I still remember my friend and I playing it just about straight though, getting to the ending, and simply dropping our controllers and walking away when that travesty of an ending came up. Of course, it helped that we couldn't understand a damn thing the Gravemind was saying, so it's scenes we're pretty much lost on us. Strange; I actually caught just about everything Gravemind said. Anya was bitching about the sound mixing, but except for one cutscene I didn't really notice any major problems. According to Male Host on AOTS a few minutes ago, the composer of the Halo theme admitted it's not mixed right (which is why it blew out Male Host's speaker). Anyone watching the 4 Hour Halo 3 Countdown on G4? Because I sure as Hell won't be. Now, a 4 hour Mario Galaxy countdown show? I'd be there.

The Vaudville guys should still be around Other good gags: "Asteroid" field, "Hell is probably where he is since Christian's don't look too fondly on the whole 'force' thing", and "A long time ago but somehow in the future", among others. -

I think it might have been interesting to see what would have happened in Canada if WCW and WWE aired on different networks at the same time. I would imagine Nitro (especially during the Hart Foundation era) would not have fared well here. I don't remember much about specific Nitro episodes due to their odd aiting schedule on TSN. At this point in the MNW, I believe TSN is still airing Raw's first run at 12am eastern for 2 hours (edited to 90 minutes when real sports run long) with the replay that the school kids watched being 4pm on Tuesday, so Nitro would be airing Wednesday afternoon in Canada. A lot of weeks I just didn't bother watching a full Nitro. -
FOX Sunday Night - 2007/2008 Season

Well that's what I thought it was originally, but then I assumed that was some guy named Tai based on the credits. Now I don't know what to think. I'm sure I'm just being retarded and deciding the obvious joke was really something else due to the amount of references Seth likes to cram in there for 3 people to get. -
Hey pbone amused me. Well done.

I didn't get that TIE fighter joke but apparently the pilot was some guy named Danny Tai (making an assumption based on the credits). The episode also made me realize how I now expect large explosions to have giant rings come out of them, but since they were going by the original release version, no giant explosion rings were found. -

King of the Hill was pretty good. Simpsons was ok but I expect better when Colbert is involved in something. Family Guy... I liked it, and really liked it at the beginning, but by 9:35 or so it began to drag (maybe this was about the time the writer's decided Herbert singing a song is funny ala his other not very funny song in a previous episode). Picked up again at the end though. Loved the Girswald family cameo. I thought the funniest thing was the Dr. Who in Hyperspace joke, or maybe the Robot Chicken conversation at the end. -
Stop bumping multiple old threads (and we're talking YEARS old with you) for no god damned reason.

The European Raw with Owen vs Bulldog getting a 1.9 compared to the Nitro with one of the worst segments in history getting a 3.X pretty much shows that WCW's 1996 momentum could not be stopped - the best booked Raw with the most star power and the best matches would still have lost to a 1997 Nitro (case in point: MSG Raw in September 97 - I don't recall what Nitro was doing that night but to me, Cactus/HHH and Austin stunning Vince should have taken the night) whether there were shades of gray or not. In something that perhaps WWE of 2007 could learn a lesson form, 1997 was about BUILDING the momentum, not sprinting ahead. They gave their storylines and characters time to develop despite losing the ratings war, but by the time WrestleMania XIV rolled around, it was the talk of my high school (and, note on that, Raw didn't win a ratings victory until AFTER that hugely successful PPV). -

If everything in Blue Harvest is on par with how funny that "trying to make an MPEG" scene is, we have a winner tonight. -
Tonight is the season premier for Simpsons (rumours say Plopper appears, Stephen Colbert also provides a voice), King of the Hill (12th season!), and Family Guy (1 hour Star Wars special). I assume American Dad joins the fun next week, then we probably go all of October without a thing due to baseball play-offs.

Damnit Marvin, I can't go fix my typo now.

Austin gives up to the Sharpshooter in possibly the worst Hart/Austin match you'll ever see on the Coliseum release "World Tour 1996". spman gave me that tape as a gag... it's AWFUL. Anyway, though I was way off on my guesing how many people had access to the Coliseum tapes Smack Em Wack Em / Most Unusual Matches, by 1996 I'm pretty sure about 20 people tops were able to find this tape so I can forgive them for acting like the match doesn't exist.

She had a match at Survivor Series 99 and gave did a drunken oppening bout ring announcing gig at Backlash 2000 (which happened to have an Austin appearance) but yeah, I think she mostly stayed home with Steve until he came back (at which point she became the Deputy of SmackDown or some such with Sherrif Mick Foley).

I think 20 cents Canadian is worth 20 cents American about now, actually.

The Wellness Plan should have caught Teddy's hart problem.

Trevor Murdoch's formal wear was something. I love Godfather cameos.

I just saw a commercial for the DVD release of "Bloodrayne 2". Didn't even have a clue that was being made, even for DTV. And it's apparently going to be followed by a 3rd! I miss the days of "Mortal Kombat".
-
I seem to recall it being mandated by an authority figure, either Regal or Vince. It didn't add a thing to the Austin/Rock feud and was pretty silly, so it was dropped quickly after.

HHH worked his ass off in that Flash Funk match. German Suplex! -
Hearing how lousy BA was without ever watching it made me skeptical of this, but it was well worth watching.

I've only watched 40 minutes but so far, I like it. as was the "What is your real name?" / "Kal-El!" joke (and callback shortly after). I had accidentally read , but even knowing it was coming didn't make it any less surprising to see. Edit: And is awesome.

According to a radio transmission I heard, Wal-Mart will be doing a midnight sale with "loads of copies to go around" with a check-out lane devoted just to people buying Halo 3.
