I did impulse buy and ended up happy with my decision. Great main event and I actually thought the opening HHH/Orton match was really good too (figure four spot!). Good to have a hot crowd, too.

WWE General Discussion - October 2007

Because it's not WWE's belt, I would guess. -
I'm home from dinner at my aunt's and even though my other friends are busy, I just realized I'm getting $100 from someone on Tuesday and am contemplating throwing some of this extra money away on a PPV impulse by. I know 24/7 won't be showing it on Cogeco due to some whack restrictions I just learned about so... yeah, I could order it and tape it, I guess. Or not, and save my money.
-
This doesn't answer your question, but in the crazy times that were 1998 I remembered hearing rumours of HHH going to WCW. During the live boradcast of this PPV, I was beginning to wonder...

Ah, so the trophies are field objects. That works. The pictures of a mole explaining that HE was a trophy confused things further. This puts it into perspective.
-
So I collect them in they appear in a gallery but also show up during gameplay, or they have nothing to do with collection trophies? This is where I am confused.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=15YA0nHpGfI I just saw this on MuchMoreRetro... pretty catchy.

So, I don't really think my collection is anything special enough to post OR take 6 photos of... but here's 6 photos of what I own anyway. Some notes: * I've traded in old games exactly once in my life adult life. Old games get you so little (for reference, I gave them SmackDown: Just Bring It in 2004 and probably got $3, if that, for it) that even crappy games that I should never have bought end up being saved (note Mania 21!). * I just noticed the staging of the 1st photo cut out four N64 games. I don't feel like re-staging it but they were GoldenEye, Zelda: OoT, Majora's Mask, and Perfect Dark. * In trying to determine why I only have 6 real PS1 games, I realized that in those days I wasn't working and rented almost everything. I also remembered one is at a friend's house and/or missing (the first Street Fighter II collection). * Not pictured: NES, Mario/Duckhunt, Dragon Warrior 1, and Darkwing Duck. Not quite sure where the 3 carts are and the NES is sotred somewhere. * Also not pictured: Arctic White GBA with Fire Pro Advanced and Super Mario World and a Game Boy Colour with Pokemon Gold. I'm not sure where any of this is right now. * Mario 64 is with the DC picture because that's where I found it. It wasn't with my N64 stuff and I thought it was missing. Speaking of the DC picture, MvC2 is at a friend's house and/or missing (same situation as above - they moved in May and I assume they brought it to their new home, but I never asked). * The last picture I just could not get a good focus on.

WO.com preview:

I believe they are helping the player that summoned the "Assist Trophy" ala Marvel vs Capcom. I don't quite get why the word "Trophy" is in there though, it's kind of misleading / confusing.

When Spence and Hogan graduate from college, life is bleak. They have to work for heinous divorce lawyers that torture them. Spence has a girlfriend from hell and Hogan just wants to start his life already. As luck would have it, our two young men are presented with an opportunity, they develop a club of young men devoted to the older woman, the "Cougar" if you will. It is this club that ultimately guides our two heroes into young adulthood. Written by Anonymous The DVD features topless menus!

I was wondering why WWE.com never mentioned it. I hate this show now. Not really, but man, the hits keep coming. I am interested in whatever the non-existent main event though.

If you mean everyone knows America placed Thanksgiving on a commercially viable date to maximize Christmas shopping profits, yes, everyone does know that. A lot of my interest for this show was shot when BDV ended up as Punk's opponent. I was hoping for Dreamer. The flip side of that is I am a mark for the Brothers of Destruction.
-
I wanted to watch this show but everyone is busy with Canadian Thanksgiving.
-
lol. Gold. So... banned for spam or retained for potential comedy?

Hey Canadians, Teletoon is showing Mask of the Phantasm right now (5-7pm) and then 8pm if you get Toonwest, then again tomorrow morning at 11am. This seemed like the best thread to inform people of that.

I actually went out of my way to not mention facebook but yeah, I'm probably on that a lot making plans and sending messages. It's actually the site I need blockednomore for at work.

I remember when I used to write user columns for WrestlingDB in 2002. I (online) know the guy running it, or did before he stopped showing up in the IRC channel dedicated to the website. I never go because a bot gives us all the links, but yeah, good site. In no particular order: 1. Youtube 2. Wikipedia 3. Penny Arcade (which despite years of hearing about I just began reading from the archives last week) 4. My bank's website (seriously could not imagine life without it) 5. Google Honourable mention goes to blockednomore.com for making work (and getting around Canadian IP blocks of Demonoid) just a bit easier.

Ugh, I'm going to SD this week too. -
I think 911 wrestled under the name "Tombstone" a few months ago on MNW (late 96 or early 97 Nitro). He jobbed to Luger.

Yes! TSM has finally hit the radar as viable enough to have a Universal employee act like a regular forum poster as a form of viral marketing. I read about people doing this for video games in EGM awhile back. I love it. I like the twist of the infiltrator admitting he's a studio employee, too.
-
Yeah, this has been brought up before because the banner is blurred on Primetime Wrestling on 24/7. It's because "Superstars of Wrestling" is trademarked by someone else. That's why it became "WWF Superstars" later.

Andy: Fire guy! *makes some hand motions* Kevin: You weren't here for that! I like the Kevin / Andy team-up.

The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread

In my BBB reply, it sounds like Mr. Brown might be a bit tired of the BBB inquiries, heh. My response does not mention the Canadian restrictions on the recent PPVs, but I guess when I made the complaint I only mentioned how frustrated I was with waiting TWO DAYS for general content updates (which has since been fixed). -
They blow so many spots in that 6 man lucha match, it's embarassing. It's hard to match up but man, if that was going head to head with La Parka vs Juvi (which was Nitro's MOTN), that's pretty funny. Dean Malenko calling out Chris Benoit is pretty weird given the effort that's been taken to remove his name. First Tony accidentally isn't edited last episode, now we have a promo about him. Maybe he's coming back.
