You obviously put a lot of time and work into it so it deserves to be read and given feedback. Off the bat I'd reccomend using the font for your final thoughts at the bottom for the whole thing because the red typewriter like font was hard on the eyes. I think it fills a good void for those who were used to reading Dames Diatribes. You seem to have more of a stream of conscious kind of style where you recap and just type whatever's on your mind at the time (although it might be easier to read and a little tighter to just point out the main spots of the match.) You're a fair rater and while there's a clear anti-Dutch bias you gave the X match a high rating and the opener a little higher than I would have. Resthold Kid? Hah, that's a little harsh. You even admitted he did a good job in the match. It seems like it took a lot of time to do, but if it's your thing, keep it up. Maybe ask Dames if he'll put it up on the site?

Punk in TNA: Virtual jobber in Xplosion tag team that has only seen main event level exposure as Raven's lackey. GET OVER IT! They're actually pushing him now, and you're pissed that they're not instantly making him the focus of the show (LOLTRIPLEJARRET2004 save it). Give it due time and stop looking for reasons to complain. He wouldn't even be GETTING this feud if Raven didn't request it, and Raven likely requested his friend Mitchell be involved too, so get off unless you want to accuse Raven of somehow holding him down which would be mindblowingly ridiculous...

WATTS AND JARRETT PUT IT ALL ON THE LINE! AJ STYLES AND ERIK WATTS VS. JEFF JARRETT AND ABYSS Wednesday, January 14 live on Pay-Per-View, AJ Styles and the NWA Director of Authority Erik Watts will team up in tag team action against NWA Champion Jeff Jarrett and the monster Abyss! Both sides have plenty to lose going in, as there's two very important stipulations to the match: If AJ and Watts lose, the D.O.A. must step down from his position of authority in TNA! If Jarrett and Abyss lose, AJ earns another shot at the NWA Championship! RAWHIDE WHIPPING MATCH! AMERICA'S MOST WANTED VS. REDSHIRT SECURITY The tag team that has perfected the Rawhide Whipping Match - AMW - will step foot into the squared circle this Wednesday, January 14, in a brutal leather strap match against TNA Management Consultant Don Callis' security, Northcutt and Legend! In order to get back to the NWA Tag Team Title, America's Most Wanted are going to have to get through the Redshirts! On the other hand, Northcutt and Legend are looking forward to whipping AMW raw and bloody! Straps will be connected to the ring ropes, and both teams are free to lash each other in this brutal showdown! NUMBER ONE CONTENDER MATCH FOR THE X CHAMPIONSHIP: THE FALLEN ANGEL VS. LOW KI VS. MICHAEL SHANE Immediately following Wednesday's Ultimate X2 epic bout, NWA officials signed a Triple Threat match for this Wednesday's broadcast to determine a new number-one contender. Three of the four Ultimate X2 superstars will once again face each to determine who is next in line for a shot - The Fallen Angel, Low Ki or former champion Michael Shane? Tune in this Wednesday night to find out who survives the Triple Threat Match! WHAT IS JEFF JARRETT'S "BIG NEWS"? NWATNA.com has learned from the Law Offices of Stenenbaum, Stenenbaum and Stenenbaum that Thomas T. Stenenbaum - Jeff Jarrett's personal attorney - had several conference calls with the NWA World Champion on Friday regarding the announcement of Jarrett's "big news" he has been referring to in recent weeks. Will Wednesday's TNA broadcast finally be the night Jarrett lets the world in on what he's been planning? Tune in and find out! AN ANNOUNCEMENT BY AAA OWNER/PROMOTER ANTONIO PENA! We've also learned that legendary AAA owner/promoter Antonio Pena will be on hand at this week's TNA Pay-Per-View for a very special announcement to TNA fans! This past week, fans saw footage from AAA's recent events, and in recent months TNA and AAA have been in ongoing talks to form a working relationship. What impact will Pena's announcement have on TNA and the wrestling world? Tune in and find out! SINGAPORE CANE MATCH: RAVEN AND THE SANDMAN VS. THE GATHERING (JULIO AND CM PUNK) WITH FATHER MITCHELL This Wednesday night, two Singapore Canes will be hanging from a pole as the team of Raven and the Sandman face Father Mitchell's newest proteges, Julio and CM Punk! This past Wednesday, Raven left the arena and hasn't been heard from since! However, TNA officials have booked the match and fully expect Raven to be in attendance this Wednesday to team with the Sandman against his rivals! Whoever gets to the Singapore Canes gets to use them, and without a doubt Sandman will be more than ready to unleash some hell on Julio and Punk! SIMON DIAMOND VS. DAVID YOUNG (SPECIAL REFEREE GLENN GILBERTI) Since losing the tag team gold to 3Live Kru, former champions Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger have been at odds with manager Glenn Gilberti and fellow member David Young. The tension boiled over this past Wednesday as Young cost Simon and Swinger the NWA tag team gold in a rematch against 3Live Kru! After all hell broke loose between Young and Diamond, manager Glenn Gilberti asked for a match between the two while he serves as special referee! And according to Gilberti, the superstar that loses the match is out of the group! "THE FRANCHISE" SHANE DOUGLAS VS. "PRIMETIME" ELIX SKIPPER During the Ultimate X2 match last Wednesday, Douglas and Primetime once again came to blows as Skipper attempted to keep The Franchise from interfering in the bout. As a result, NWA officials have signed the two to meet this Wednesday on Pay-Per-View! It will be the veteran Douglas against the X style of Primetime - the only question is, will the rest of the New Franchise get involved? Tune in and find out! ALL THIS AND MUCH MORE ON WEDNESDAY JAN 14 LIVE ON PPV!

Owner: The Frogurt is also cursed. Homer: [worried] That's bad. Owner: But you get your choice of topping! Homer: [relieved] That's good. Owner: The toppings contains Potassium Benzoate. Homer: [stares] Owner: That's bad.

Oh, shutup already. He got to cut 2 promos at last week's show. Ever think that maybe, the Nashville fans (and many in PPV land) aren't familiar with Punk's other work (I know, SHOCKING, that not everyone has heard of ring of honor), but are familiar with Sinister Minister from his past TNA work managing heels, thus in their eyes it gives Punk and Julio further legitimacy in their eyes through association? Oh, and I'm sure it's completely out of the realm that Raven requested for his good friend whom he enjoys working with to be involved in the storyline...

Raven and Mitchell are good friends plus Raven has expressed a willingness to work with young talent.

For those curious, in his TNA recap, Dave Meltzer says the guy under the mask was Apollo.

Is there really a question?

Please change my name back to Slapnuts! Thanks!!!

The problem, I think, is that while they KNOW this is what their audience wants, they are also desprately trying to get a TV deal, to legitimize themselves as true competition for WWE, and to do that, they feel they need to somewhat follow the "sports entertainment" format, since that's what mainstream fans/TV people know. Even though the quality of the show would improve dramatically if Watts/Callis stopped trying to be Bichoff/Austin and Jarrett stopped trying to be HHH (on screen I mean!)
-
I don't know what you're talking about. Sabin won.

Quick thoughts: -Ultimate X 2 was really good. I LOVED the spot with Lo Ki doing the dragon clutch while hanging on the wire, and the spot where he knocked someone off with a stiff kick. The stuff where they were trying to springboard and jump off chairs were really creative and added some cool psycology. The ropes were a few inches higher this time. I was waiting for a spot where someone climbs up a body pile of fallen opponents, but it didn't happen. The ladder stuff annoyed me at first, but it didn't figure into the finish since the ref was out, it makes sense for everyone to be an oppurtunist. At least as good as the first one, maybe better with less blown spots, more creative spots and no belt falling! They had that thing SECURE, I was laughing at poor Sabin tugging for everything he was worth to get the belt loose! -The rest of the show wasn't good. Way too much filler/talking/commercial like stuff and recaps. Not too much "action" tonight. Although I thought the Raven/Sandman vs. Gathering match was pretty good. Sandman is deceptively good out there. -Who was the masked man? Dustin Rhodes? His arms looked really muscular... -I'll even admit I'm getting really sick of the Red Shirts/Don Callis/Eric Watts crap and even Jarrett. Maybe time for a new sn? The potential for more Kid Kash/Abyss interactions though is only a good thing! So all in all a weak show with too much filler, somewhat saved by a real good main event.

NEW MATCH JUST ADDED: AJ STYLES AND AMERICA'S MOST WANTED VS. ABYSS AND REDSHIRT SECURITY For the first time in TNA, former NWA World Champion AJ Styles will team with America's Most Wanted in six man action! Their opponents will be the monster Abyss and TNA Management Consultant Don Callis' Redshirt Security of Northcutt and Legend! In recent weeks, both sides have been on a collision course. Styles and Abyss are no strangers, as they nearly annihilated each other a month ago, while AMW and the Redshirts recently engaged in a brutal showdown prior to the Holidays!

Jonny Fairplay close to signing... Jonny Fairplay, one of the stars of Survivor, is extremely close to signing on with NWA: TNA. Unless a major problem comes up, he should be debuting with TNA soon. Fairplay often used wrestling catchphrases on Survivor and was hoping to land a deal with WWE, but thus far WWE has not had too much interest in him. Fairplay is the former assistant of Roddy Piper. Now, is Sean Hannity a Republican or not? I guess we interpreted that differently. Under the broader context, you would be right, but I saw it as meaning Republican politicians making negative remarks (which many, many Democrats have...)

And this would be false, how?
