¡Soy un artefacto loco de asno! (which re-translated means "I am a crazy appliance of burro!" instead of "I am one crazy ass gimmick")
-
Miz vs Tatanka should blow everything else on the show away.

I didn't realize Judge #3 was being serious, I thought that was playful "in joke" banter. Too bad too, from what I saw it seemed Jericho did much better in his second go. I think the lame first song killed him out of the gate, leaving him unable to reach his true potential. Who would do such a thing to him?
-
That post is a bit messed up though. Why so much empty space between a random alien picture?
-
No doubt... he even said that beforhand. Whoever that last judge was summed it up well.
-
Jericho is awful at this... so awful CityTV in Canada had to stop the broadcast.
-
Agreed. The original IC title didn't look too hot to me, but I assume the well known version (same style as ECW tag titles) is being discussed. That is one of my favourite titles. ORIGINAL Intercontinental championship (as best I can tell):

Leah is one hot 45 year old. Jericho is the WWE champ?
-
I hate shows like this but have curiosity in seeing Jericho, so it's on. And in one of those "hate to admit it" things, I like this song Carly Patterson is singing.

http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwe247/prog1006 for anyone interested in the October 24/7 schedule. The Legends roundtable show debuts and the "Shorties" theme is Halloween based, including "Snakes on a Warrior" and Papa Shango making him puke.

Fine, but Vince's thought process is people do. I guess we will see. -

I think the idea is people want to see Sabu brutalize Heyman. -
"We're looking for live reports from last night's Raw in Atlantis City" Best Meltzer typo since Batista injured himself while "jobbing" (jogging).
-
I e-mailed Meltz to ask if he felt the Lita/Trish angle was a shot at him, he responded "yep".

Matt's Mailbag for 8/29 By Matt Hardy August 29, 2006 Since his arrival in World Wrestling Entertainment, Matt Hardy's daredevil antics and never say die attitude have made him one of the most popular Superstars of all time. WWE Fans have supported Matt through thick and thin. Through the emotional events in his personal life to his amazing triumphs in the ring, the fans and Matt Hardy have always stood together. WWE.com is happy to announce that starting this Tuesday and every week thereafter, Matt will take your questions and answer them in a special feature called Matt's Mailbag. Have a question for Matt? You can send them to him by clicking HERE. Without further ado... Welcome to Matt's Mailbag. Matt, I've always wanted to know, what do you keep in the cargo pockets of your wrestling gear? - Ryan from Fairfield, CT Actually, there is one thing that I always keep in my cargo pockets while wrestling: my hair tie (if I'm not wearing it, that is). If I am wrestling and my hair is down, you can rest assured that my hair tie is in my pocket. After thinking about it, maybe I should start carrying foreign objects in my pocket and illegally improve my win-loss record. Matt, If you could wrestle anyone on either ECW or RAW, who would it be? -Eric from Morgantown, W. Va The person I would love to wrestle most from Raw would be Torrie Wilson, and from ECW, Kelly Kelly. Wow, that question was easy, lol. In all seriousness, the person from Raw I would most like to wrestle would be The Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. Shawn is the guy who paved the way for guys like my brother and I. From ECW, I would like to wrestle Sabu just because he is so different and unorthodox. I would love to go "Extreme Rules" with the homicidal, genocidal, suicidal one. Hey Matt, Do you have any lingering injuries from your years of high-flying matches? - Sam from Houston, TX I actually have several nagging injuries from my high-flying matches and high-impact style. To begin with, my left knee that was reconstructed still nags at me and will never be 100% again. I have several bone chips and ligament and tendon damage in my left arm. I can't fully straighten or bend my left arm because of these aggravating injuries. My right ankle has been sprained and torn and damaged so much that it always needs to be taped and braced for me to wrestle. I've had three broken noses which leads to me sometimes having breathing and sinus problems. My lower back has to be constantly massaged and worked on if I'm wrestling a heavy schedule. It can quickly become tight and painful if I don't take care of it. I'm sure the thousands of legdrops I've done off the ropes haven't done my lower back any favors. Dear Matt, As you know, you're pretty popular with the ladies. What’s the best thing a female fan ever gave you? - Lisa from Pittsburgh, PA Incredible, pulse-pounding, heart-racing, animalistic sex…just kidding, kinda. The best gifts I've received include a DVD player, a purchased star that has been officially named after me, and a very expensive watch. One of the best gifts I ever received in a strange way was a vile of a blood. It came with instructions to mix with my blood so I could become soul mates with this girl. Yeah right... The best gifts that I get from any female fan though, is their support and love. Matt, Do you have a favorite food you like to eat on the road? - Tom from Plattsburgh, NY My favorite road meal is served at the Cracker Barrel. The six-piece grilled chicken tenderloin dinner (honey mustard dipping sauce on the side) with a house salad (ranch on the side), baked apples, and cottage cheese. I like to kick off the festivities with a bowl of chicken tortilla soup. While I'm waiting on my food, I'm usually whipping someone's ass on the "Scrabble" game on my cell phone. Dear Matt, I've been a huge fan for a long time now and I was wondering, would you ever consider cutting your trademark long hair? -Jen from Knoxville, TN Yes. You can't stay the same and look the same forever. I'm positive we will one day see the short-haired Matt Hardy again. What kind of haircut do you guys think would look good on me? A mohawk like the Reject? A caesar like Ken Kennedy? A bald head like Stone Cold? A scruff cut like Gregory Helms? A roundabout like the Hulkster? You guys give me some feedback and I'll take it into consideration... Matt, What’s your favorite city in your home state of North Carolina to wrestle in? - Tim from Greenville, SC My favorite city in North Carolina to wrestle in would have to be Fayetteville. It's the closest city to my house, and it's where Jeff and I first won the WWE World Tag Team titles, which I hold dear to my heart. Honorable mentions go to Raleigh and Southern Pines. Raleigh is 45 minutes from my house, and was the site of the first-ever TLC Match. Southern Pines, in the National Guard Armory, is where I used to promote the majority of my OMEGA (Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts) independent wrestling shows. There are so many great memories from that location and era that included so many later-to-be WWE superstars. Myself, Jeff Hardy, Shannon Moore, Gregory Helms, Joey Mercury, and Joey Abs all shared many great moments in the Southern Pines Armory.

Change "Dynamite Kid" to "Kurt Angle" and you have a modern WON story right there.
-
Excellent read, well done sir. Vince and Bruno vs Ventura and Davis rumoured for Mania 3? Now THAT would have been something...
-
Well... If I had... to... pick a favourite... IC title bout... hmm.. well... hey, let's say... Bulldog vs Bret... Hart... from SummerSlam 92. Favourite... of course Steamboat/Savage from Mania III is an all time classic... IC champ? Without thinking too much... about it.... hmm... Mr.... Perfect.

So I watched the Foley-Territoty "shortie" on 24/7. It seemed barely about him, which was cool since that made the main focus a bit of a nice surprise. It was really about Chris Candido killing Boo "Balls Mahoney" Bradley's cat with a top rope legdrop and Foley and Boo having a funeral for it. There was a short match in there prior to the cat killing. Good ol SMW fun. Some guy dressed as the red Power Ranger briefly showed up in the ring for some reason as well.

First TNN Raw had a replay.
-
There's an awful lot of talk (as in a few comments on page 1 about Nash and the above ramblings) about the nWo. Did I miss something? I thought that Survivor Series was a confirmed hoax? Did bob_barron lead me down the wrong path?

I'm probably not goign to renew my Observer subscription when the current one runs out (last envelope had a 3 on it and I believe it was the last of the set, and this weeks sounds like a double issue, so I have at least 6 more, unless he keeps double-issuing... and I know next week's will be one too thanks to Angle). I really do enjoy it, but honestly I am getting tired of it arriving Thursday or even Friday - days after the net is a buzz with WON conversation. Of course, I told myself this last time too and my last two issues arrived on time on Monday, causing me to change my mind. The point of all this is when that day comes, I will be really appreciating this thread, so an in-advance "well done, sir" to you, HTQ. JR said "belt" on Raw tonight. Hope he doesn't get yelled at. Will JR (assuming he hasn't already) ever reach the level where he can just say whatever he wants (ala Gorilla Monsoon repeatedly calling The Dragon "Ricky Steamboat" when they were trying to phase that name out - or so I've heard)?
-
- The Claudio Castegnoli cameo as a police officer was fun stuff. - How many times did JR say "This is (adjective) than (whatever)"? Example would be the first one about something being stupider than James Gandolfini not getting an Emmy nomination, then he said something about Deadwood, then he called something thicker than Lawler's black book. I enjoyed it, to be honest. - During the Lita/Mickie match when JR/King kept getting on Lita's case for leaking such sensitive news without letting Trish reveal it first, I couldn't help but think that was some shot at Meltzer. - Fun fact: Because something is common knowledge to forum nerds like us doesn't mean the other 4 million people watching at home know. Yes, WE find it odd that the show (which for crying out loud peple, is just a show) would make a story point out of something shocking that all of us already knew, but I guarantee you none of my wrestling fan friends and co-workers that don't activley persue news on the net knew a thing about Trish leaving. - To contradict my "it's just a show" comment and nitpick about something, wouldn't Edge have been smarter to declare his match with Cena to be immediatley after he hit him with a chair and ladder and drove him through a table? - Just say no to drugs.

All you need to know: Sagas is awful.

oAo ECW on Sci-Fi Week 12 Thread - 8/29/2006
DrVenkman PhD replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Man UTSU, you hadn't taken cheap shot at S_D since being unbanned. Seriously, where the hell was the comment even from, UTSU? Sure I did some ranting about threads being started early, but S_D backed up his reasons and Linday Lohan mark there claims he's never started a show thread more than a day early, so clearly I was ranting about nothing (or someone else and I can't think of who). So basically, you picked a meaningful thread to point out past meaningless for no apparent reason. Brilliant. Anyway... Yes, with Heyman "wrestling", you would naturally assume the Big Show will be the one really involved. I don't really care if this causes a DX crossover because frankly this was revealed as ECW-INO 12 weeks ago, but it would be uncessary. Maybe we'll finally get the reveal of security being the Bashams instead.
