I post here, what do you think?
-
I'm capable of answering my own questions and don't need to make a post about it. Thank you for answering these ones.

This is the 2007 thread, folks.

Why does Vanhalen always bump incredibly old threads with nothing relevant to say? Why does Vanhalen copy Cyber Mark Madden's avatar? Why does Vanhalen do the above, but with a different resolution that makes the picture look squished? Why does he insist we take "this Saturday" for the past several months to vote for some guy named Saxon (John Saxon from Nightmare on Elm Street?) Why is Vanhalen still allowed to post here? Next time on "Why?" - razazteca.

WWE General Discussion - September 2007
DrVenkman PhD replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in The WWE Folder
Everyone loved Roberts when he was rolling the Rs in "Los Guerreros" 4 years ago. Make up your mind, internet. -
Also, "The Stalker" Barry Windham and "Blackjack Windham". That guy sure debuted a lot, eh? In fairness, Monsoon called everyone a youngster. I believe Monsoon is one of the few that actually called him Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat too just because he could.

The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread
DrVenkman PhD replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in WWE Multimedia
I e-mailed WWE this morning to say Primetime Wrestling wasn't there. I got home and went to watch the ECW show to find out I'm not missing PTW at all (but am missing the Primetime show) due to messed up upload. -
You would think the Thursday Raw that Shanw gave up the belt caused the change of plans, but in re-watching the build on 24/7, you have Sid cutting a promo on Bret and Shawn that Taker interupts to set that up, plus Bret vs Austin was a major plot point in the 97 Rumble ending.

It's funny watching Heenan debut the Big Gold Belt on Fed television (I recently watched the clip on youtube). Monsoon acts like he has no idea what that belt is but Bobby makes his usual "ice cream to hose manure" analogy, putting the belt over big. Of course that's fine, because in the WWE Canon of being in their own bubble, Monsoon would have no knowledge of what that belt is. Already mentioned, but fake win-loss (most cases lack of loss) records are annoying. Yes, "The Undefeated Snitsky" was hilarious and I think he should always be called that, but even at 10 years old and watching wrestling for no more than 6 months (7 tops), I questioned why Undertaker was being called "undefeated" in the build-up to his match with Hogan. Watching the syndies on both Canadian and American TV, I had seen more than one advertisement for Undertaker vs Ultimate Warrior in bodybag matches. People in my class had been to one of these and told me Taker lost. Keep in mind as kids in 1991 we thought these house shows were important stuff (I actually thought Warrior was going to beat Flair for the title in 1992 - I remember the Monday after that show asking a classmate if Warrior won the title and he excitedly told me "almost!" and explained how Perfect screwed him over).

I haven't figured out if he's saying people are idiots for believing such an absurd thing exists (which the way he wrote the statement, I think that IS what he's saying... but no one took him seriously) or stupid for not believing him.

Martel/Hansen is the Cominsky brawl.
-
I like the Snitsky intros to the Shorties. Sting vs Vampiro was priceless in terms of how laughably awful it was with all the "lightning" and what not. Hansen vs Martel was a nice little brawl too.
-
It is, and I alluded to that in my month preview. Also - Sting vs Vampiro is NOT a Graveyard match repeat this year. It's the Torch Match!
-
I was thinking of the 3D0 and made a typo. One of those things where I typed "3" for the name of a console and automatically typed "2X" as a follow-up. My error.
-
I was reading Nitro results trying to find matches to list as featured bouts and that's the best I could come up with. Seriously, Savage vs Iukea main evented? I'm sure if I read a full recap I'd see nWo this and Sting that, but that's not what I'm about. In fairness, I had the same problem with the March 24th Raw (Ahmed vs Savio is the listed main event).

I thought the show had some strong nerd humour.

This makes no sense at all. "Yeah, this PC game is great and all, but it was probably really easy for the developers to make. It's console cousin probably took hours more to make so it's a well crafted work or art and much better" - that's my interpretation of you statement. I'm all for respecting the time it takes people to develop games but when I'm in the middle of playing it, the important part is whether I'm having fun with it and don't really care about development issues. This is ignoring the fact that you're also just assuming PC developers just randomly make games with insane specs without taking the time to consider how to make the game available to a broader amount of users.

I remember SSFII getting "more of the same" comments for the SNES but SSFII: Turbo getting rave reviews for the 3DO (obviously NOT the 32X).
-
I'll go through the Sunflower schedule and post a week by week schedule, unless someone else wants to do it this month. Looking forward to Hardcore Heaven, the 1992 MSG show, and of course The Hart Foundation.

I like how Rainn Wilson's character in the Nike / US Women's Soccer Team commercials is named "Jim Mike".
-
I remember going to a focus group for Everybody Hates Chris in July 2005 at MGM. Someone wrote "it should be funnier". I had never heard of this show but I see it's on between Met Your Mother and 2.5 Men, so why not.

FOX Sunday Night - 2007/2008 Season

28 posts and no one called me out on the fact I apparently forgot what year it was when I made this topic. Edit: Thanks, HTQ.
