal pissed on them. Austin had the orange piss, I think. And yes, it does scare me that I remember something like that. Oh, I was thinking of the Austin/Anderson segment, the Regal/Show segment had dark green piss...I do remember that. Nevermind. Dames

Oh, I remember Hoff... He was mishandled the very MOMENT he was on screen in a non-taped promo. Dames

If this was the one where he runs in and absolutely destroys Road Dogg, triple power bombs him, then yeah. I was marking out hardcore. Actually, that was the Smackdown after his debut. Dames

Oh God, please don't post that way. You're about to make my head explode. Is it so much to ask for a little punctuation and correct grammer from people? Dames

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
The Dames replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
Oh, I've been reading, but I've actually been lending out my Buffy & Angel's to a friend to get him into it. Dames -
I got caught with this one on Friday at work. Dames

I don't know about you, but alot of people want to see this. A "dream match" back in the day (before the purchase of WCW ) was something akin to a match that you NEVER would be able to see barring some unforeseen event, such as a big name jumping feds. Flair/Hogan in the 80's & early 90's was considered a dream match. Sting/Bret Hart for years was considered one. Goldberg/Austin was considered one for years as well, even though that never happened. The fans realize that Angle/HBK is something that the fed could put together fairly easily since no one really believes that Smackdown & Raw are two separate "companies". There really aren't any dream matches left, since there isn't any viable competition. Dames

The One and Only Angel Season 5 Thread
The Dames replied to Steve J. Rogers's topic in Brandon Truitt
Disc 4 & 5 are just chock full of great, great episodes. I can't WAIT for Season 5 on DVD! Dames -
The Undertaker and Steve Austin are probably Republicans also. I don't know about Eddie Guerrero. Don't Latino people love Bush up somethin' fierce? As far as I've always known, Latino's are predominantly Democrat, at least in the NYC area. Dames

So, it's been quite a while since I've said anything to anyone and I feel really bad about it too. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up as to what's going on in my life and hopefully re-integrate myself onto the board. So, as I'm sure most of you know, I'm living on my own now and it's really not as easy as it seems. Not necessarily because it's hard, but because more or less...I'm just lazy. Since I work from 10 - 6:30 at a job which can be VERY stressful at times, I normally spend the next couple of hours at my friends place, just relaxing. I don't get home until about 8-9pm on most nights and by that time, I'm either watching something on TV or I just don't feel like moving off my couch. But this morning, I finally got up and cleaned this place up for a change. Having crazy ass dreams all morning about being in Dawn of the Dead doesn't help, especially since I haven't seen the fucking movie! (It's all improv up there, baby.) Did some laundry, watched some TV, etc. and now I'm actually got nothing to do. Now here's a story that's going to make you laugh. I had my car for all of ONE DAY before it broke down on me and got towed away. The night of the Mayorga-Trinidad fight almost a month ago, I drove to my friends place (which is another hilarious story that I won't get into now) to watch the event. I headed back at about 2:00am as I stayed to watch a replay of the Klitchko fight on Showtime. On the way home, NO ONE was on the road and since I had my license for less than 24 hours at that point, I decided to give it a spin, try and learn the area. After about an hour of driving, I decided I was going to call it a night...and I broke down going up a hill less than a mile away from my place. So, let's check it... It's 3:00am. It's cold, I JUST got my license...and I don't know much about car maintenance since this is my first car. (It's a POS 15 year old LeBaron) Anyway, I didn't have Triple A yet, since I've had the car for ONE DAY and I didn't have any roadside plan...and who the hell am I going to call at 3:00am? So...I didn't freak out until about 4:00am when a cop rolled by and told me that I had to move the car since I was on a road. He called in a tower and took the car away...and the cop gave me a ride home, but made me sit in the back. Now, even though I was only less than a mile away from home, I live practically on the town line between Bristol and Southington and I was technically in another town at that time, so since I didn't have much cash on me, they towed the car to a lot in Southington and I had to pay over a $100 to get it back. I finally got it back and I've FINALLY got the damn thing running again, but I blew a fuse the night I broke down since I kept trying to start the car. So, basically I've got no headlights right now, which makes the car useless. That's being repaired this week, but this past month has been horrible in terms of that. On the flip side, I'm doing GLORIOUS at my job as I finished the month standings in the top 10 out of 200 Sales Agents, top 3 on my team and made a $1000 commission in my FIRST MONTH out of training! My manager loves me and I'm getting a great reputation at work. I've recently discovered the beauty of Bit Torrent and combine that with the fact that I'm getting DVR installed in two weeks and I'm never missing a show again. I haven't been home in over a month and I've got the afro to show for it. For those of you who ask why I don't just cut my hair up here forget that I don't have a RUNNING VEHICLE and two, I don't trust anyone in CT with a pair of scissors and a buzzer. I've been catching a TON of shit at my job for being a Yankee's fan this postseason as it's 70% Sox there. I was STILL talking shit when the SOX were up 3-0 on the Cardinals! I wasn't saying much during the ALCS, but after the Yanks lost and I got taunted for days...AngleSault had nothing on me. I FINALLY subscribed to the Wrestling Observer after years of procrastination and it's been worth it so far. I haven't been to the movies in months, but I do want to check out Saw. Lost RULES and I want to confirm once again my hatred for fullscreen. I'd rather download the HDTV rip and watch it on the comp that watch it on TV. Smallville's been great so far this season, but TV isn't the same without any Buffy or Angel and making me wait so damn long for 24 & Alias. Finally got through Season 2 of the Shield and THAT was awesome. Can't wait to get the 3rd one on DVD. Don't know what else to say for now, but I am still watching... Dames

You guys still care about me? Wow. Dames

Any city really. That's part of the reason why a Sox/Cubs Series last year...I wouldn't have minded too much. What can I say? I'm a fan of the Evil Empire, taking away the hopes and dreams of baseball fans across the country in revenge for the shitty 80's. Dames
-
Bob, I'm just giddy with the thoughts of how these fans would react.... And it's my last chance to talk shit during the Offseason and keep the advantage next year. Dames

If the Sox lose the next two games, Fenway will be ROCKIN for Game 6, but it goes to Game 7, Fenway will be full of fans who will be absolutely shitting themselves for 9 innings of baseball. Dames
