They do, though the one I had here the other day was bad (the Coke seemed flat so not the fault of the overall product, just a bad batch of fountain drink). Apparently I had the choice of ANY of the Coke products (A Strawberry Frutopia Frosty Float?!) When did US Wendy's switch to Pepsi products? That's what they had when I first had the float in Michigan.

His name is Mike SC.

I'm all for the editing of that storyline from history.

Last week's episode seems polarizing... people either love it or don't (I've seen it called both "the best of the episodes aired" and "the weakest of the season"). I'm in the weakest camp and thought last night's was much better.

Review: WWF Monday Night Raw, 3/31/97, from Peoria, Illinois.

Quick note: The music Paul Bearer came out to was that of legendary early 90s midcard act Papa Shango. -
Vader (basically) landing ON HIS FEET after attempting a moonsault is pretty damned amazing.

The Whoever / Whomever discussion wins it. "Michael's right, it's a made up word to trick students". I enjoyed seeing Michael have friends at his telemarketing job. This was an all around good episode.

"This has nothing to do with my childhood. I collect cookie jars because we had no cookie jars growing up. We had no cookie jars because mom didn't bake. Mom didn't bake because she didn't think we deserved cookies". "The jar says 'mom'" "I've always viewed it as an upside down 'wow'"

You can't ax a tiger not to turn back into a Chinese dude at midnight.

I can see this Baldwin / Buscemi interaction being pretty good.

Catalina's story was pretty good... but how much longer are we doing this jail arc? Hopefully not two seasons.

Yeah, Randy's whole thing was pretty good. I liked him punching through the safe and putting the money into some charity about sick dogs. And Commissioner Darnell.

WWE General Discussion - October 2007

Recent reports indicated Shawn was happy being in semi-retirement so it's not like he needs the job right now. I don't expect him to leave or anything but he's in a place where he can speak up for himself. -
Where and why is a Raw writer giving away in advance that Jericho might debut on Raw? Isn't that sort of thing frowned upon in WWE? Piper got booted from Cyber Sunday for telling people at a convention he was on the ballot to be a ref!

That St. Louis Legends tribute during Badd Blood was really nice and classy. I remember they did a similar thing during Unforgiven 98 with Mad Dog Vachon but this was really awesome with the newspaper clippings ("Fiesty Flair Seeks To Dethrone Race!"). Wonder why Vince did that? Also, I can totally see why people might have thought Pillman's death was some sort of sick angle (a thought the Detroit wrestling hotlines in "438 Land" were talking about at the time). I'm really not sure how I would have handled it any better, but Vince saying "For those of you that joined us on the Free for All you heard the unfortunate news about Brian Pillman passing away. We will pass on more details if we get them but that will probably not happen until tomorrow night", followed by JR immediately selling the action in the ring as if Animal getting clipped in the knee was more important. Steve Austin's shenanigans during the IC title bout were priceless. "I know you're talking trash about me, Tito!" Apparently there should be a mini's match between the opener and Godwinns vs Headbangers but it's not there. This show was pretty one sided for the heels, eh?

So I noticed it's mid-October and I haven't seen any Real Ghostbusters on Teletoon yet. "Thanks for taking the time to write to us. Unfortunately there are no plans to air The Real Ghostbusters this year. That being said, we do have a number of other Halloween shows and specials planned, so hopefully you'll find one or two others you will enjoy! Julie Benoit" No Julie Benoit, I will not enjoy a Halloween themed Totally Spies... well I might but that's besides the point. And yes, that Biff video is funny and very catchy. I'll watch it again right now!

6.0 for Shenmue sounds about right. I practically found playing the game a chore (and to the point I never even got to the "get a job driving a fork lift all day" part of the job). My choices were walk through a crowded street and bug a bunch of people for information they didn't have or play arcade games and buy collectible toys. I ended up wasting so much time NOT advancing in the game. A very noble attempt at creating a big world, though.

Wait... Cryme Tyme had two themes? As long as it starts out with "Yo yo yo..." it's all the same to me I guess.

Saw this over on Yahoo News: NEW YORK - Sony Corp. on Thursday cut the price of its PlayStation 3 game console in the U.S. and announced an even cheaper model that will arrive before the holiday shopping season. The top-line PlayStation model, with an 80 gigabyte hard drive, now costs $499, down from $599. That effectively eliminates the lower-end model, which has a 60-gigabyte drive and has sold for $499. A new low-end model with a 40-gigabyte drive will go on sale Nov. 2 for $399. Unlike the other PlayStation 3 models, the new one won't be able to play games made for the PlayStation 2. In a statement, Sony said this was due to a more extensive lineup of games of the PlayStation 3. The U.S. launch of the 40-gigabyte model was widely expected, since Sony has already announced it for Japan and Europe. It narrows the price gap with competing game consoles, but the PlayStation is still the most expensive. Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360 costs $350 and Nintendo Corp.'s Wii costs $250. The PlayStation 3 has been trailing them both in U.S. sales, and the Wii has been a breakout hit for Nintendo, with more than 9 million units shipped. Sony has sold 5 million PlayStation 3s since they went on sale in November last year. Edit: I guess Andrew already posted this in the Koatku link? I don't own a PS3 so I never come in here.

That post looks awful familiar. -
Is ECW about to end as we know it? (ECW renewed)
DrVenkman PhD replied to Jaxxson Mayhem's topic in The WWE Folder
Is it wrong of me to want them, assuming they lose the TV deal in December, to make the WWE.com show wrestling while last few episodes of the aired TV show is actually a rebirth of "Tuesday Night Titans"? Maybe it will get higher ratings! Have Okerlund and Finkle host. -
No, you're right, they definitely played it up as Bret having selfish gain (and that look he gave during the group hug was priceless) but when I first watched this 10.5 years ago it was just a great feeling to see the Hart family back together. You hear JR and Vince ponder what Stu and Helen think of all of this, but I'm glad the storyline did eventually progress to Bret just flat out reuniting his family and loving Canada and non-US countries. I also didn't realize that they were called "The Hart Foundation" IMMEDIATELY after that segment, and not even by Bret, but by the announcers. Weird. I used to have the Post-Stampede Raw on tape somewhere but I don't know where that has gone to. The promo Bret does with the Hart Foundation as they basically lay out the SummerSlam card just one day after a PPV and the super hot crowd (plus Taka vs. Great Sasuke) make it a Raw I can't wait for them to get to. Probably won't see it for 6 months though.

Well, it WAS different, I'll give it that, but it comes off as "I messed up the sig code". Not a huge deal. This seemed like the place to point it out for some reason.

My Cube controllers have loose c-sticks and I don't have a Wavebird, so holding a wireless controller old school style appeals to me. But yeah, if I have a Wavebird I would just use that.
