I didn't see it, so I can't say with certainty, but that sounds just like Dynamite D's (formerly XPW) "D Driver" move.
-
He stopped going by Muta a few years ago, I think, but I may be wrong. From what I'm aware of, he goes by Muto now, with the exception of the upcoming AJPW US tour, on which he'll be competing as Muta, due to the US fans knowing him better as that than as Muto, presumably.

JAPW books Daniels vs. Styles!
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
You're an idiot they never wrestled in a one on one match in NWA-TNA. Know your fucking facts. I never said they wrestled one on one in TNA, moron. They've wrestled there in tag bouts w/ XXX vs. Dlo/AJ. Who's the idiot now? -
JAPW (JAPW.net) has announced the first match for it's 12/13/03 show - Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles. If you're in the area, I think I speak for a lot of people in highly recommending that you check out the show, along with JAPW's upcoming 6th anniversary show. Daniels and Styles had a breathtaking match at last year's IWA-MS TPI Tournament and have had other spectacular matches with one another in WWA, ROH, and NWA-TNA. This is not to be missed. Tickets for the 12/13 show will go on sale at this coming weekend's 6th anniversary show.

CREDIT: PuroresuFan.com "BATTLE FINAL 2003" begins on 11/24 at Korakuen Hall, and as many as six titles could be defended on the tour (IWGP Jr. Tag already confirmed as one). Josh Barnett, Scott Norton, the returning American Dragon (Bryan Danielson), and a new wrestler from Canada called The Shadow (6'3"/236lbs - is this him?) will work the tour. The Shadow has an ice hockey and karate background, and debuted as a pro wrestler in October, 2000. He won the North American Heavyweight Title last December, and has a long mustache.

HappyWrestlingLand.cjb.net has an indepth review of the match in its Review archive. Check it out, if you want a full Play By Play analysis.

Just added to the card: Hi-V - represented by The Messiah and CZW Ironman Champion Trent Acid - will battle Sonjay Dutt and the returning Nick Mondo. And in the Cage of Death Match, the feud between the H8 Club comes to a head, as Nick Gage and Nate Hatred collide. Also, Chris Hero, Tony Mamaluke and Jimmy Rave have been added to the Strong Style Tournament and the New School (Chri$ Ca$h & GQ) will be in tag team action at COD5. -

Lucha Xtreme Wrestling's 2nd show date announced!
LucharesuFan619 replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in General Wrestling
Webb's a hero of mine? Trust me-I don't need to rely on what he knows about Slash, considering I know half the workers on the LXW roster myself. Oh, and considering the # of times Webb has met Slash is well into the low single digits, I wouldn't really care, due to his credibility. -
Have htey ever wrestled 1 on 1 anywhere? I'll be at the show and I'd defniitely love to see it.
-
Yes, by Rudy Boy Gonzalez and some no named jobber who I've never heardve named Shawn Michaels.
-
Why? If he produces in the ring, and people pay to see him (I think he might be one of the few indy guys around who can actually see tickets based on who he is), isn't that all that matters? Should every Dick professional athlete be kicked out of their sport? Who cares what the locker room thinks. Just go out there and entertain the crowd and make them pay to see more of you. Ya, but who's he gonna work with if no one likes him? You have to be a team member in any sport, including pro wrestling. You can have all the talent in the world like Buff Bagwell (And YES, he was VERY talented, admit it), but if you act like a moron, you deserve not to be pushed. That's the thing about wrestling...in a lot of other sports, you can get away with it being a one man show, but in wrestling, you have to go out and put on a staged event with someone else. Since other sports aren't staged, what happens happens and so it's accepted that some guys don't like each other, but when you already know whats going to happen and you still can't get along, then there's something wrong in the whole equation.
-
I actually wouldn't be surprised if that happens, and it would be a cool match to see...but who would Ruckus face for the junior title at COD5? Sonjay again? Why not D. Frazier? Or bring in a foreigner, like AB Luke, Sal Rinauro, Icarus, or even a TNA guy. Frazier had a shot a couple of show ago. If Deranged/Azrael end their fued at NOI, I could see Deranged getting a shot. Yeah, I know, but he's still the perfect guy for it. Ruckus is working Rebel at the show and Frazier is aligned w/ Rebel, so why not continue the Rebel/Ruckus feud and have Rebel send Frazier in against Ruckus again at COD. Nothing wrong with a guy getting two title shots in a few months.

Realized I made a mistake in my last post...one of them - either Quance or Boy - actually works as Puma Kid in Mexico, not by their So-Cal name (Quance or Boy, depending on who it is). I'm not sure which it is though. One of the four did a Phoenix 720 DDT like Jody Fleisch a few weeks ago. I'm pretty sure the one who does the SSP is actually Quance but I may be wrong. I know he uses that as his finisher in other feds though.
-
You mean the Havana Brothers, not Habana. Theyre the Havana Pitbulls from So-Cal, made up of Bobby Quance, Rocky Romero, Ricky Reyes, and Pinoy Boy. And if you're just seeing them for the first time now, uve missed out on them for awhile. Quance worked for XPW a few times and XPW brought three of them in for some non-taped dark matches at their HQ b/c they were looking to bring them in at as a permanent team, but never got around to it. They were gonna work MLW, but it was cancelled.

Why the hell do you care for Barber? Are you going to read reports, watch some clips, then write a 13 page essay about it? I thought quit watching wrestling months ago. Dont come bitching to anyone here suddenly. Not many here go to 1W b/c of the popups, so thats why I posted it here. Sorry about the JA subtitle, guess it was innaccurate.

I'm working on a monster fantasy booking for CZW's upcoming Cage of Death V show. To build anticipation (if anyone even cares, LOL), I'll gradually announce some of the matches. I think everyone will enjoy the show. I've finished most of it and it looks fantastic, but I'll let you guys decide for yourselves when I finally post it. I'm not going to do any of the shitty match listing crap that so many other people do and just name the finishes. Full match summaries that - while not so long and complicated that you can't follow them - will get the general gist of each match across so that you understand what happened and don't have to just rely on my saying, "MATCH OF THE NIGHT! OH MY GOD! THE FANS CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT THEY JUST SAW!" or "This match sucked. DUD." Anyway, first matches I'm announcing are... - The main event will - of course - be the famed CAGE OF DEATH MATCH. Participants will be announced soon. - Then, throughout the card will be the first-ever CZW Six-Man, One-Night Mini-STRONG STYLE TOURNAMENT. The rules are as follows: two three-way dances in the first round. The winners of those matches collide in the final round to decide the inaugural 2003 CZW STRONG STYLE CHAMPION. The first participant announced? Who else, but..."The Notorious 187" and the original "Strong Style Thug" HOMICIDE. Also, a MYSTERY PARTICIPANT who will not be revealed until the show and a WILDCARD ENTRY from IWA-MS will compete. Cage of Death V will truly be the night that Strong Style explodes in CZW. - Plus, NICK MONDO makes his return to CZW. - And so far announced as being in action - besides those aforementioned - are the CZW Ironman Champion Trent Acid, B-Boy, Nate Hatred, The Messiah, Nick Gage, Nate Hatred, Chris Hero, Nick Berk & Z-Barr, Adam Flash, Sonjay Dutt, Chri$ Ca$h, GQ, and more. More info coming soon. Stay tuned. Feel free to post any thoughts on the current card.
