  1. *BREAKING NEWS* Internet fans said that Benoit's shit was the most technically sound one since the one by Ric Flair almost 15 years ago. They then proceeded to give Chris Benoit the title of "God of Shit" and demanded he go over at WrestleMania. More details forthcoming.....
  2. The Intercontinental Title earlier this year. It would have meant so much more for the return of the title if they would have waited a month, and decided to base Bad Blood around an Intercontinental Title tourney. But, of course, they hot-shotted the title to Christian in a stupid battle royal, and nobody really cared. As for this battle royal, I kind of liked it. They should have never promised the Lesnar title shot tonight though, unless they wanted a WHOLE bunch of unhappy fans. They could have easily had the same result, just without screwing over the people.
  3. Well.....nice way to screw over the fans and disappoint them. BAIT AND SWITCH~! = HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THE WWE FANS!!
  4. ......what the hell is up with those turkey clips?
  5. I think it's more obvious that this is about money. Most see Jackson as a bottomless pit worth of cash, and want in on it. Perils of fame. UYI I thought this was just a criminal case, and they didn't even file for civil court yet. In that case, then this couldn't be about money. You think....possibly......Michael Jackson could have done something wrong ?!?! And possibly needs to be punished for it ?!?! You can't say it's obviously about money anymore because a) I don't believe this case has gone to civil court AND b) Michael Jackson just isn't that rich anymore. If you're going to sue anybody, most people would be smarter and sue someone with a little more money. Considering they were so close to Jackson, I would think they would know he wouldn't have too much money to give to them. It's possible that the guy DID do something horrible. Don't shut out all evidence and possibilities that he committed a crime, just because you're a fan.
  6. *sigh* So naturally, RVD is on Raw. It remains to be seen whether Kurt would ACTUALLY request to drop the title to RVD. People can talk awfully big if the chance of a certain event happening is near zero. But the thought is good, as are his comments about Van Dam. I don't know if it was Angle's intention, but he completely showed what is wrong with Raw. While one guy with huge fan support would be a champ on Smackdown, he is pretty much ignored and placed with a secondary title on Raw. But oh well, it's not anything the typical internet wrestling fan didn't know by now. Still, this idea of RVD being on the ENTIRELY wrong brand at this point for career improvement is depressing.
  7. Idiot. All he needed to say was "Everyone on the message board was saying some made up, wild stories, so I decided to do the same." Apologize for what he said, convince them that it's entirely false, take some of the jokes that came with it, and move on. His family probably had their doubts on the truthfulness of the story, but if he just exploded and confessed right away, then it was immediately confirmed. All he needed to do was deny, deny, deny. Either way, still pretty damn funny
  8. Daddy Day Care was actually pretty profitable. The budget was around $60 million, but it wound up making about $105 million U.S. and $50 million overseas. Didn't do bad at all.
  9. <--------- Misses *scratches head and leaves*
  10. You forgot to bold the Wedding Planner
  11. I expect "Haunted Mansion" to go #1 next week, possibly earning somewhere around $35-40 million. I'm not expecting Bad Santa or Timeline to do TOO well next week. The hype machine for Timeline isn't on very high, and I think they might have trouble finding an audience. And as for Bad Santa....eh.....I don't think it will do too good, despite John Ritter and Bernie Mac. Top 5 for next week: 1. Haunted Mansion 2. Cat in the Hat 3. Elf 4. Timeline 5. Master and Commander
  12. I think you're confusing British tabloids with Weekly World News, or some kind of magazine like that. I know the tabloids aren't 100% reliable, but it's not unbelievable to assume that something of this sort DID happen. As we have seen countless times, he can hardly be considered sane and normal, so I wouldn't be shocked if this was true. No, it shouldn't be taken as complete fact but if CNN, Fox News (hope to avoid daily joke), and other news channels are airing the story to the public, they must know a little more about it right now than anybody here.
  13. So......what that article is saying is......Jackson is completely innocent, and it's okay to have him back on the streets and leading kids to his Neverland ranch. Understood. Hmmm....trying to flee the country and get to South America to escape these "entirely false" charges....I don't know. Seems innocent to me.
  14. I wouldn't mind Burton if it wasn't for the fact that he should not be there at all anymore. He got voted out - he should not be back. Period. In my opinion, the whole Outcast business, and bringing back those who were once voted out, killed the season for me. And, if one of the Outcasts happen to win the game, they have made the entire season meaningless, and could hurt future Survivor games. You shouldn't be allowed to come back once you're voted out. Period. That is rule #1 of the game, and they looked past it for some cheap stunt. Was the world really begging for a Lil return? And shit, once we actually start getting rid of the interesting people like Andrew and Rupert, they aren't given a chance to get back in the game. Fucking ridiculous. Again, if Burton had earned his way to where he was now, I wouldn't mind it. But I couldn't possibly root for him or Lil, because they don't deserve to be there. And oh yeah, Lil is a stupid, leeching, depressed bitch too. Another reason I couldn't root for her.
  15. Yeah, I was rooting pretty hard for Rupert to take it, so last night's episode was a little disappointing. Besides Sandra, and possibly Christa, there's nobody really there left to root for in my opinion. As for next week.... The Heated Survivor Argument.....Sandra and Jon? They haven't liked each other from the beginning, and after her comments at Tribal Council and the fallout from Rupert being voted out....it makes sense. Sabotaging the food supply.....maybe Christa. I would actually like it if it turned out to be her. They kick off Rupert, then are going to eat all the fish he captured for them? Fuck that. I hope Christa did do something to the food. But by the way she was crying on the preview, doubt it. Probably just an accident. Touching gesture....somebody gives a prize away to somebody else. Maybe something with family. Whoop-de-doo. Who will be next to go? My pick is Christa. As for the single worst act of deception.....that interests me. If I would have to guess anybody of doing it, I would obviously pick John. But what could he have done? No idea.... And for the people who don't watch this show, how could you not? Have you ever seen the loveliness that is Lillian? I know....disgusting. The worst part is: She's looking like she has a good chance to win.
  16. Awww....look at the ugly rat (not V1). Just kidding..... Sorry. Had to edit that a little
  17. From WWE.com: WWE has elected not to offer a new contract of Dustin Runnels, aka Goldust, after his current contract expires in mid-January of 2004.
  18. Actually the Mets traded Kevin Appier to the Angels for Mo. Ted Williams told Mo in his contract year "Fenway was built for a guy like you, to leave would be foolish"...well Teddy Ballgame was right. Now we see a guy like David Ortiz who is quite similiar to Mo come into Fenway and put up career numbers. Right. My mistake. Still.......what a dumb, fucking trade that was.
  19. Also Roberto Alomar, Mike Stanton and Tom Glavine. Well: Alomar was a trade, and not a terrible one at that. I can't blame Steve Phillips for making the trade, because I thought it was awesome when it was done. Stanton - agreed. Glavine - eh.....the QuesTec system has really thrown him off this season. I didn't appreciate his constant bitching about the system, but I can accept his excuse for his off-base pitches not being counted as strikes throwing him off. But if he continues to whine this year, and still be lackluster on the mound, then yeah - we have another bust. Joining the Mets being a good career move: Piazza (though his stats have declined a little), Leiter, Olerud, Hampton, Ventura..........for now, that's about it off the top of my head. They do seem to have bad luck when it comes to bringing players in, but they aren't always unsuccessful. I mean, hell, they DID make it to the World Series three years ago. It's not like nothing ever works out for them. But yeah, they do have an ugly streak when it comes to picking up players and making trades.
  20. Mo Vaughn. What the fuck were the Mets thinking?! I'm a Mets fan but seriously, they deserved to lose every cent on that deal just for being so damn counterproductive. Nearly everyone could see he was past his prime and horribly out of shape, yet they still paid him an obscene amount of money. Terrible. I would also get into the David-Cone-as-a-starter fiasco this year as well, but eh.....
  21. Credit: Thesmokinggun.com Well.....doesn't this mugshot just scream to you "I could NEVER molest a child!!" ? Seriously, he could have made himself look a little tougher in that picture. I mean....jeez.....he looks like the epitome of a child molester in that picture. Mike, you're not helping the situation.
  22. Still? Wow...he's going for Booker T's record! How about RVD'S record, he hasn't won in a ppv since Survivor Series 2002. I think he won a tag team title match with Kane against the Dudleys at Backlash 2003. But yeah, no PPV wins since then. Pathetic.
  23. So..........who's gonna start the petition to make this a classic thread?
  24. The same jury that wouldn't convict Robert Durst, despite the fact that the guy says "Yes, I killed him and then chopped him up into little pieces later." Never underestimate the stupidity of people. OJ didn't get convicted. Durst didn't get convicted. And there's a possibility Jackson wouldn't get convicted either if this went to court. It remains to be seen.
  25. Well, obviously, the show has definitely lost something. With John Ritter, it could actually get pretty damn funny at some points. But now, instead of going "Ha ! That was funny !", others, including myself, are just going "Well....that wasn't unfunny." and that doesn't go well for any comedy. I doubt 8 Simple Rules will be making it much longer than the end of next season. It's just not that good anymore.
