  1. I was hoping for 8-bit Little Mac (like the Excitebike guys). Eh, guess it's cool he got newly imaged. Edit: I checked out the rest of the Little Mac pics, he looks pretty cool in his new iteration. Also, I apparently missed this update on Wednesday since I only checked out the Meowth one.
  2. Franchise: Can you like, do something about your sig being justified to the right? It just looks weird.
  3. Yeah I'm pumped for the Raw's after that. I just hope they actually show the Ambulance one (complete with Owen and Bulldog discussing how Austin won't get away with it... twice - "again Owen!") but it's on a non-compete week.
  4. Your gems comment reminded me of a Nitro highlight - Savage calling DDP a "gemologist".
  5. I just watched the Trilogy on Sunday/Monday, too. I was bored on Sunday and was only going to watch the 1st one but damnit I need to see the conclusion of the whole story once I start.
  6. That sounds like a very professional reply by Mr. McDivett. "I want to make sure we have a way to protect folks in Georgia from the shenanigans of the WWE" also amuses me. Probably because of the word "shenanigans".
  7. I know "Hardcore Hangover" is only viewable in the US but I thought Canadians could watch Heat on WWE.com. I just don't bother because it's Heat.
  8. Skimming upcoming Raw results, I see Sid vs Mankind doesn't even happen next week (Austin is listed as a substitute). Also: Prepare for some brutal Raws (the one taped in South Africa sounds very, very boring).
  9. That segment was from the Raw 8 days after CS that I mentioned.
  10. Strange. From a build and history perspective, the Austin match makes so much more sense, especially since it had that awesome follow-up on Raw (which may or may not be shown on 24/7 - Thursday Raw Thursday set a precedent that they can show non-compete weeks in the MNW series). Plus Sid was around in the summer too for some random Raw cameo two Raws after Canadian Stampede. He was in a six-man tag at the KOTR too I think (Sid/LOD vs Owen/Bulldog/Neidhart?)
  11. Oh, speaking of that, what the hell is this business about "Sid vs Bret" at Revenge of the Taker?
  12. Yeah I figured the sprites thing made no sense with the HD thing.
  13. Yeah, they could probably use this chance to use Angel Williams Shantelle Taylor ... who do they have in development right now? Somewhat on topic, I saw pictures that made it appear Shantelle tried to buy her job back, chestily speaking. Edit: Yeah, I have no idea how to do the strike out effect.
  14. Whatever Blushus, I was just generalizing. CTP had a point. None the less, I voted "Wrestling" for Hardy/MVP.
  15. A lot of times people find something boring because they do not understand it. If Joe Mark doesn't understand why Jamie Noble vs Jimmy Yang Wang is a good match, they will chant "boring". You and I do not follow MMA enough to appreciate all the nuances of what is going on when two people are locked in the same position on the mat for 90 seconds, looking for their opening to make a strike, thus we find it boring. Not understanding something is being ignorant to it, so he's quite right on a technical definition standpoint.
  16. Well considering the match on Nitro in the tournament was awful, I could see people not caring. Crush and Savio Vega using the Demolition Decapitation (with Crush being the guy doing the jump) was a nice touch. Did anyone understand that Flair/Piper promo? What was this talk about "ending the Nasty Boys in 93"?
  17. Deleted scenes obviously means Disc 1 is a feature story.
  18. Raw was supposed to go online with JR as the announcer. USA Network put a stop to that. The timing of ECW being announced as "going online" 2 months before their TV deal is supposed to be expire seems a bit more than a coincidence, Scroby. I might be biased because by the time 12am Friday in Canada rolls around I'm in no mood to stay up until 1am to watch a show that aired days prior in the States but I think injecting storylines like Miz/Balls/Kelly and wrestlers like CM Punk into SmackDown while basically making the ECW show a non-televised net show - SmackDown's version of WWE.com Heat, which they used to have in the form of Velocity - is a good idea.
  19. I understand that people can be in the sweet science of MMA but sadly I grew up with everyone talking about the "30 minute tap dance" between Shamrock and Severn. Fixed fights - in theory - should be booked to always have something going on. Like said above, you never quite know what you're going to get action wise in a shoot. Of course, a shoot is a shoot so that's pretty damned exciting when something is happening.
  20. Apparently the NOAH episodes on The Fight Network are at Destiny 2005 right now. This episode opened with KENTA vs Kanemaru. Awesome. Edit: And now they're showing Sasaki vs Kobahsi. Awesome.
  21. What on Earth is the "WCW Women's Cruiserweight Title"? Nash's end of show nWo promos are much more interesting than Hogan's. Raw was good times, of course. Pat Patterson beating up HHH was tremendous. I noticed they kept putting over Mankind putting the mandible claw on Gerald Brisco over the weekend... was there some plan to put Patterson and Brisco in the ring?
  22. The N64 was the first system I had that made you use A/V cables as the default hook up and I had no TV capable of using those in 1996. However, you'll note just about every VCR has them, so just roll that way (Hell, I just took a look over at my upstairs TV area and noticed my N64 is STILL hooked up via VCR as the Xbox is taking up the A/V port on the back).
  23. I remember reading something (though I think it was just popular opinion, not concrete fact) that there were two things making SF IV "improbable". 1. A nice looking 2D fighter - without just recycling sprites ala the versus series - costs too much to make these days. 2. No one like the "3D" EX series. I'm hoping for 2D of course, but a 3D fighter done right - and we've come a long way since the EX days - with our favourite fighters could be pretty awesome.
  24. Nash recently stated, in some interview, that he's in better shape, physically, then he's been in his entire career, and requested to have one more run in the ring, to see "if he still has it". All I want to see of Nash is his sick powerbomb, and not much else. I'll give credit where it's due though, in 2005, he and Jeff Jarrett put on a pretty good PPV main event (I think it was the one where Billy Gunn debuted for TNA). I do recall that not being bad. Man, the days for when I had a good enough friendbase of wrestling fans interested in ordering WWE and TNA PPVs. One friend and I kinda made fun of those Jarrett vs DDP/Nash matches because one of them had Mike Tenay make the call "DDP is a Stroke away from losing this match". Old people humour is funny. I actually think the call was more "If JJ hits the Stroke DDP is done" and not as directly indirectly (?) funny as our version of the call.
