The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread
DrVenkman PhD replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in WWE Multimedia
King's blog review indicates the full version was aired. Last year when the 2006 PPVs were airing on par with Koch's DVD releases of them, I had this suspicion that the reason Cogeoc didn't have them was licencing issues. Then they started suddenly showing up starting with SummerSlam 2006 and then stopped after Royal Rumble 2007. Strange. No reason the PYBO's should be restricted though. Hopefully that gets turned around. As I said in my above letter, things have been going great lately other than the strangeness of missing / mis-titled ECW shows, PPVs, and PYBOs. -
God I am STILL laughing this morning for all the above mentioned reasons ("Brah" being my favourite, "Make a U-turn if possible" being my 2nd favourite) plus more. I could not stop laughing during the boardroom scene whenever the "Where's The Beef?" photo was in view. I liked the Big photo too. "What is this?" "It's a ferrel barn cat to replace the one I destroyed! And his name is Garbage! Mose called him that because he eats garbage".

I missed Earl because I was working until 8 and fell asleep before the 11pm west coast feed airing. Yesterday was also the first time I watched a full episode of 30 Rock... I GUESS I'll watch it again for the sake of nothing else being on between Earl and The Office (falling right into that damn network trap) but based on that episode, it seems the show would be so much better if it were about Alec Baldwin and not Tina Fey's character's relationship and woman issues I'm not interested in. The line "tell her to lose 30 lbs or gain 60, there's no place in TV for anything inbetween" got a good laugh from me as did Jerry turning his head slightly to look right into the camera to say the date Bee Movie was coming out.

Why do you still post in/read this folder?

Same reason I've worked for the same so-so job for 5 years (not counting going up the corporate ladder into management): I have to work SOMEWHERE, and by now goign to work somewhere else would throw everything I've established myself to be and starting from scratch on the ground floor. I have to state my useless opinions somewhere and get feedback from other people, so it might as well be the same place I've been going since 2002. No need to start over from the bottom of senoirity on a new board. Plus on a new board, I haven't already won a tournament bracket to award me with the 4th best poster trophy. -
I think he's mocking WWE's editing of him from history. Or being dumb, either or.

I like Chimmel's bio picture holding the ECW mic on WWE.com -
"I expect you to treat me the same way you treated Jan"

Yes, last episode was the Unofficial Heel-turn Post Cage Match rant, now the post Mania offical "American fans are disrespectful" heel turn speech. I fell alseep after that promo (too many work hours this week!) and woke up to a Steiners / Amazing French Canadians match.

The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread

My most recent e-mail to the 24/7 Department which I expect to resolve nothing, but I made it a bit more thorough than usual: "This is hardly a new issue (been going on for months), but once again Cogeco Cable in Windsor, Ontario, Canada is not putting up (possibly not receiving?) the 2007 PPV events in the Big Ones section. They had been showing them fine up until Royal Rumble 2007, so I do not know what the problem here is. On another note, since I sent an e-mail here and to Cogeco in reference to a complaint I saw someone file against 24/7 to the Better Business Bureau where the response from the 24/7 programming director was that the cable companies need to manually load the content in these cases, I have had very little content problems (everything shows up at 12:00 am instead of slowly filtering in over 48 hours). The only issues have been the above mentioned recent PPVs missing, never getting the Pick Your Big One, and recently not getting the ECW shows (I didn't get the episode 3 weeks ago at all, last week's episode plays Prime Time Wrestling instead). I am happy to see things going smoother, but I would be even happier if Cogeco would start showing the recent PPVs and PYBOs. Hopefully this issue between 24/7 and my cable company can be resolved. I appreciate any steps taken to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance, Stephen Gray" -
I'm assuming he's referring to the energy sword but I've only really ever played split screen multi-player at a friends house with the 1st one and a bit with the second one. I played online with H2 once or twice but I'm not very good. The shield mechanic comes in handy in the solo campaign.

Camping is incredibly boring but if that's how people wish to roll, then so be it. The intended purpose (and removal of archiac medpaks, as Anya said) of the shield is great.

Sounds about right, but that was months later. Oh btw, Happy Birthday BL.

Some local morning radio host just made a joke that caused me to laugh inappropriately in my office. "*discussing Hulk Hogan being the host of the new American Gladaitors*" "And I thought Chris Benoit ended his career on a low note" -
In 1997, I think I thought HBK called Bret a "marked man", but I had also just learned the term "mark" so I was questioning what he said. That is a bizarre promo, though. It is a good promo from Bret but it is a bit long and could have been cut down, though "I think it was a gay magazine" is still funny, but HBK's part is just plain weird. Who is he of all people to make a "shoot" comment about Bret refusing to job titles? I don't ever recall that being a problem with Bret around this time.

"That scene was full of scientific inaccuracy" "Yes... I know men can't really fly" "No, let's assume that they can.... (followed by metal arm + velocity of fall rant)". Pure gold.

When is Lashley due back from injury? If it's this fall he's probably as good as a future WWE champion. -

I wonder if Hogan is on the phone with Vince trying to bury the current hatchet in the E's time of need / his chance to score a world title. -
I disagree. The lifebar / shield mechanics of the Halo series is probably my favourite series innovation.

No Mercy being on the weekend of Canadian Thanksgiving pretty much guarantees I won't find anyone available to watch it. Too bad too - I'm interested in the WWE title situation (though I'm sure Orton just ends up with it), Umaga vs HHH looks promising after the brawl on Raw, Finlay vs Rey should be good, and Khali vs Batista in the Prison has amusing trainwreck written all over it. -
Haha, Cavemen in normal clothes look funny! Also, I hate this. I have it on as background noise / curiosity on the Seattle feed and it just seems to exist without a point. I liked seeing the guy from the commercial but it sucks he's not the focal point (which is pretty sad when you think about it). I do like the guy from Grandma's Boy / Blades of Glory, though.

Warrior and Taker did bodybag matches. Pretty much the same concept but technically not a casket match.

I obviously don't the edict in front of me to know the exact rules, but my understanding was as follows: Top turnbuckle SSP to opponent laying on the mat = bad due to injury issues (same for the 450). Running SSPs (either in the ring where you don't get much height and have more control or in this case, diving at a person standing up) are a-ok. London and Kendrick have used Paul jumping on Brian's back and doing a SSP at least twice to win a match. -
Subscription expired and no 360.

Ooooh, 24/7 Online gets the Chamber of Horrors in a glorious 750k stream October 15th along with Wrestling Hotbeds: Mexico, Rock vs Hurricane, and other stuff. This episode of History of the IC title sounds really good, too. I'm watching Raw #3 right now... it seems bizarre that it starts with a notice about it being pre-recorded. Why would Vince admit that? Almost all wrestling was pre-recorded, it seems a bit weird to just up and say it.

I forgot about the sarcasm sign. Gold.
