  1. Funniest thing I've seen all day. Edit: I watched the previously posted Hogan Japanese Air Conditioner commercial, so the above is now only the 2nd funniest thing I've watched today.
  2. I would counter and say Edge (while not on Raw) is probably the most consistent worker in the E right now, but that would just bring on the surprisingly high (as in, more than zero) number of Edge haters who think he has no business in the main event scene.
  3. It's what we've all been waiting to show up on youtube... PHANTASIO! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSWGSe0nB7g I think I'll just link to the guy all the videos are coming from, easier that way: http://www.youtube.com/profile_videos?user...and1987&p=r
  4. There seems to be too much real talk in here for me to suggest the Carmen Sandiego theme song by Rockapella.
  5. Check out one DAMON STRIKER on WCW Pro! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GgyP1zffVg http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtPNM3JqbQ0 Note: What the hell is with that hood Meng is wearing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ziqNNEUf8A Hardys vs Rockers II Edit: Somehow missed that KKC already posted that first one.
  6. Watch a Raw from 98/99 and then a recent Raw or SmackDown episode (maybe not like, within the past 2 weeks recent, but over the past few months). Watch Backlash 07 then watch Unforgiven 98 or Backlash 99 . Rose coloured nostalgia glasses aside, the idea that the product is (from an overall standpoint, just not big ratings and the like) better now than it was in 98/99 isn't the most absurd idea you presented. Can't lump 2000 in though, that was some good stuff.
  7. AVGN on the 32X is incredibly funny and informative. I had no idea that thing required separate cables AND it's own power source. I just assumed it worked like Sonic and Knuckles.
  8. Joey: I don't think Dreamer even had a chance to wear the belt. Tazz: It's not a belt, it's a "championship". Come on Joey you know better. I love the way they host.
  9. Hitting a 520 foot homerun felt like quite the accomplishment today.
  10. They've sinced changed it to say "Follow the evolution of the ladder match and how it has come to be one of the most popular professional wrestling matches today. From the earliest ladder matches through Table, Ladders & Chairs matches and the 6-man Money in the Bank WrestleMania tradition..." like the previously posted Amazon.com synopsis.
  11. Here is what it sounds like we'll have on May 30th when the June schedule starts (and I emphasize, STARTS, with more to follow in the weeks after): TV Classics: Monday Night War - January 27, 1997 NWA - September 7, 1985 CWF - August 8, 1984 Tuesday Night Titans - November 22, 1985 Big Ones: ECW Anarchy Rulz 1999 Boston Gardens - November 1, 1986 Legends: Gorilla Monsoon HoF piece. Monsoon vs. Blackjack (don't know which one) Monsoon vs. Lou Albano ECW Bloodsport (Disc 1) Shorties ("I Quit" theme): Douglas vs Pitbull #1 Ric Flair vs Mick Foley The Rock vs Mankind Jerry Lawler vs Terry Funk Tully Blanchard vs Magnum TA Free Previews section: WWE 24/7 June Flair/Funk Boston Gardens MNW 2/3/97
  12. So in playing things that aren't bowling (the only thing I ever played for any length of time before owning a Wii), I now see I don't have a steady holding and aiming grip with the wii remote. I guess I'll keep training with WiiPlay shooting gallery (love the Duck Hunt references).
  13. I just noticed last night that the ECW show is listed as 94 minutes. Is this a clock mistake by my cable company or do Tazz and Joey have a really (really) long conversation?
  14. The tin is pretty snazzy.
  15. You got it GQ. I saw a building in Chinatown in NYC with nothing on it, asked some people selling Shrek 3 on DVD to paint me a big picture and bam, big ol fake GTA IV ad.
  16. The magic is gone.
  17. Yeah, two weeks is a long time on the Netclock. I was also gone 2.5 weeks and never intended to stay gone, but I noted it anyway. While you may not have INTENDED to leave, you did say "Winning this [2007 Poster Tournament] is clearly the most I can accomplish here. Time to go win over a new forum" or something similar, followed by 2 weeks of nothing. I always assumed your original comment was tongue in cheek, but after 10 days you begin to wonder...
  18. That intro is awesome. I think my local Fox affiliate dumped the show by the time this intro was airing but I'm not sure... I can't say I remember it. The only one I actually do remember is the one where you have a moving POV shot in some magenta and purple space field while lasers go by. If I didn't know that HHH's character was a blue blood I would have definitely thought the lyric was "BUTT is blue", but then again I often make malapropisms with song lyrics. I'm sure if I had been watching wrestling in 1990, THIS intro would have been burned in my mind forever: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79soWkXEJ1k
  19. I nominate Matt Young and Ortonsault.
  20. That's the whole balancing trick. JR making an off the cuff remark about US champions is not news. It is quite literally a comment that doesn't warrant a thread, bordering on "Comment that doesn't warrant a comment".
  21. Not in reference to you because it might end up legit, but I love that a forum founded on pro wrestling has so many fake retirements. Marvin, Czech, Me, Leena - and that's just since March (or whenever Marvin did his whole act - January? Late 2006?) See you in a few weeks, KOAB.
  22. 3L for 99 cents at finer Dollar Tree stores across Michigan (probably several stores really), about the same - $2 (usually closet to the 1.50 mark) at convenience stores in Canada that aren't Macs or 7-11.
  23. I can't wait for the gradual relaxation of the whole CTDWAT situation to cause pages of threads like "JR says something dumb", "King says something irrelevant", "What's the deal with the skittles", "OMG an MMA group sponsors WWE", "Individual House Show results", "Recap of Steve Austin on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet", "Recap of Steve Austin on Regis and Kelly", "Recap of Elijah Burke on Craig Ferguson", "New shopzone items", and so on. CTDWAT just makes everything look too streamlined and easy to find.
