It should be the January 27th edition this Wednesday (which falls under the June theme), followed by the February 3rd episode on June 13th. June 27th will be the February 17th episode (they skip non-compete weeks so goodbye 10th) but that will probably be the official beginning of the July schedule.

We all say pop here (Southern Ontario). The long standing myth is "pop" is some Canada exclusive term and it's known as only soda in the US (I think we believed this because Family Feud on the PC didn't understand our "pop" answer) despite the fact Faygo's strawberry brand is "Red Pop". Is it just a Michigan / Midwest thing then? I have had some Americans I spoke with online not understand the term pop (or understand it but call it ridiculous and/or stupid).

For the record I'm aware of the reasons why Sonic CD lacks some of the refinements from Sonic 2, but that doesn't make it better. I'm also repeating myself from the original Sonic Gems thread (remember when games had their own threads?).

Well, I'm not doubting there are circles that probably dislike Sonic CD (and I don't blame them), the mainstream gaming media has been consistently declaring it the best Sonic game since it was released (I believe EGM just made this statement again recently). This is in spite of the fact that: 1. It lacks the refinement Sonic 2 had over Sonic 1 - Tails, the speed dash, and the REAL reason Sonic 2 is the greatest Sonic game - the Vs mode race (Sonic 3 really blew it on that one, btw). 2. Time travel is a useless gimmick. 3. Sonic 3 IS good. I know you have some bizarre policy that "If it ain't broke, fix it, because more of the same - even when the same is great - is terrible" (or that's what I picked up in your psudo-bashing of Twilight Princess) that somehow doesn't carry over to a repetitive series about a caveman that bonks his head on things, but that doesn't mean Sonic 3 is overrated. Yes, I just said the Vs. Racing sucks compared to Sonic 2, but the graphics are better, the levels look nicer, the boss fights are more enjoyable, it kind of has a story, Knuckles is a fine character addition, and the ability to gain special attacks based on the elemental shields is awesome. The only people I could possibly see bashing this game are people that don't count (internet people like me) or people that just recently got into gaming and don't know that they're supposed to be enamoured in the hype that is "SONIC CD - GREATEST SONIC EVER". So, in conclusion, I would have to say Sonic 2 - Sonic 3 - Sonic CD - Sonic and Knuckles (which was literally more of the same of Sonic 3, not an upgrade that improved upon play mechanics) - Sonic 1.

How on earth is Sonic CD underrated? It is possibly the most overrated game in the Sonic franchise.

The Judgment Day / Roundtable thing is a bit of an oddity. It seems, more than any other programs before, a LOT of systems are missing that. They are also not listed on the website I got next week's update schedule (see the June thread).

flairfan, do you mean the channel or the website? I don't have artifcating problems with 24/7 On Demand with the exception of programs over 3 hours (then it gets questionable near the end) or when I fast forward and then hit play (a general problem with our OnDemand system).

I don't want to call this "alarming", but the fact that Johnny Nitro was paired with Miz in a tag team battle royal, is usually put in matches on Raw as enhancement talent, and didn't even have Melina bring him to the ring when teaming with Kenny Dykstra of all people really speaks volumes about how fast his star fell within the company, which is a shame.

The problem with the 3 hour specials is they often use that time to waste it, figuring that since they have 44 extra minutes of showtime, they can make non-wrestling segments go on forever.

So how about that 3 hour Raw on June 11th, eh?

I can only imagine how a season of the Legends show would be if they brought Heyman in to do them (hey, he has to earn his pay somehow right?). Ross, Heyman, Bischoff, Dusty, and Hayes. That would be good.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt for thinking it was fake the first time - how would you know it was a picture I took and put on a facebook album? I'm not sure why you'd think anyone would mock such a fakery up (again, I point out it's hardly relevant, just something I saw and liked). WWM did know that though so he and I did some perhaps unfair / perhaps fair mocking of you calling it fake, especially with my EXTREME EXAGGERATION of how I faked the picture.

Ok just to recap the conversation between WWM and I that was subtely pointing out that I took the picture - I TOOK THE PICTURE. The building is on Canal in NYC street with that big ass painted on ad. I had no idea taking a picture of something video game related (but fairly irrelevant) I found interesting and sharing it would open up such a bag of worms. Way to go, 108 posts.
